they did before the army took over,

Army...24th Tournament. This is post-Namek if I'm not mistaken. Seems the events of the original Dragon Ball still happened in some way, because I don't remember Piccolo Daimao having an army. If it's an army, then...either Red Ribbon somehow crawled back from it's grave or we have to deal with Space Statesmen in our yard.

Good grief, it's Frieza, isn't it?

Better start bringing the band together next turn, because sooner or later mister Freezer is gonna pop up and demand the remainder of the planet to obey him.

Either that or Cell formed his own army, which is even worse.

Honestly, if it's anyone beyond Piccolo Daimaou, we are just straight up cooked. Even the weakest main Villain of Z, Vegeta, is a Planet Buster.

Kinda hard to balance that, so I think for the sake of powerscaling if nothing else, this sticks to the Original Dragon Ball.

So, either the Red Ribbon Army, or Demon King Piccolo.

Counterpoint: Kee is a villain from GT and the compendium mentions all four series as part of the universe.

So in the end is anyone's game so far, unless we decide to make an investigation on the matter.

Although, she muses, wincing when watching a bull-man ram his head into a nearby tree, knocking it down. We still got a lot of work ahead of us.

She sighed. While many of these guys were eager to learn from her, she lacked something that was necessary to the recruitment stage; charisma. She had spent most of her life ruling through an iron fist (granted the household she lived in called for such tough love) to make sure things stayed under control, and she still had trouble trying to find the proper way to communicate with these people outside of drill instructor mode.
Oh, yah. As good as you can train the troops and prepare them, a Good Leader needs Charisma and able to inspire the men. To get them to believe and follow you as their decision and not because they are required. As good in Martial as Nicole, that is something that needs filling in and I'm guessing this interlude gives us someone who can.

Sometimes it's during these times that I wish that Ri-

She stopped herself before she could finish the thought. It didn't do any good to have a mental breakdown right here in front of the recruits.
Ohhhh, that gives some hint to how bad things got. What possible Kings took over there or what happened so far?

Quietly sneaking up on the man, she could hear him mumbling something under his breath... and noticed him holding a cellphone up to his ear. "-no, sweetie, I promise this is gonna be a great thing for us! I mean, these guys are so desperate for help that they're picking up any chump they find on the streets these days. I hear that their trainer around here is some cat woman and a Russian goat man. Can you believe that?"

Her eyes narrowed. Oh yeah, this guy was getting his butt kicked.

The man winced at whatever the person on the other line was saying. "...yes, I know that sounded a bit demeaning, but-"

...

"Hey! I respect all fighters across the world, no matter what race or gender they are! Believe me..." he shuddered. "I learned that lesson the hard way. Your mother never let me hear the end of it."

...

"Yeah, I know you wouldn't either," he grumbled. "Just... let an old man have his moment in the spotlight, please? Trust me, when they get a load of me, all they'll be saying is-"

"How long can you last against this 'cat woman'?" Nicole stoically said.

"Yeah, and...!"

The man freezes... and slowly turns around to face Nicole, revealed a blue-hued face with snot leaking out of one nostril. His mustache quivered in fear as she cracks her knuckles.

"Vi-Videl, sweetie," the man gulped. "I just want you to know that your daddy loves you and for you to destroy whatever he has in the box above his dresser."
Talk shit and get recked. still... Videl, oh damn it is this Hercule? I mean.... I do get it. He was the strongest Known human in the eyes of the world in Dragon Ball Z and is a decent martial artist, just not one that uses Ki. though he is able to connect and talk with the rank and file, he has a sort of a charisma. Still he has not learned to not judge others by appearances in terms of ability. because Cat person, but I think he's bought into his own hype too much, maybe as a sort of coping mechanism. HAH, his introduction here was fun regardless.

You raise a hand to stop the man's ramblings. "Hold on a sec... Chikyu? What kinda country is that."

The man blinked, surprised. "Err... it's a continent, Mr. President, sir. Located in between the Indian Ocean, neighbors to Africa, Asia, Australia... you, uh, you never heard of it?"

You look to Nicole in confusion, who simply shrugged back.

"Get this guy outta here."
... Holy shit, I actually never questioned where the events of Dragonball took place. I legitimately didn't remember where that country was placed. So shit it was south of India? I guess the only other place besides the pacific it makes sense to place it. but Benson and Nicole don't know about it....was Chikyu teleported here on this earth and that's why no one knows of it?

The man's demeanor turned cocky, planting both fists on his hips, despite the kneeling position he was in. "Because you're looking at a world-class martial artist, mister! The bringer of pain, the proprietor of destruction himself! The one. The ONNNNLLLLY... MR. SATAN!! YEAAAAAAAAAH!"

He jumps up to his feet, flashing twin peace signs as he roared in manly triumph!

...

You and Nicole just stare at him.
Like this, he guy has a good heart and can do some good PR, might be a little over the top but can fill in on inspiring and connecting with the lowe ranks.

Coughing, you wipe away your tears and turn to look at Hercule. "Nicole isn't one to take things lightly, so I'll take her word for it. However," you cut off his celebratory cheer with a raised hand. "Don't think what you'll be doing is gonna be an easy job, buddy. Like you said, we fight aliens and monsters around here on a weekly basis, and Nicole's training regimen is one that'll break your spirit and your back before you meet her expectations. Once you take this, there's no going back... unless you choose to quit, but that's a given."

"Aww, thank you, Mr. Benson!" Hercule took your hand and shook it fervently. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! Don't you worry, sir, I won't let you down! Whatever Ms. Nicole throws at me, I'll take it tenfold! No, a hundredfold! I'll do a thousand push-ups with one finger if need be!"

"Only a thousand," Nicole echoed. "With one finger?"
On the plus side, this might be what Hercule needs to start competeing on the higher end of things or could be a whole arc of him conquering his fear of Kii and maybe start to learn it. Then again, Regular Show had them as normal parkworkers working those kind of threats.

HAHA, Nicole still isn't letting go of his comments earlier is she? planning to make his training regimen like hell... or that is legit how the training regimen is.

Mark 'Hercule' Satan gasped for breath, sweat pouring off him like a waterfall as his limbs struggled to hold up the thousand-ton weights wrapped around his biceps and thighs, slowing his momentum. Behind him, a pack of wild wolves charged after the man, all eager for man flesh.
We really are going Dragonball Training style with this. Good job with that QM.

Good grief, it's Frieza, isn't it?

Either that or Cell formed his own army, which is even worse.
Eh, my money is more on the Red Ribbon Army making a come back and the QM needing more characters so he uses side characters or minor villians from other series to pad out the encounters.

Well, we didn't have that action in turn one so Wonderful Toys as the most reachable, and as we didn't complete it yet in turn two, felt it would be better to round that up. And then we had the mission this turn, and Thomas is one of our best Intrigue units, so Chop Shop felt as the less risky action overall, though if we did pick that action this turn we would have clean the first threshold. If things go right on this quest, we should be able to at least get the Test sisters as our Learning Units for now, and as they're super-smart, they should probably handle that with little issues.

You were under in less than a minute and you dreamed…of your old life.

Nightmares and noises, the small noises, the little things in life that once were an annoyance, were now a constant source of anxiety.

You first hoped that moving into the countryside would alleviate your worries, working from windfall to windfall, and for the rhythm of life to take over.

It failed, and your sense of purpose withered on the vine.

So…honesty failed, and so you turned to the darker world, the criminal's world.

If silence couldn't bring you peace, then noise and violence would.

You wouldn't deny that you were happy, or that sense of adventure kept you going.

What drew you away, was a small realization.

You were already dead there…

And you didn't want to die a slave to vices and someone else's greed.

You…wanted to live again…you wanted to have your life in your own hands.

It only took having it stripped away in order to finally wake you up from the haze of Roanapur's siren call.

It promised nothing but an illusion and took everything.

You looked out the window of your mind and looked at the mirror holding your past life, the honorable man lost in life from war's damages and a life he didn't know how to live.

"I don't want to live like this anymore." You said looking at the images of the past several years.

"Then get up and start walking. It's a long climb out of the hole you've fallen into." He said.

And then you woke up, the bandages covering your body. And the bomb on the table next to you.

Boomer did it.

You smiled. "Neat handiwork."

"And here I thought I botched it. Careful now." He said tenderly carrying you up to a more comfortable position. "You alright?"

"I just felt a great weight lift off of my heart." You said. "I feel so much better."

"That would be this little bastard." He said pointing at the shaped charge and you realized how small it was.

You thought it would have been…bigger.

"Well, you are a lifesaver." You smiled and took off your glasses and looked at the floor, "You didn't leave anything in me did you?"

"Not a peak, and I didn't nick anything important either." He said. "Wanna do anything with it?"

Interlude: Heart of Eiss
You raise an eyebrow at the small auto-shop before you, the sunset from behind casting a strange ominous glow to its appearance. The billboard titled 'Teku's Motors' seemed catchy enough, and the strange techno-synth music blaring from inside was a catchy beat.

"So, this is the place?" you ask Charlie, who shrugged in response.

"I guess so. Never came down here before tonight, so I doubt she'll be welcoming to two guys walking in without giving her a heads-up about this."

You frown. "Look, I get how this may look to you, but using discretion is the right call for us. Between Gene's pranking, Don Kee's goons stalking around other parts of the Kingdom, and god knows what else, I need to take every precaution necessary to save us a potential fight out of here."

"Uh-huh," Charlie crossed his arms. "And what about the fight going inside, Boss? My uncle knows a guy like this chick, and trust me, auto-mechanics don't fuck around, man. Last time a guy like us tried something like this where I come from, guy was sitting in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, drinking food out of a straw."

"C'mon," you snorted, walking up to the front entrance and pulling on the handle. "You really think that some lady is strong enough to do something like that to us?"

"Okay, ignoring that frankly sexist comment, dude... you've seen what Nicole's capable of, yeah? And other crazy chicks in your time as park manager, right?"

You open your mouth... then promptly close it in embarrassment.

"Err, let's keep this between you and me, okay?"

"I dunno, Boss, I don't really support that kind of talk from anybody. I mean, it's 20XX, not the 1800's, dude. Like genuinely, that shit's not cool to say whatsoever, you could get a lot of bad flak for having those kind of thoughts."

FAILURE!!

The door opens up and something black and heavy tackles you to the ground, causing you to sputter in pain and Charlie to freak out. You don't have any time to react before you're flipped over on your face and your hands are held by something cold behind your back.

"SPARKY!"

You blink, hearing some sort of... robot's voice(?) coming from behind you. Glancing out of the corner of your eye, you notice some sort of black-and-green robot wearing a baseball cap and sparking erratically, giving you a dumb-looking smile that's undercut by just how strong this thing was.

"Whoa-whoa-whoa, man!" Charlie exclaimed, waving his arms all over the place. "Take it easy, man, we don't got anything going on here. We're here to see Karma, is she in?"

"Sparky?"

"N-no, Karma."

"Sparky."

"No, I said Karma."

"Sparky!"

"Dude, if you say that one more time, I swear I'm gonna punch you."

"I wouldn't try it, he's a lot tougher than he looks."

Out from the shadows of her own shop, Karma Eiss appeared, her face cool as a cucumber and nonetheless threatening with it, even with her jumpsuit stained with grease and oil stains. She gave you a look, crossing her arms.

"So," she said coldly. "Do we have a problem here?"

"Whoa-whoa-whoa!!" Charlie stepped in between you and Karma. "Relax, girl, it's just us. Remember me?"

Karma just stared, nonplussed.

"You know, Charlie? From the bar?"

"That's not saying much," she snorted. "I meet a lot of people at bars."

"Dude, you literally drove me to my apartment!"

"Yeah. Cause I'm an Uber driver."

"You're a... huh?"

You resist the urge to facepalm while Karma rolls her eyes.

"Look, unless you guys are here to request a ride or get your car fixed, which I doubt on both accounts."

The woman casts a dry look toward the golf cart you rode in on before turning back to you.

"Then I'm gonna ask you nicely to get off my property. You're trespassing."

"Sparky!" The robot pinning you down chirps, sparks coming out of its neck.

"No, wait," you hiss. "We're not here to do anything bad to your place, miss, honest. I'm Benson, the guy who runs this kingdom."

"Oh, I know who you are. That only gives me more incentive to kick your butts to the curb right now."

Charlie gulps audibly.

The robot starts to put pressure down on your head when-

"We're here for a job!"

You exclaim, feeling excruciating pain before a snap of someone's fingers alleviates you of that pain.

"Explain." Karma simply states.

And so you do. You tell her about the message that no doubt everyone has seen from that Mary Test girl (yes, she's seen it) and how no one seems to be helping her (yes, she's noticed that too, but isn't surprised).

What she was surprised by was when you said you wanted to help her. Your plan involved having Nikolai and Daphne sneak into the borders of Rutopia, find where this kidnapped girl is being held and then get out of dodge with her before the war broke out.

What they needed from Karma was a getaway driver. Daphne might be talented, but someone who had a camouflaged car might have a few more tricks up their sleeve than Daphne's Mystery Machine.

Karma looked up at the sky for a few minutes, her eyes lost in thought. Her robot had thankfully backed off, allowing you to come to your feet, wiping away any dust you might have collected.

Charlie still looked bummed that Karma didn't know who he was.

Finally, Karma asked you a question: "Why?"

"Huh?" was your eloquent reply.

"Why are you helping this girl? You have no previous history with her or her family, nor do you have any incentive to get involved in a fight between two murderous kids. From what I've seen, you always spent more time on your kingdom than on the affairs of others, so what makes this event so special?"

You... really didn't know what to say to that. Truthfully, you didn't know why exactly you should get involved in this business. It was messy, chaotic, and bound to get your workers killed in some horrible fashion. You'd already lost one crew, why should you lose another one?

...

And then you remembered. The tears in Mary's eyes, the way her voice shook, the lack of hope emanating from her...

You knew that feeling all too well. And you'd be damned to let it happen again to anyone else.

You look up at Karma and say softly, "Because it's the right thing to do."

...

After what felt like an eternity, Karma finally smiled.

"I see... so. What's in it for me?"

"Helping some broken household kid out would be a start," Charlie mumbled.

"And you'd be in the Kingdom's debt for this. Anything that you need, I can offer it."

"Really? Anything?"

You weren't entirely convinced of the way she said that but nodded.

"Yeah. You heard me."

Karma hummed. "...alright then. If you can do me a favor, then I'll help."

Your eyes narrow. "And that favor is...? I'm not throwing out things willy-nilly on vague promises, so what is it?"

Taken aback by your anger, Karma purses her lips and looks off to the side, a bitter frown on her face. "You don't make it easy, do you?"

"I'm waiting."

"Tch," Karma closes her eyes and slowly speaks. "I have some friends back where I come from that are... in trouble. We split up initially to try and cover ground, but things just don't work out like you hope it would."

"Where are your friends?" Charlie quietly asked.

Bowing her head, Karma whispers out, "Iowa."

That makes you sober up, your anger fizzling out and replaced with a bone-chilling feel. Iowa... one of the states held under the control of some Lady Gelorum and her army of robot minions. Not many people from that kingdom are alive to tell the tale, and here before you is one such person.

A feeling of guilt washes over you at your bone-headedness. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean-"

She cuts you off with a hand held up, taking in a deep breath.

"What happened then doesn't matter now. I still want that favor but know that... it's for a good cause. If you are that white knight you paint yourself out to be on the news."

You shift uncomfortably. "I'm not that much of a saint, but I do believe that people need to help each other out at times. Except if they're a jerk."

Karma snorts. "And am I a jerk?"

"So far, I don't see any reason to make me think otherwise."

Karma lets out a soft laugh and gives you a small smile, this one more genuine than what you've seen from her.

"Then let's not ruin that perception, then. When do I start?"

KARMA EISS HAS BEEN RECRUITED FOR THE RESCUE MISSION TO RUTOPIA. INFORMATION ABOUT KARMA'S BACKSTORY HAS BEEN REVEALED.

"We've prepared almost everything for the riot control; Helicopters, advanced riot guard, and even a handful of reserve units from Bluddhaven and the surrounding counties, GCPD is on standby to deal with any attempts to escape by sea and the West Quarter Wall." He said. "I've already prepared overwatch in key sectors for scouting information so the plan can have as little margin for error as possible."

"Excellent, has Mrs. Waller been informed of any other contingencies in case operational problems are detected and more…unsavory methods are required?" You continued.

"I haven't heard back, but knowing Waller, she has someone watching us." He said.

You nodded. "Then you may prepare to execute the operation at your leisure Mr. Bolton…and what of the Smuggler's tunnel on the Downtown end? Has it outlived its purpose?"

"No sir the Information trade remains intact, though I'm worried about what they are smuggling in now with all the chaos?" He said. "They could be-"

"A necessary risk, you know how valuable having a pulse on the growing criminal cartels that will dot the world…and Arkham is the nexus on which this information will flow,it is too easy a way to get things in, and moved, but never leaked without my knowledge," you said firmly.

"Forgive me sir, but…even so it is still a terrible risk." He said.

"And that is why we rigged the tunnels they use with explosives. As a countermeasure…Lyle, very little is allowed that I cannot control." You replied calmly. "As for what I cannot? I can plan around such things."

You felt the hairs on your back rise…ahh, this is interesting.

"Don't you know its rude to eavesdrop Mr. Lutton?" You finished as the room went dark.

----------------------

(POV Shift-Sam)

You gasped. "I saw it all, there's a smuggling route to the Downtown end…they use it as a part of their information gathering network."

Boomerang shook. "And why would the ever living hell would Strange let a hole like that in his prison?"

"Information is a currency, especially when it comes to the Criminal Underworld…and having control of the flow of it and goods…means he has a mint, Boomer comes on, you're a criminal from the Flash's Rogues Gallery…you should be on top of this." You said somewhat surprised at the man's lack of underworld savvy.

"I've been in the slammer too long, and between bouts of working for Waller and all the other nuts in Task Force X; my underworld savvy's got a bit of rust on it." He said.

"Well that is true even you need to know that, otherwise you'd be dead. Information makes the world go round." You said.

"Heh, that it does." He said.

And so you walked, to the end of all things…the final and ever-elusive escape.

You only hoped it was worth all the cost in the end.

It was all you had left to cling to.

One Last Challenge: D100 + 10 => 99
Who!: D6 => 2 (Lord Pain)

The Man waiting by the entrance of the cave was a lanky-looking man his clothes clean and well-groomed, yet shabby; his boots caked in dirt and grime from the walk in the tunnel to the city.

He was well-fed and wore armor, yet his helmet was imposing, and practical he was poised like a warrior and that mace looked like he meant business.

"Hello Mr. Lutton, I'm afraid that your services in the matter of holding that is over." He said.

"Who the hell is this lanky nut?" Boomer said.

"I…AM LORD PAIN! MASTER OF THE CIRCLE OF SUFFERING!" He said treating his introduction of himself like a grand performance to be celebrated. "SERVANT OF THE GREAT MANDY! And Forebarer of your DOOM Samuel Lutton."

"If you will surrender the case I will promise you a swift and painless death." He said with a bow.

Diplomacy Check: I ain't going to be a fool
DC:95
Rolled: D100 => 1

"What if I don't want to die? I want to live." You said as you motioned Boomer to step back out of the way.

He was going to be yours.

"You seem to think your life means something Mr. Lutton, I assure you it never meant anything and you will die as you were always meant to…and alone in a back ally, who's life amounted to nothing!" He said. "JUST LIKE EVERYONE HERE!"

Reward: +10 to Lord Pain's Combat rolls

This was a duel, one you had to win this was it.

One last fight for your freedom.

There could be no more fitting ending here.

Martial Check: Draw!!
DC: Challange
Rolled: D100 + 9 => 101 Crit: D100 => 74-10
Vs
Lord Pain: D100 => 55 +20(Rested and able)+10=85
(LOTTON Gets the Inisative and First action)

Pain was using a mace, which for a weapon used by anyone to kill another hasn't been the strangest thing to see someone fight with in your time; but it was the strangest thing to happen to you today.

And considering what's happened to you in the last couple of days…that was saying alot.

*SWING!* "FACE DEATH AND PAIN WITH A Smile Mr. Lutton, just like all those bombs that blew up in your face!"

You had to focus and be on your toes for this one…and this guy was nuts.

*SWING SWING*

Lotton Martial Check: One Bullet, for a bastard!
DC:25/50/80/100
Rolled: D100 + 9 => 70+10=80

*Bang!* You fired half blindly into the man/thing dodging and rolling to the side the clanging of the case apparent as you tumbled back to your feet.

Lord Pain Wound Severity: D100 => 31 (Minor Damage, Left Arm)

It was a blind shot, but you managed to nick him close, blood was pouring out of the guy's arm in a fine trickle. You hurt him, you made him bleed.

But it wasn't a victory.

Lord Pain Martial Check: DIE FOR MY MASTER!
DC:25/50/80/100
Rolled: D100 => 15+20+10=45

And at that, he swung wildly. Prodigiously and with skill and grace, but they lacked the accuracy expected, he was mad, and that made him sloppy.

Lotton Wound Severity: D100 => 12-25=-13

He didn't even hit you once.

And that was everything you needed.

Lotton Martial Check: Hell for a Shot
DC:25/50/80/100
Rolled: D100 + 9 => 86+10=96
CRIT: d100 => 17
Total: 113
Reward: +20 to Enemy Wound Severity!

You then held out both your pistols and smiled and fired away.

*Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!**Bang!*

*CLICK*

Wait…did I forget to reload? And you looked at both of your empty pistols and then looked at your target.

Lord Pain Wound Severity: D100 + 20 => 106 (Destroy Kneecap, Right Leg, Gut Shot, leaving him deliberately in pain and agony X8, don't worry he's a demon, he's not dead.)

You'd blown his kneecap off, and hit him several times in the torso, near his stomach, the smoldering and smoke coming out of him meant that some of the little incendiaries must be cooking him, but not burning him alive as you had expected.

He was close to death's door, but he wasn't in the grave, just close to it.

"Holy SHIT!" Boomer said.

He coughed up blood and smoke, but he was still breathing despite the pain, Lord Pain was living up to his name. "You think this will kill me!"

"No, but the blood loss will, now hush the adults are talking." You said.

LOTTON WINS

Intrigue Roll: ONE LAST IDEA?
DC:???
Rolled: D100 => 92 (CRITICAL SUCCESS)

"I don't want to be followed…see any potential here?" You said.

"A little, just need something really big, yet small enough to deal with. Squeeze it in nicely and tight?" He said.

You then held up the shaped charge you once had in your gut.

"That'll do nicely." He said.

Lotton Diplomacy Roll: One Last Goodbye?
Rolled: D100 => 17

The Dinner was…in some rundown corner on the edge of town, close enough to the city to see the lights and sirens in the city; yet far enough away to have a moment's peace.

"I got you out." You said taking a drink of your milk.

"That you did." He said taking a drink of coffee and sighing. "Well, I guess this is where we part."

"Really…we worked so well in the city?" You said. "I mean, we got out once we'd go to ground and just relax."

"Not the way I roll, got a lot to do, a reputation to rebuild; a life to get back on track as it were, listen I'm not ungrateful mate it's just the partnership was; temporary." He said.

You frowned. "I hoped it would have worked out in the long run."

'It will, but now? I can't just…I can't." He said. "I'll always thank you mate but…I'm my own master, only room for one Captain."

So that was how it was, not the kindest way of putting it, but still, you'd hoped there would be more comradery.

But…he was being as open as he could with his goodbye.

"So I get my cut of the loot?" You said.

"Seventy Percent of whatever that Shipment was…I'd call that a windfall even now." He tapped your shoulder. "Good luck out there mate."

"See you on the road Captain." You said.

"Names George, by the way." He said.

"Sam…Good luck buddy." You said.

TRAITS

"LOTTON THE WIZARD, HERO OF Roanapu-": Lotton is one of the rare and weirdest sort of Characters to survive Roanapur intact with a degree of sanity and (Most of) his marbles intact, while thinking he is a Shonen Anime Hero...yeah he's a complete idiot. "Bounty Hunter, A Cowboy you could say...": Lotton is despite appearances, a Fully Licensed and Trained Bounty Hunter in the United States, with all background qualifications and training required to operate as a Bail Bonds Agent, in Roanapur, which means he's slightly smarter and trained then the average fodder. (+2 Martial and Intrigue, +5 to all rolls related to an investigation and following a paper trail, +3 to all rolls related to using a gun.)

"EOD Specialist"- Lotton The Wizard is an EXPERT In Military Grade explosives, IEDs, Landmines, basic timer bombs, you name it you've probably disarmed it once. (Lotton gains a +15 to all rolls related to Explosive ordinance, He has a +20 to his rolls related to disarming and disposing of them, He has a +5 to all rolls related to arming and using explosives in General.)

"On Vacation (From Sawyer and Shenhau): With the Chaos around the City as of late, the three of you agreed that you needed to focus on work more, so your on a break from your friendship.

----------------------------------------

You sat alone; and listened deeply to yourself.

No more nightmares, no more tearing away yourself for the thrill of being shot at.

Here you are at the end of all things...with so much in front of you.

You had your whole life in front of you.

Now what were you going to do with it.

There are Path's in front of you now...all you have to do now is choose.

[]The Path of the Outlaw: You'll always be an Outlaw, Roanapur, America, you'll always look over your shoulder for the rest of your life, not after Arkham City...you'll forever be marked by the fact that on both sides of the Law, you were cast out...now all you can do now is choose the end you wish. (Lotton has chosen the Path of the Outlaw, and has resigned himself the the freedom to choose his own end and legacy, whatever he chooses.)

I've sat here and realized that I cannot control anything in my life beyond the ending of my story. Many consider that a curse, to not rule anything in your life beyond how and why you end it. Its not how you live in this world that matters now...Its how it ends.

Who know's maybe I'll be spoken in the same vain as the god damn Deadshot!

[]The Path of the Wanderer: In spite of appearances and crimes out of your homeland, you are not a criminal of the United States and can move around no matter the cost, and you even have your old account, your right back where you started, listless and alone, without a cause or even a master. (Lotton has chosen the Path of the Wanderer, without a master or a goal. There is freedom here...but no greater ambition.)

All I have left is my Freedom and the road in front of me. Each step and each choice my own, there is no certainty beyond moving forward, one step in front of the other.

Thats it, Freedom and Moving on, You wondered how many get lost on this path to where they need to be?

But how and where it goes from here is up to Fate itself.

You weren't a religious man, but you knew enough about life to not completely discount the things beyond your sight.

[]The Path of the Mercenary: You sat in front of the Man, the suit that always seemed to know everything without the heart to tell the uniform why they were going to die. "Well, that's a hell of a tale. If it were my decision I'd have thrown into a dark dark hole, but since you came willingly, and good help is so hard to find these days...Welcome to the Team" (Lotton has chosen the Path of the Mercenary, A Dog of his nation, a soldier loyal to coin and what they can give him, it's not a foolproof path to salvation, but it seems to be honest enough a career after everything, it even comes with a Pardon for your little misadventure)

Looking back on your life; you think leaving home when you just could have become a contractor for some shady part of the government was a bit premature of you.

Yes they probably wouldn't have used you much, but the pay was good, the benifits were real and well, you could do what you did in Roanapur with actual health insurance.

So...hooray for going full circle and returning to where you think you belong.

[]Return to Roanapur: You cannot return there. Not now not ever, not after such a betrayal, you will never return to the place the living dead gather to fight and die. ( Sam looked at himself, "Never again will I be used I finally realized what it means to live once again.")

Once, despite everything, I had once considered that place my home. When I was spiritually dead, living day to day wondering if it would kill me or not. I had friends and enemies, allies and lived the life of a Fool who was more aware then he let on.

But I'm finally awake, and have realized the Trap of Roanapur and its false promises of an answer.

I'm sorry that I can't return and bring you guys away from it all.

But that prison can keep my empty cell, I will not return to it.

7/7 Rewards Acquired: CHOICE UNLOCKED!

[]The Path of the Red Hood: Gotham had carried many legends before and after the BAT, and sitting in a dingy New Jersey apartment, reading of them and their stories one stood out to you.
About a man in red who challenged the order of his world and fought to his dying breath against it, never letting anyone sway him off the path. You can't help but feel... an understanding to such ideals.

(Lotton has taken up the Legacy of the long-dead Red Hood, a mysterious vigilante from Old Gotham, and seeks to give it new life in his own fashion.)

In Old Gotham Lore, the Red Hood was originally a former soldier who returned from war to see Gotham beset by crime, bootlegging, gambling and more. And without a care or a thought they ruled.

Disgusted by such madness in his home, he fought and fought with all he knew, the newsman called him a killer, the politician called him an anarchist idealist and a communist agent. The masses themselves called him a Hero and Monster.

But he knew who and what he was.

And died for that...alone and with a smile on his face in some dark ally.

You should feel fortunate to live up to half of what he did.

AN: Well here is the End of Lotton's Journey for now...the GM will choose where this may go in his own time but for the moment Lotton's Journey has reached the moment where we must depart to another wandering soul in need of guidance and fun Omake potential.

I had so much fun writing this with the GMs guidance and help to keep it Canon. And Lotton's gone from some petty mercenary working for some of the worse people in the setting to...

Some guy who dragged himself out of the pit of bad decisions he made and back to something resembling a good person.

Be like Lotton, its not to late to change for the better.

Enjoy and please Don't choose the choices, only the Quest master can!

Have fun!

Who should we worry about during the "Rescue" Mission, aside from Stewie himself?

I bet that Eugene Bling is going to appear and do something INCREDIBLY stupid.

Dunno, if it follows the plot of the episode of stewie president. Between the secret service that he has in that episode. Maybe on of his ex the one that is a super villain.

And stewie himself using time travel, and maybe Brian, but i see Brian more like shield.

The Adventures of Lotton, END
In the end, you decided to take a path out of the life you found yourself in. You were a foreign man in a foreign land, your crimes in this place (minus that of what you got up to in Arkham City) non-existent, and plenty of money to keep you afloat and away from those in Roanapur.

After all the shit it took getting out of there, I'm not so keen on going back so soon. Let alone causing any commotion that could bring some heat down on my head. Still... would be nice to have a place to call home. Little nice house with a yard, pretty white-picket fence, a car that isn't too fancy but not so ancient either. Ah, that'd be the life.
"More milk, hun?"

You blink, turning to look at the middle-aged waitress smiling down at you, and return one yourself.

"Sure thing. Appreciate it, doll."

"My, my, a flirt, aren't ya?" she chuckled, filling your mug up with delectable brewed goodness. "Much more than that pal of yours."

"Oh, don't mind him. He's a little testy, is all. We've had a few rough nights and well, he's ready to get back out on the road."

"What about you?"

You blink, a little surprised. "What do ya mean?"

"Well," she shrugs, handing you back your milk. "Your friend's already taken off outta here, and no offense to this place, but it doesn't seem like the type of area a guy like you seems happy sticking around in. Least you want to retire here in the boonies."

You chuckle, sipping at your drink. Damn, you forgot how much you loved yours warm.

"Nah, you got a point there. I'm a free man now, and the open road is my new mistress now."

She raises an eyebrow at you. "I'd question that, but considering the giant mega-prison we're living near and the fact that you haven't blown us up, I say you're a lot better than most of the creeps they got locked up in there."

Wouldn't you know it.
Instead, you tell her, "This is some damn good milk. Swear to god it's like you put crack in this stuff to make me all hyper. Any chance I could kidnap ya away from your husband and bring you along?"

"Naw, been divorced for awhile but I ain't got anywhere else to go but here. It's home for me."

The earnest tone in the woman's voice makes you pause for a moment, reconsidering the thoughts you had earlier. A home, huh?

...

"Thank you for the milk," you quietly say, handing her back the mug. "It was good."

"Anytime, sugar. You take care out there, alright?"

You nod and a little while later, you leave the booth you were sitting in... leaving behind a generous tip of ten grand for the woman to have for herself.

The sounds of sirens from the prison hit you like a truck as you stepped out of the diner, but you didn't let it deter you. George had already taken off to parts unknown, but he'd be kind to leave behind the car you two took on your way outta here. Though you quietly hope that whatever car he took didn't belong to that waitress in there-

"WHERE'S MY FUCKING CAR?!"

...ah, never mind, then. Just some random asshole.

You quietly chuckle, getting in the car and driving out of the area for good. The window was down and you let the wind and cold rain hit your face, a smile on your face as the radio continued playing in the background.

All I have left is my Freedom and the road in front of me. Each step and each choice, my own. There is no certainty beyond moving forward, one step in front of the other.

That's it. Freedom and moving on. You wondered how many get lost on this path to where they need to be?

But how and where it goes from here is up to Fate itself.

You weren't a religious man, but you knew enough about life to not completely discount the things beyond your sight.

REWARD: (Lotton has chosen the Path of the Wanderer, without a master or a goal. There is freedom here...but no greater ambition.)
