Murmurs of agreement went up half-heartedly, the adults more focused on the checks they received than you.
You sigh, nursing a headache throbbing in your head. "I've went ahead and added a bonus to each of your paychecks for the hard work you've put into cleaning up this City the past two months. Consider it my thanks for what we've all done to get to this point, all that blood, sweat, and tears."
"I don't think any of us were crying here, man," Gumball piped up, laying on the grass nearby with Darwin.
"Yeah, it was more of the local politicians when Mrs. Mom broke up their extra funding with those gangsters," Darwin added, a blade of grass dangling from his lips.
"Well, not to be a little haughty here, buuuuut I did do a lot of damage to those stuck-up jerks," Nicole smirked, looking proud of herself.
"Lucky," Okuyasu pouted. "All I got to do was clean up the Park and go for walks with the Boss."
"Hey, don't even let me catch you complaining, man," Charlie elbowed Okuyasu. "Okay, I took up most of the jobs in this place while everyone else was off doing their own thing. Was bullshit to even happen in the first place."
"We're sorry, Charlie," Daphne apologized. "We all just got caught up in our tasks that we sorta... well-"
"Slacked off?" Wilt spoke up.
"Yeah, that. Thanks, Wilt."
"Anytime!" Wilt grinned. "But if you need any help around here, guys, I'm gonna be around. Don't think Mr. Benson's given me any real task yet, so I can help out while everyone else focuses on what they need to do."
"We're not gonna put all the pressure on one guy, Wilt," you say. "Like with Charlie, no one deserves to shoulder that responsibility alone. Now thanks to him, the Park's getting help from the City in rebuilding some areas deemed hazardous by the safety department, so we got that covered. So long as you go around and keep an eye on things, we should be good to go by the month's end."
"It does look better than it did before," Nikolai comments, earning a lot of agreement from everyone else.
"And it's gonna stay that way until I have anything else to say about it. Now, I've got a list of things I've been meaning to go over with you guys, so listen closely. It's time we get serious now."

Overall idea of the plan is to let Benson decompress slightly and start building some momentum with some of our units. Pumped Up is a easy DC and can help Benson relax and increasing martial in any meaningful way may be useful if we manage to make things work like in DoofQuest in the future, not having the government in our asses is gonna be great, Green Thumb and Wing Kingdom are both actions to look over - picked Thumb for reliable income and not sure how time-critical is Wing Kingdom (interpretation is next failure means it's over), Getting the Band Back Together increased a bunch since last time and we don't have any critical places where we need info, so let's start and see what we fish, Those Wonderful Toys may offer useful artifacts for our units, finding Pam may help Benson relax and cleaning home may also help Nicole on the long run.

I don't want to contact the government until we're sure our Kingdom is secure. While I would love to work with them to help give the Gems the boot, I'd rather not let them do espionage in our territory at the same time.
