Great Star Conquer is going to use Guy to FTL it and the Bio-ship to the Mother Star.

@Mr Zoat Paul can jam FTL jumps right? He needs to get those out now before they can escape.

... wait, couldn't Ion work through Guy and say "Fuck all of this shit"?
Sure, if Guy managed to call on Ion in time. But Starro's mind control is really fast and effective and they/it are experienced against Green Lanterns; unless he went for Ion right off it'd be too late. And "call for Ion" isn't anywhere near the top of the list of things he'll try in a fight.

Shouldn't the cure tech and Anti-Assimilation training make him immune or at least highly resistant to that? o_O
No, it's been mentioned that Cure-Tech stops Starro-tech but not actual Starros and once the starfish gets on you control is near instant so no time to fight back.

Best hope they jam FTL, League comes to help, and then beat down the starfish before they can get away or do too much damage.

i like to consider the amusing idea that the Star Conqueror may accidentally trigger Ion depending on how it is interfacing with the ring when using it.

Glad I stayed up for this.

Is it just me, or have the fights in this episode been significantly more enjoyable than in previous episodes? Grayven vs. Star Hunter, OL vs demon people, and now it's going to be OL vs. Guy plus Star Hunters.

Oh, and in case it's not immediately obvious, Guy getting controlled is really, really bad. Even aside from raw construct strength, I'm honestly unsure if there is a worse Greenie to be matched up against OL right now. Guy knows basically all of OL's tricks. They've been sparring for months. Even aside from that, OL has relatively vulnerable allies that Guy can weaken to the point where a Star Hunter can easily kill them. A few spurts of fire at MM means the team doesn't have a telepath to defend them.

When was it mentioned?

This is the point where you start hollering into every available form of communication for backup. Because power rings are awesome, and hostile power rings lose none of that awesomeness.
It's just a Green, their rings shouldn't allow the use of Lethal Force.

Yes, but there are two giant telekinetic killer starfish without that prohibition.

Oh, actually the best counter to Guy may actually be pretty simple: give a live feed to Salaak or a Guardian and request his ring be shut down for the duration of his mind control. It's been mentioned much earlier in the story that that's possible.

"Uh yeah. Hey Guardians? Guy has been Starro'd and this situation isn't looking too good... Unless you want me to get the Ophidian out, get your asses over here and help."

Or just yoink his ring and convert it like Jon's.

But Guardians blocked OL's ring from connecting Greenies best way to connect them is beating Guy and taking his ring without turning it to orange. Orange Green lantern is only way to connect them unless other Green Lanterns are around and free from mind control.
