--[X] Benson: Look for Pam
--[X] Nicole: Tidy Up The House
On one of your very, very few day-offs, you decided to hit the local gym and see if you could get around to improving your physique. You've been in plenty of brawls and even some wars before, but between all the work meetings and keeping up with local affairs, your physical and mental health started to let itself go dramatically. So one day, you walked into a gym and came back out with a new training regimen established. It took a lot of hard work, sweat, blood, and tears (lots of them) but you finally hit a physique that you never dreamed of having on your bod. Even some of the ladies are beginning to turn their heads your way!
This calls for a celebration. What's one cheat day at Death Kwon Do gonna do to you?
Upon entering the establishment, you were taken aback by how busy the place was and you can make out the tired Sensai, working hard behind the counter taking orders and cooking all on his own. Then his eyes lock with yours and he drops everything.
"BENSON!!"
The rotund forty-something year old man barrels into you, wrapping you up into a bear hug. All around you both, the crowd seems taken aback and in awe of your presence. Which makes sense since you're their president now or whatever.
You go into the back with Sensai, calming the man down and talking with him. Turns out that being close friends (or claiming to be, you sourly point out to the sheepish man) is a boon for business, and ever since Benson's taken over the Kingdom, more and more people have been coming to Death Kwon Do for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
"I've got so much money that I barely have any idea of what to do with it!" he exclaims, laughing.
You can't help but envy the man, telling him so matter of factly.
What you weren't prepared for was Sensai to get a peculiar look on his face and then lean forward with an offer.
"Well… what if we were to go into business together?"
You blink, stupefied.
"Like I said, I got enough money now to live out my retirement in Fiji and well… keeping up with the business is getting hard on me."
"Sensai," you slowly ask him. "What are you saying here?"
The man looks up at you, smiling. "How would you like to be owner of the Death Kwon Do franchise?"
REWARD: +5 increase to Benson's Martial skill.
-10 to Benson's Anger meter, due to improved physical and mental health.
ACTION UNLOCKED: Passing of the Torch
-[X] Diplomacy: Old Wounds (Charlie)
DC 70
Dice Rolled: 11+27+10=48 FAILURE!!
Oh dear, this could've gone better.
It'd been months since you heard anything from Gene's side of the county, so you sent over Charlie to find out what East Pines is up to and hopefully, hopefully, some type of agreement could be brokered between the two rival Parks to focus on the bigger picture.
When you wake up to find Charlie hog-tied and tarred in feathers at the front entrance the next morning, you realize that the worst has come to pass: Gene sees your current state in the Park, and has decided to restart the prank war. Without Muscle Man around, it's going to get hard to manage the Park staying clean while Gene's goons defile the beautiful sanctity of the Park.
In an office in East Pines' park, Gene watches a recording of Benson raging at the news of the prank war starting again and laughs, kicking his feet up on his desk.
COST: -10 to "Green Thumb" rolls, due to East Pines meddling. The Prank War has begun again…
+2 increase to Benson's Anger meter.
[X] Stewardship: King of the Wings (Wilt)
DC 100
Dice Rolled: 39+26+10=75 FAILURE!!
Poor Wilt. The poor guy looked absolutely crushed when he came back to the night you sent him out to work out a better deal with Wing Kingdom, only to be told that he was too late. Turns out that the CEO had enough of Benson's wing madness from the last meeting, and sending out an Imaginary Friend to try piecing together the negotiations only soured his mood. Halfway through the meeting, the CEO just raised his hand to stop Wilt from talking and flat-out told him, "Alright, enough bullshit. You guys have wasted enough of my time and I'm not gonna dicker around with a King hooked on my sauce when I can find others less crazy enough to do so."
Wilt tried one last attempt to continue the negotiations by offering a game of hoops, but the CEO only called security in response. It would seem that the Wing Kingdom franchise is forever lost to you…
COST: Wing Kingdom has closed its door to you. And other Kings will soon be looking to buy it, following news of your failure to secure ownership over it.
+2 increase to Benson's Anger meter.
[X] Intrigue: Getting the Band Back Together (Daphne)
DC 360
Dice Rolled: 43+22+10+10=85 SUCCESS!!
As you brooded in your office over recent actions involving East Pines, it's times like these that you wish for the gang to be behind your back again. Now, don't get yourself wrong, you enjoy your new crew and think each one of them is a capable worker in their own right, but the guys… they were your family.
Lately, you've developed a feeling of malaise as you start to wonder if you'll never see them again. If the last memory you'll have of them is that horrible day in space…
And that's when Daphne burst into the office, out of breath but a proud smile on her face.
"I found something."
To Be Continued in: Trash-Boat, P.I.
[X] Learning: Those Wonderful Toys (Nikolai)
DC 30
Dice Rolled: 36+18+10=64 SUCCESS!!
Nikolai enters your office, grinning widely. Finally, Maellard's scientists (well, yours now) have come in to report that the weapons and vehicles derived from the S.P.A.R.K. Initiative is finally complete. With great bonuses too!
Turns out that extra time spent perfecting the technology has seen a mass production of blasters and space carts, allowing you to freely supply the security forces with them and having enough leftover for your groundskeepers to wield. You can't help but feel that you're almost ready for anything that heads your way, and with Gene restarting the prank war, you feel more prepared to deal with whatever comes your way from his end.
REWARD: S.P.A.R.K. technology is now accessible to you. Your security forces are fully stocked this turn and soon, your army will be ready to receive their own models once they complete their training. +5 in Martial skill for any combat round with your security units (NOT your Hero Units) in the face of an attack and/or battle.
[X] Occult: He's Seen It Before (Okuyasu)
DC Variable
Dice Rolled: 58+31+10=99
CRIT HIT!! Dice explosion=+90=189 EXTREME CRITICAL SUCCESS!!
On one of his day-offs, Okuyasu decided to get off his ass and try cleaning out the garage that he, Charlie, and Wilt live in, getting annoyed by the cluster and wanting to do something about it. So, he cracked his knuckles and set off with The Hand to help out in his cleaning. With his Stand's help, he was able to get things organized by the time Charlie and Wilt came home that evening.
"Aw, you didn't have to do that alone, man," Wilt said, patting Okuyasu on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, I should've offered my help."
"Nah, don't worry about it," Okuyasu said, waving off the Imaginary Friend. "It wasn't that bad. Only thing I had to worry about was the dust in here. Shit had me sneezing like crazy."
"No kidding," Charlie muttered. "Well, if you need some klenexes, I got a box somewhere around here–"
He's cut off when his foot brushes up against a box… which begins to glow, catching the trio's attention.
"Uhh…" Wilt starts to say.
And then the glowing box begins to tremble. Violently.
"What the fu–"
"GET BACK!!" Okuyasu screams, pushing Charlie behind him and bringing out The Hand to face… whatever's in there. Benson warned him that the guy who owned this garage had some weird magic items hidden around here, but didn't give any details as to what.
Well, here goes nothing.
He squares his shoulders and preps The Hand to swipe whatever's inside the box when suddenly… the trembling stops.
He blinks. Did… did he win?
Slowly, the folds of the box opens itself up, and the garage is illuminated in the yellow glow of what floated out of there, levitating itself in front of a dumbfounded Okuyasu.
"Are those… gauntlets?" Charlie asked, gulping.
"Ye-yeah. I think they are," Wilt's lone eye is wide open in shock. "Be careful, it may bite."
Okuyasu does not heed the Imaginary Friend's warning, instead opting to take hold of the fist-shaped gauntlets marveling at their beauty. He had never seen such majestic things before in his life…
Without hesitation, he slips them on, flexing his fingers and wincing at the weight of the gauntlets.
"Well, they're heavy as shit," Okuyasu grunts out. "But I think I can get used to them. Wonder what these things do-"
As he says that, he mimes a punch in the air, which sends a blast of congested wind into the nearby wall, shattering it to pieces.
The trio stare at the hole. And then look back down at the gauntlets.
"Huh. So that's what they do."
REWARD: Okuyasu has cleaned Skips's garage and in the process, has unearthed the legendary Fists of Justice. An ancient weapon created to fight the likes of dark gods.
TRAIT UNLOCKED: Fists of Justice (+20 to Okuyasu's Martial or Occult Skill when he chooses to don the Fists into battle.)
PERSONAL ACTIONS
[X] Benson: Look for Pam
Dice Rolled: 76
Not the first and probably not the last time you'll be saying this, but Nikolai is a godsend. While he was working with the science nerds, he managed to get a tip on the whereabouts of Pam from one of them. Turns out that some of their crew broke ranks after the Park was blasted off into space, wanting to find some new calling after spending months working on shooting a national landmark into outer space.
Pam, as it turns out, went to the nearest King during the early days of the Kingdoms forming that housed a passion for science as much as she did: Mandark.
Oh boy…
REWARD: Pam's whereabouts have been found. She is located in Mandark's Kingdom, but you're not certain where at.
ACTION UNLOCKED: Where Art Thou, Juliet?
[X] Nikolai: Networking
Dice Rolled: 5
5/150
Unfortunately, while helping Maellard's science nerds develop the S.P.A.R.K. Rangers technology for mass-production, Nikolai was not able to put forth the time and effort into establishing a spy network for your Kingdom. However, he did get lucky one night and found some guys who seemed eager for a job working for him.
Granted, their group name didn't leave much to be desired in terms of securing results. But he'd rather have these Amoeba Boys than nothing.
REWARD: Nikolai has… agents(?) working for him now: the Amoeba Boys. It's a start.
[X] Daphne: Check In on the Family
Dice Rolled: 34
Calling home was nerve-wracking for Daphne, but she was relieved to hear her mother pick up and almost sob in relief to hear her youngest baby alive and well. She tried to avoid giving locations where she's at, due to certain parties listening in, no doubt. But she assured her parents that she was alive and okay, and that she'll see them again one day. Her mom begged her to come home, that they were all worried about her after what happened to–
She told her mom that she had things to do. And that she'll come back when she's ready to deal with her past. Until then, just hold on a little longer, their pain will be over soon.
She hung up quickly, right before the tears started to fall.
[X] Okuyasu: Visit Avdol
Dice Rolled: 52
Okuyasu visited Avdol late one night, anxious and wanting to know more about his future, but the fortune-teller refused to give any further information. He got pissed at first, but Avdol calmed him down by offering some tea and a chance to cool things off.
Okuyasu wanted to smack the tea away at first, but the enticing smell caught his attention and he reluctantly sat down. One tea session later, Okuyasu was much calmer and open to discussion with Avdol.
Avdol told him straight: "Your path is… not straightforward. My fortunes are not a guideline for you to go by, and trying to coerce more info out of me through intimidation or brute force won't change what the cards have said about your fate. I do not know where you come from, nor do I know of the pain you must have gone through. You wear your emotions on your sleeves, easy to notice to those with the same keen eyes as I."
The man comes over to place a comforting hand on Okuyasu's shoulder. "Things won't be easy in your search for what it is you're looking for. It is not my responsibility to interfere, nor tell you what to do. That decision lies only with yourself. But allow me to reiterate what I said the last time we met: You, Nijimura Okuyasu, are not alone. Trust in your friends and your path will become clearer."
Okuyasu… bowed his head, hiding the tears from Avdol's gaze. He finished his drink, thanked him for the tea, and went home that night.
REWARD: Okuyasu learns that Avdol is not one to give extra info out so casually, but he does seem open for Okuyasu to visit him again in the future.
[X] Charlie: Nightly Stroll
Dice Rolled: 67
After a shitty week of getting tied up and humiliated by those pricks from East Pine, Charlie decided to blow off some steam one night, leaving without a word and heading out into the City to clear his head. Some time later, he wound up inside a decent-sized bar, ordering shot after shot to drown the pain. Not so much physical, but emotional.
Plus side, he managed to find a drinking buddy to share his woes with.
"This fuckin' place, man," he hiccuped, about a dozen or so shots of tequila in. "Y-Y-You'd a' thunk that a park wouldn't… wouldn't be like a shitty place to work at, but man, i-i-it's bullshit! I got jumped by a vending machine because of some prank war crap that happened a while back, the hell do I have to do with that?!"
"Indeed," the woman with ice-blue eyes murmured, drinking her own glass with more refinement. "But your boss does seem to be a decent man underneath all the press conferences and suits he wears. Compared to others, he's a breath of fresh air."
"Tch, yeah, right," Charlie snorted. "They all start out like that. Promisin' change and equality and all that shit, but then…"
Charlie goes quiet, memories bubbling up unprompted and his pudgy face flushes in dismay.
"Oh hell–"
"Hey, wait!" The woman cries out for Charlie, who dashes through the bar's patrons and pissing many off, but he paid little heed to that. He stumbled out into the night air, letting out the drinks onto the pavement in a grotesque display.
"Ohhh… oh, god," he whimpered, clutching his stomach in pain. His throat burned like acid and his eyesight was blurry. Saliva trickled down his chin… until a hand offered him a tissue next to him.
He takes it without asking, wiping his chin and glancing back. Huh, that same woman followed him out here, her eyes concerned for the homunculus.
"Don't worry, I've been through worse binges than this," Charlie rasps, trying to stand but begins to wobble in place. The woman grabs him by the shoulder, leading him off.
"Hey, lady, where are ya–"
"Save it," she snaps, annoyed. "You're drunk and I'm not letting you walk back to your home in your condition. I'll give you a ride."
"Oh. Thanks, man," Charlie perks up at the blue car that suddenly de-camouflaged in front of them. "...sweet ride."
"Thanks."
Securing Charlie in the passenger seat, the woman got in the car and started it up, the engine revving. "Be warned, the easiest she goes up to is 60 MPH."
"Oh, that's not bad–"
The woman pressed her foot down on the gas gently, and the car rocketed down the street, Charlie's screams echoing every block they traveled down.
…
The next morning, Charlie woke up outside his new apartment, covering in his own saliva and smelling of sweat and piss. Fighting back the hangover with a groan, he raises his hand up to cover the sun, only for a card to slap him in the face.
He looks at it, eyes bleary.
'Whenever you want another drink or someone to check up on your car, give me a call.'
– Karma Eiss, Teku's Motors.
"Huh. Weird name."
REWARD: Charlie gets hammered and ends up meeting someone who brought him home that night: Karma Eiss.
[X] Nicole: Tidy Up The House
Dice Rolled: 33
Work on the House is going to take longer than Nicole expected, quickly finding out that most of the supplies inside are old and outdated. What she's managed to clean up makes the outside look neat, but the inside is another matter.
House cleaned: 33/100
[X] Nicole: Check On Gumball and Darwin
Dice Rolled: 73
Luckily, she had more luck in keeping an eye on her boys, tracking them down to some shed in the Park where they seem to be playing old arcade games. The boys were sheepish, but Nicole had enough sense not to punish them, given that they've been spending most of their days here and not bothering anyone.
She did raise an eyebrow at the machine in the corner of the room labeled off-limits, and told the boys to leave that one alone. Rather than take the chance to make their mom mad, Gumball and Darwin agreed, before coercing Nicole into playing a game of Smasher Blasters with them.
She won by a land mile.
REWARD: Gumball and Darwin's whereabouts are discovered! A shed that houses old arcade video games. She allows them to stay there during the day to hang out, but warns them to stay away from any of the broken games, which they agree to.
[X] Nicole: Girl's Night
Dice Rolled: 73
Daphne proves to not just be a good roommate, but an even better friend too. What the girls talk about are kept only to themselves, shared over drinks and dinner, and the tears that came from both of them when they brought up things from their past.
What is said between friends will stay between them until future events…
REWARD: Nicole and Daphne become good friends, and learn of things from their past. They realize that they're not too dissimilar from each other.
Malus on An Amazing World lowered by 10 points.
[X] Wilt: Hang Out with a Coworker.
Dice Rolled: 62
Being considered the new face of the crew, Wilt decided that it'd be nice to hang out with a coworker one day and see what happens from there. Granted, his idea of hanging out was playing a game of hoops with them, but shockingly, Daphne seemed up for the idea.
He still couldn't figure out how that girl managed to score a three-pointer with her eyes closed, but he didn't care. He had fun and hopes to enjoy having more enjoyable moments with his new friends in the future. And Daphne herself seems to enjoy being around Wilt's company, reminded of someone she once knew.
REWARD: Wilt becomes friends with Daphne! They have a nice game of basketball, which Daphne absolutely destroys Wilt in. LOCAL ACTION: 19
Reports of criminal activity occurring near the borders of the Kingdom and La Obscura Encordada are becoming more commonplace by the day. It would seem that Don Kee is finding ways to smuggle contraband and other black market goods past your border and into his operations, trying to compensate for the grievous losses he sustained from Nicole in the past several months.
The ex-despot laughs at himself silly in the gold-tinted tower of his private fortress, while Ledgic quietly keeps vigilant outside. He has heard of the one called Benson and wonders if he's a good fighter as he is an effective leader.
Perhaps one day, Don Kee will allow him to test out that theory personally.
O o f. Losing the "King of Wings" is a great deviation from original BensonQuest, but it was to be expected.
Other than that, Nice rolls. Even if some of them are sad (or Failures), at least we didn't lose too much.
And hey! We're starting to "expand" outside our Kingdom , so not all bad.
I don't think that's an option we can take at the moment.
Or at all, since someone else is going to buy the franchise.
If anything, I hope that Mandark buys it, so that we have a reason to attack HIM (once our army has grown stronger) and steal most of his Land and Stuff.
Well, that was expected because we did put Benson the first time on the wing kingdom action so no surprise losing it
I'm surprised the boys found the shed that brought out the giant video game devil from the first episode I thought it got totally destroyed we definitely need to investigate to see we can try to remake that big video game guy who defeated that game devil.
Also Skips's gauntlets are going to come extremely handy if we ever fight gods or any evil being because to be totally honest, there's probably lots of gods and eldrtich monsters
No surprised with Gene starting the prank war looks like this is a job for Nicole or Nikolai
Also Qm can we put multiple heroes on one action or we can't I'm just curious.
Honestly, it was a bad situation all-around. Maybe it was my fault by misjudging how Benson's perk would affect the negotiations, but it was worth a shot anyways. Wing Kingdom will still be ours, however.
Or maybe we buy another Wings place. There's that too.
The Park was on fire and in risk of going down with every passing second.
You can remember barking out orders to people, giving them tasks to keep the dome from losing power while maneuvering it to avoid the lasers that had come out of nowhere. It had been a long, hard, and frankly confusing journey from space back to Earth, everyone's mind whirling with the loss of Pops and the strange way that their journey had ended.
They should've known better that coming back to Earth wouldn't be so easy. Nothing for them has ever been that regular.
"Where the heck are these lasers coming from?!" Mordecai called out over the commlink, each of the crew focused on their own duty; Eileen was fixing the left-bottom engine unit, while Mordecai and Rigby boarded their strange (former) time-travel ships to draw attention from the lasers. The rest were in a Space Cart, trying to patch holes in the glass dome around the Park.
"Somebody call NASA and tell them to buzz off!" Muscle Man cried. "We're not aliens, bro, we're friendlies! Earth-bound!"
"Well, some of us do look a little weird, so it's no wonder," Hi-Five Ghost commented, shining a light down on Muscle Man to help him focus on patching his hole.
"But they should've been able to identify us from their position," Eileen said nervously, fixated on the engines. "There's only one park that went up in space in the past year, so the odds of them misinterpreting our intentions are-"
"Never tell me the odds!" Rigby exclaimed. "'Cause I'll probably freak out with that big number inside your head, Eileen."
Eileen's grumble can be heard over the radio.
"It doesn't matter," Skips barked out. "All that matters is fixing the park dome and getting us back on-- ARRGH!!"
"SKIPS!"
You weren't sure who screamed his name, but you can remember seeing a video feed of Skips's cart going down, the backside in flames. Horror is all you feel at that moment, watching strange ships suddenly appear out of the darkness of space, unrelenting and merciless.
Muscle Man and Fives went down next, the pair refusing to be separated in the chaos. Muscle Man's strange cry echoes in your feed, as their cart spirals out of control and disappear into orbit.
Eileen managed to fix the engines in time, but one of those enemy ships went for a strafing run on her position. She went down, Rigby crying out her name more fearful than you'd ever heard it sound like.
"MORDECAI, RIGBY, GET BACK INSIDE THE DOME NOW!!" you scream into the microphone, voice cracking. "WE CAN'T STAY HERE ANY LONGER, WE HAVE TO GO!"
"I'M NOT LEAVING EILEEN OUT THERE!" Rigby screamed, piloting like mad through waves of enemy ships.
"DUDE, WE'LL FIND HER LATER, BUT YOU CAN'T HELP HER IF YOU'RE DEAD!!" Mordecai tried convincing Rigby, but the racoon, overcome with emotion, couldn't help but scream back.
"YOU'D DO THE SAME IF IT WERE MARAGRET, SO SHUT YOUR MOUTH FOR ONCE, MORDECAI!!"
Whatever Mordecai had to say went up in flames along with his ship. You watch in horror as his ship slowly descended down into the atmosphere, worse than any of the others that had been shot down.
"MORDECAI!!" You and Rigby scream.
And then... and then--
You were alone.
That's all you can remember, for you had been so focused on landing the Park dome yourself and Rigby ignoring your orders that you had to land. He'll come back to you eventually, all of them will. They... they just need a little while to find their way back.
But they never came back. None of them did.
Your crew, your friends... your family was gone. Forever.
Until now. You stare at Daphne for a long time, face blank and mind the equivalent of white noise. Your hands tremble slightly, setting aside your 'World's #1 Boss' mug and ignoring the spills from it hitting your papers on the desk. Right now, some tedious paperwork didn't matter in the slightest compared to what Daphne just said.
"You... you what?" you croak out, voice hoarse with emotion.
Beaming, Daphne walks over to your desk and pulls out a laptop, colorful and bright like the van she drives around. You don't take notice of the strange 'S.D.' initials on some sticker in the corner before she's opening up her cover and typing on some buttons.
"I've been looking around all of North America for some kind of clue to where your old crew might've been. I checked old hang-outs of theirs, tried to find old friends, which is a lot harder to do now," she adds with a grumble, still typing. "Looked for descriptions matching theirs and even tried searching up their names as a last-ditch effort. Nobody would think to use their real one in a place belonging to Mandy or Father."
She turns to you, with a tender look in her eyes as she softly says, "But then I looked for old names from your crew. And I know that two of yours had theirs changed; one I couldn't find, but the other?"
She shows you the laptop, which has on its screen a simple ad of a magnifying glass and someone in a silhouetted photo. Someone short with a tail.
You notice the name on the ad.
"TRASH BOAT, Private Investigator."
Trash Boat.
Of all things... goddamned Trash Boat.
Rigby.
You laugh, a strangled warble in your throat as you hold your hand up to your face. Tears stream down that hand as you laugh hysterically, sobs hiccupping in your voice. Daphne is rubbing soothing circles on your back.
"Where?" you stammer. "Where... is he?"
Daphne's face darkened and she scrolled down, showing you the address.
Or rather, the Kingdom he's stuck in: Nowhere.
Katz.
You've read the reports of the mysterious cat man that rules most of the Midwest and feel a chill go down your spine. However RIgby's done it, he's managed to avoid being caught by a psychopathic feline that enjoys profiting off of the land while the people suffer.
"We have to get him out of there," you say, determination filling your gut.
Daphne frowned. "Benson-"
"No!" you exclaim, clenching your fists. "I'm not leaving him trapped in that place to get captured or... or..."
You shudder at the implications, having thought about them enough this past year.
"We're going to get him."
"And we will," Daphne tells you, a stoic look in her eyes. "But we need to have a plan first. Figure things out, plot ways to get in and out without being caught by Katz, and being ready for things incase they go bad."
"I'll set the whole damn Kingdom on fire if it takes getting him out of there," you snarl. "What about the others? Mordecai, Skips, Muscle Man and Fives, Eileen?"
Daphne somberly shakes her head and you yell, punching a hole in the wall behind you. Daphne takes a few steps back in fear, letting you pant heavily to yourself for a few minutes to regain your bearings.
But when you do...
"I'm getting him out of there," you quietly vow, tears in your eyes. "I won't let my friends down again." REWARD: Rigby has been discovered living in Nowhere under the alias 'Trash Boat', a private detective for the people in Kansas. You're gonna have to go through a lot of strange people and monsters in order to save him...
QUEST UNLOCKED: Creepy Things Happen in Nowhere...
Oh boy a mission into Kansas to save our boy. Don't worry rigby we are coming. I mean frankly like, Nicole, Okuyasu, and Nikolai are a team that could really go places, Okuyasu with the gloves hits at an Occult of 51. Seriously that man is an absolute combat monster. Guess that's what you get when you combine an already strong anime character with one of the most powerful divine level artifacts in regular show
Well, that was expected because we did put Benson the first time on the wing kingdom action so no surprise losing it
I'm surprised the boys found the shed that brought out the giant video game devil from the first episode I thought it got totally destroyed we definitely need to investigate to see we can try to remake that big video game guy who defeated that game devil.
As to your question at the bottom, you can... buuuuuut, you can only take one person from the Park out with you on an Action or Quest rn. Your crew roster's not fully stacked yet, and taking one away leaves for things to happen (basically in-universe BS to make your game tougher, lol.)
But once your roster IS stacked with all six units, then you can assign up to two Hero Units on one action. Even with Benson on an action, you can still have two helpers with a full roster.
However... there are other Hero Units in the area. You don't have to hire them on as a worker for the Park, buuuuut it's something to consider. They'll be more or less confidants to help you out in other areas across the City and/or Kingdom, while your Park crew do other stuff. Next Turn, I'll have a list of heroes around available for 'recruitment', but it's gonna take a lot of DC to get them coming your way.
