Wait, Bane's dead? I know he got assimilated in Renegade (just reminded me... that means that Bane and Crock Jr are just kinda stuck inside the orange ring now since Grayven switched out to yellow) but I don't recall anything permanent happening to him in the mainline.
He went after his father in China, so the Great 10 killed him.

He also Dannered Teth Adom's baseline form, in preparation to fight the mind controlled League.
Ah, forgot that bit.

Still, though, I doubt Teth Adom is the sort to let on something like that absentmindedly. Aside from the fact that the chances of an interviewer assuming he wasn't already superpowered in his base form (considering that he stays in it pretty much continuously, the fact that he even has a different form would likely be a surprise for the average person), he was a ruler previously, and a warrior besides. Letting on the source of your strengths/weaknesses to a random person is a bad habit.

Ah. Seem to have forgotten/missed that as well.

With Hugo Strange in prison in Louisiana a Doctor Young is running Arkham Asylum
Well, she's going to have problems starting her Titan project with Bane dead, so it should be OK.

I wince slightly. "Sorry, I've… Been kind of occupied. How's that been going?"

"It kinda hasn't." His eyes drop to the ground for a moment. "Nyssa's been doing her best, but the knowledge just isn't there."

"Anything I can do to help?"

"I don't think…" Something appears to occur.
Finally!

Hmm. Wonder what the future brings for kid flash?

Will he disappear into the speed force only for someone to yank him back in because he left a metaphysical anchor of himself somewhere?

Will he make bad jokes at the wrong person and end up traveling to Maltus with OL?
Heh. I think it would be hilarious if, after years of being sidelined, Dick and Wally ended up having to go with OL into space for some reason.

Seriously...
You know we were just joking about the whole "utterly incompetent" bit right?
They are using Waynetech acquired security.
The guy doing the inspecting is Bruce Wayne's adopted son, who also happens to be Batman's sidekick.
And who was on the wrong side of a base invasion by androids not long ago.

His standards for security may be a wee bit higher than others would consider reasonable.
Just a bit.

Except that the kind of people who are going to come at STAR Labs are the kind of people who, through tech, powers, sorcery, social engineering, or just planning, can just openly laugh at normal high-end security measures.

Honestly, I'd say his standards aren't high enough, considering the League's been using these places as a dumping ground for every pauldron, statuette, and apocalyptic alien plague they've ever bumped into.

If they actually had R&D as their primary goal, I could kind of see them skimping a bit on security - and then demand they up their game.

Unfortunately, their actual goal seems to be sitting atop heaps of unanalyzed, untested schizotech like a dragon with his gold, complete with never using it for any constructive purpose. As I stated earlier, they should be reclassified as a neutral containment company and restructure accordingly, in which case they also need to up their game.

Really, they just need to up their game in general.

Honestly they should at a minimum be operating Space X levels of computer security.

That seems like a fairly dangerous thing to say to an Apokolyptian.

I mean, what if he had gone for kill?

That would probably save lives in the long run? OL is in a pretty shitty situation, where his Apokolyptian people-management skills are the only thing between Canis and a capital-I Incident. He knows that he will be needed for more important things, so more than anything else OL needs the situation resolved. If Canis learns to stoically ignore aggravating individuals, great. If he misjudged Canis badly enough that he accidentally goaded him into murder, well, that was probably going to blow up with a higher body-count later.
