So Eddy isn't one of the kings here or Scamco.
Oh Ronin.. that's not good..
Something sinister.

To Be Continued in Interlude: Hope? ...ha. Ha.
Any bets...
Curses! How could this have happened?! He was so close, SO CLOSE, to finding that infernal girl that slipped past his fingers yet again. He's already lost sight of the other one, now this?! Something was happening and he had to put a stop to it before his destiny is denied from him AGAIN!
Okay we should keep an eye on this one.
noticing a report of some new King attempting to purchase some fast-food restaurant chain, one that extends into his own territory.

Eyes narrowed, the overlord prepares for retaliation when a member of his Think Tank pings his personal phone.
Yeah probably should hold on the wings for now..
Is Eddie actually going to help us here
Well without ScamCo apparently.

I don't wanna point this out, but there is one person who is a violent psychopath who believes he should kill the Batman after all. People need to laugh a little.

Basically, I think the interlude is joker and he's probably pissed at what Hugo did to his batsy

Eddie is going to be interesting. I'm the one hand we'll figure out what happened to the rest of the Ed's on the other hand, he's going to bring the kanker sister wrath on us
Whelp it looks like Nicole is going to be taking out some trailer Park trash

Yeah, might as well get that out of here since the cat's out of the bag.

ScamCo is not an entity in this version of CN: VV. Was always iffy on it to begin with (no offense to the creators, as their world is well-thought out and epic) and believed the Kankers having their own slice of the pie wherever they're placed was more fitting than Eddy. At worst, I always figured Eddy would turn into a Saul Goodman-esque character; using a legitimate career as a front for criminal scams and what not.

Ed, though? Who knows... we know where Double D and Eddy are, but where might he be? :D

Probably going to be the Joker, which means everyone is in for a bad time soon.
Basically, I think the interlude is joker and he's probably pissed at what Hugo did to his batsY
And he's supposed to be hope..
Eddy's coming.....NO ONE TELL THE KRANKER SISTERS!!!
Well hopefully they won't have any good spies to gather info for them.
Ed, though? Who knows... we know where Double D and Eddy are, but where might he be? :D
Knowing him probably involves monsters or him trying to be one.
We must recruit Eddie as our lawyer he would scam his way to success
Is that a good idea though?

Well i have some theories around DIU not happening

Theres is the chance that the fight of Emporio and Pucci ended differently, and so Pucci could have done some modifications while using his stand

The other explanation is that the antagonist of part 8, could have removed certains elements of Morioh, so Okuyasu could have not meet josuke.

Theres is also the fact that [Rolling Stones] is still killing people in the background and with things as crazy as they are here, i wouldn't be surprised if it is in a killing spree, stoping disasters before they happen.

Or well Kira rewind way back before the events of Diamond is Unbreakable and could have change things on his favor.

And finally there is a slight chance that we got the Kira of part 8.... He is probably just bullying, beating and maybe kiling surfers around SO that is not our problem now LOL

So I can't really comment on most things in the report, but that shade of green in Arkham City? I'm putting my money on someone getting dipped in a Lazarus Pit. They're very associated with the color green and depending on exact continuity there is sometimes a semi-active pit somewhere within/around Gotham.

Probably not a good thing if so; even good people who get dropped in there don't come out the same. And there's not a lot of good people around Arkham.

Wait, there was a Pit under the Monarch Teather. In the Base Game, it got destroyed and Joker died because of dusease. Here, though...

Am I the only one who thinks that Charlie will take a liking to Darwin because he reminds him of Pim, and He, Darwin and Wilt will form a sort of Smilling Friends 2.0 working to make the citizens' situations better

It would be SO hilarious if Joker became a good(-ish?) Guy out of pure spite for Hugo killing Batman and deciding to ruin the "good" Doctor's day in turn.

The Ultimate Joke.

Turn 1 Rival Report -- Part 2
ALIEN RIVALS
Great Diamond Authority
Jasper - 50
Peridot - 4
??? - 56
??? - 40

From the great Northern reaches of Canada, reports of the Gem invaders making a push inward onto U.S. Soil has been... interesting, to say the least for the invaders. Under the command of Supreme Commander Jasper and Head Scientist Peridot, the two divided their army in a two-pronged assault on the western and eastern coasts of the United States, with Jasper leading the western campaign and Peridot on the eastern front.

Jasper's campaign led her into the H.I.V.E. Kingdom, where she was met with a US-joint operation with Slade's Deathstroke bots and members of his meta-human army in a fierce clash in the state of Washington. This would go on for three weeks before Jasper pulled her troops back behind the border lines, having spilled enough human blood to satisfy her hatred for now.

Peridot's, on the other hand, was a catastrophic FAILURE. From the moment she laid eyes on Maine, she found herself besieged by strange Kaiju monsters from the kingdom of Paradigm City, along with reports of an assassination attempt on her life. The gem barely managed to escape, thankfully, but appeared greatly damaged in the process. Peridot's forces have withdrawn completely from their eastern front, allowing a sigh of relief to escape those living up the New England territories.

The mysterious assassin behind the attempt is said to be the "Warrior Knight" that serves an off-sect group of Gem warriors, whose leader has been noted entering the area and shattering her fellow Gem-kind with a strange weapon fastened to her wrist. U.S. troops attempted to contain them for questioning, but they managed to flee the battlefield not long after.

Drone Realm
Gelorum - 82
??? - 91
??? - 74

When she heard of the Mutraddi horde invading from the east, Gelorum dispatched her second lieutenant, Mark Wylde, to personally crush the barbaric creatures from infringing on her territory. With sadistic glee, the Drone-Human warrior repelled the Mutraddi horde attempting to oppose Gelorum's rule, actually fighting off their leader, Lieutenant General Lance, in a fight between an alien mecha-suit and a cosmic-enhanced race car. Whatever their purpose for being here, the Mutraddi had no choice but to draw themselves back to their land, their leader refusing to budge from the lines that seperate their two states.

Meanwhile, while Gelorum's forces were busy fending off the Mutraddi, reports of strange vehicles in white-and-purple colors have been reported going in and out of Gelorum's major factories, disappearing without a trace. Gelorum is annoyed by these reports and is doubling down on patrol sentries inside her factories. She knows that this group is adept at sabotage without being seen...

And in the middle of this war, a chance encounter has occurred.

Wastelands of Mutradd
Lance -- 70
??? -- 78

He was close, he could feel it.

With a grim smile hidden by the Magnus armor, Lieutenant-General Lance led his personal detachment of Magnuses and two legions worth of Mutraddi beasts into the kingdom of the Drones, those savage and unfeeling machines that relied on toys to bolster their army's strength. They knew nothing of the true meaning of power, of conquest and possessing the will to dominate over one's opponents. How can machines feel anything else but cold, unfeeling logic?

It was this arrogance that propelled Lance into leading his troops into the Drone Realm, unheeding of his advisor's warning of the enemy's numbers. He was confident enough that whatever those pitiful machines threw his way, he could smash through it easily.

That was, until he reached the city of Saint Paul and was met with a force of 100,000 Drone racers standing between him and his mission. At the forefront of this army was a modified human vehicle, bathed in the colors of the Drones they commanded, but with their own touch on it.

Lance scowled in annoyance. Those fools, they had no idea who they were messing with here! His advisor urged caution, to pull the troops back and plot another route to find their target and avoid taking casualties.

And that's when a voice, a man's voice, blared from out of that front car.

"WILL THE OWNER OF SUCH A PIECE OF SHIT ARMY STEP OUT BEHIND HIS MONSTERS SO THAT WE CAN SHOW HIM WHAT A REAL ARMY LOOKS LIKE! OR ARE YOU GONNA RUN BACK HOME TO YOUR PLANET WITH YOUR BALLS IN A TWIST?!"

...

"Lance to all troops," Lance seethed, a red mist clouding his vision. "On my mark: KILL."

The battle was quick but bloody, and it didn't take long for Lance to realize he'd been baited into a fight by the strange human-Drone racer whose car displayed abilities unheard of to the young commander. And when he realized that their target must be long gone by now, he roared out to his army to pull back. There will be another time.

Lance brooded on his return back to the Wastelands, no doubt preparing for the reprimands that General Modula would impose upon him for this tactical blunder.

And worse of all... the Princess had once again eluded further away from his grasp.

OTHER RIVALS

Elmore
84

All seems normal for the strange slice of land that Elmore has claimed for itself, tricking and seducing many unfortunate wanderers into its land with bright, colorful images and bombastic noises that overrode all sense of coherent thought inside their minds. For now, this strange land is peaceful (of a sorts).

Old World
27
The settlements set up all across western Oregon came under siege from Gem invaders from the North, resulting in many of these areas being overrun and destroyed by the alien invaders. While Jerry and his band of raiders rushed to repel the invaders, they were too late, finding only the ruins of settlements and many people from these lands missing. More concerning were reported sightings of Gem warriors collecting samples of the Infected that roamed the lands, making Jerry worry about what the aliens could be doing.

Dethgov
20

Sales for Dethklok concerts are damningly low, pissing off Nathan Explosion, who decides to take out his anger by wrestling an alligator bare-handed. Let's just say that one person walked out of that pit alive, while the one was made into a new pair of leather boots for the victor.

Paradigm City
59

The Gem invasion into their land caught Alex Rosewater off-guard, but not for long. Managing his forces, he coordinated a strike that saw the Gems wander into a den of Kaiju beasts, which took care of most of the invaders before his army swept in to clean up the remaining forces. Satisfied with the enemy's retreat, Rosewater is content to hear the cheers of his people for his stead-forwardness in defeating the alien invaders.

Langley Falls
55

Not much has changed for the people of Langley Falls, who are tormented by the daily cruelties of Ricky Spanish. The sociopathic ruler spends most of his days partying across the metropolitan area in a drug-fueled binge that leaves death and destruction wherever he goes. No one dares stands in his way.

NATIONAL ACTION
61

The Gem invasion on the west and east coasts took the U.S. government by surprise, but not as surprising as when Slade and Alex Rosewater reached out and offered to let their forces collaborate in a joint military operation to repel the invaders. Those behind the scenes are skeptical as to the reason behind these decisions, but are forced to roll with it in fear of another alien presence on U.S. soil.

CADMUS's goal has not changed from the day it destroyed the Justice League: protect America, at all cost.

Poor Jerry with that low roll.

Part of me would like us to get involved with the Gem war, preferably without having to deal with the U.S. (at least not until we can assure we'd be safe from whatever crap they'd try to pull on us, looking at you Waller and Stan). Though we don't even have an army yet, so that's still somewhat distant as possible actions are.

Hm this is a fun update, a lot of what seem to be heroes managing to out roll their villains. Also lmao Cadmus. "We destroyed the justice league", American immediately plunges into complete anarchy. "No we didn't do anything wrong let's keep doing what we are doing"

Well, now we know the major players and how the government are doing and the heroes as well.
when turn two pops out, I want to do the adventure because I think that would be really good to do

I'm also curious to see what wilt sheet looks like and where do we place him.
Along with the trait, Okayasu has gotten.

Just a reminder, the adventure will probably involve us fighting a character from Dragon Ball.

Let that sync in for a moment.

I checked don kee wiki He doesn't have any powers at all basically he just only has a bodyguard and we just captured his two commissioners so he probably just has goons left along with his bodyguard

But his bodyguard seems to be more of the problem so basically when we beat that guy don kee will fold like a wet paper towel

The Adventures of Lotton, Part 1
The Adventures of Lotton, Part 1: To Arkham

Three Weeks Earlier…

Sit and listen, it's such a simple thing to do, yet made infinitely harder given the noise of Roanapur, to do so required a clear head and a moment of calm.

Both of which are almost impossible to get in this city.

But find the right place and you'll be able to hear almost anything…

Of course, there's the matter of when you get caught and the opportunity that comes when you listen and pay attention.

---------------------

The searing pain in your head and abdomen brought you back as you felt the thud and crack of the box you were in shatter making you tumble into the road. Thinking quickly you rolled and fell into a heap that allowed you to run.

"ANOTHER DAMN SMUGGLER!" The TYGER guard shouted as he shot at you with a barrage of 5.56, it was a natural reaction to seeing you…you always had that effect on people.

"Not again…and I thought New York was bad." You mumbled as you allowed yourself to weave into an alleyway to catch your breath.

The ringing of a satellite phone lets you get your head back into reality. "Despite my best efforts, I'm in."

Balalika sounded surprised to hear such a thing. "Well that is a surprise to be sure, and here I thought that I was going to use that HIVE contract to pick it off your corpse…remind me again why I seemingly allowed you to take the Job?"

Oh she knew damn well that you had your reasons and qualifications. "Uh, I don't have a criminal record in the United States and have a still valid passport, witch made falsifying a record to allow us to charter a boat to get close to Gotham and get into a TYGER truck easier? Compared to your men, who stick out like a sore thumb?"

YOU KNEW having a backup plan in case Roanapur didn't work out was going to be your best bet in terms of preparation…you felt smart having that, it allowed you to…indulge and be yourself.

"No…I distinctly recall you saying I'm an expendable pice of shit I wouldn't miss." She said as you groaned.

"But you were cheap, so it all evened out. What your carrying is an open asset that will assist anyone of these "Kings" who can pay for it…we've already got at least three buyers lined up to retrieve it once I've opened the sale and your job is to move it to the buyers contact in the city once they meet my price." She said.

"And how long will that take?" You said. "I can't exactly lug this thing around forever."

The briefcase was on a chain around your hand, titanium, very expensive and hard to get off, the case…military. The key to it was on your neck.

"It will take as long as it needs to Lotton, remember if you lose it…" She was smiling on the other end, you could tell.

A small red and blue flash started to motion under your shirt and the medical scar, it was some kind of bomb that she got from an old KGB contact the type that keeps trained weapons and contacts in line, modified with all the wonders of Lex Corp Technology to be reliable to a detonator, even on the other side of the planet.

"Well I don't need to clean up after you anymore now do I?" She said.

"Crystal…so when do you open the sale?" You said.

"Soon, now find somewhere to hunker down if you can…and don't try to sell it off before the deal opens…that case has a proximity detonator, that will only turn off once the sale opens, tata." She finished

Okay…maybe you bit off more than you could chew.

But such is life.

Intrigue Check: Find a place to Hunker down.
DC:40/60/80
Rolled: D100 + 8 => 88

Hmm, Higher Ground, the Apartments should do nicely...or at least slow them down enough to make a getaway.
"Good plan." You said to yourself.

Stewardship Skill: D20 => 10+1=11 (He's actually great with money and can manage a basic budget)

Intrigue Skill: D20 => 5+1+2=8 (Lotton's a Fool, but a Fool is itself the one who fools)

Learning Skill: D20 => 11+1=12 (Lotton graduated Highschool witch isn't saying much)

Occult Skill: D20 => 9+1=10 (Lotton despite appearances, is VERY superstitious)

TRAITS

"LOTTON THE WIZARD, HERO OF Roanapu-": Lotton is one of the rare and weirdest sort of Characters to survive Roanapur intact with a degree of sanity and (Most of) his marbles intact, while thinking he is a Shonen Anime Hero...yeah he's a complete idiot. (+1 to all stats if only because he's avoided dying, he gains +10 to all rolls related to mercenary work, and loses said bonus if he fails to pass a DC of 50 for a common sense roll)

"Bounty Hunter, A Cowboy you could say...": Lotton is despite appearances, a Fully Licensed and Trained Bounty Hunter in the United States, with all background qualifications and training required to operate as a Bail Bonds Agent, in Roanapur, which means he's slightly smarter and trained then the average fodder. (+2 Martial and Intrigue, +5 to all rolls related to an investigation and following a paper trail, +3 to all rolls related to using a gun.)

"I HAVE PLOT ARMOR!!"- Its actual armor, from bulletproof vests, to groin cups to arm guards and armored (But styling) fingerless gloves this man knows he works around people that can actually kill him and plans accordingly.
