@veekie Is their a reason to not having a child with Saiga?
If you want to raise it with us having it be half-mortal would be problem since it can't breathe underwater. But if its a full spirit child than it should survive living with us especially since both parents have a Sea Aspect it can inherit.

Also, is that map's scale correct? As it is, both villages should be touching, they are at most a 5 minute walk away from each other.
Mostly. Best to view the marked areas on the map as being roughly the edges of the respective villages, and it's honestly still somewhat close (should be twice as far apart, but I wanted to wait to keep bugging Siv until after I did Gaerig's halpful map). The gray area between them is an especially dangerous and difficult area of terrain, also, and is basically impassable except for expert survivalists.
 
rex the biggest reason to not having a child with Saiga is that we don't have the population to support many more spirits atm as they would compete for DE and influence
 
I am asking about it because this will be our First-Born and I want it to be the best it can be. And for that Saiga is best choice for father.

We did a whole bunch of stuff and got more stuff but I don't care because Monsters! Bought Avatar 3, and now we can start Gaerig's horde of children! Preferably Monsters, though demispirits are an acceptable consolation prize.

Gaerig joined her (first) pantheon, which had 4 members: Saiga, Attrouska, and two others. We know Saiga's domain: the hunt on both land and sea, and perhaps crafting. We now have another hint of Attrouska's domain: as The Keeper of Secrets, she undoubtedly has the Mysticism lines of Leadership skills. We don't know whether if she has Astrology or Omen Reading, or both, though. [The Giver] is another metaphor-laden hint and doesn't say what the spirit gives. I'd guess it's another spirit that blesses for food security and plenty, though. [The Imprisoned One] is very strange, as the title doesn't hint to what its worshipers ask it for; the hint to its thoughts indicates its original domain was stripped from it (destroyed and rendered meaningless, maybe we can gain a hint if we find what behaviors are banned by Attrouska?) and its new faith further warps it away from what it was. Further, we know Attrouska deliberately did this, so the spirit had to have been considerably powerful enough that Attrouska couldn't flat-out kill it even after she had crippled it to fundamentally change its nature. If we want to topple Attrouska, maybe we can use this spirit...?

He acts funny, gibbering strange things on occasion and telling people the successes they may meet in love and life. Maybe you will do it again sometime, considering it was somewhat effective when the others you'd blessed translated for him.
A hint for how Gaerig can shape society: if we Inspire for Astrology, either we also Bless for Astrology or we advance our village's era to the point a dedicated astrologer class can interpret for the non-blessed. Otherwise, the inspired just end up as mad oracles at the edge of society shunned for being nigh-incomprehensible.

Monsters! I'm so happy we finally got the option to make some monsters! Tempted to just spend the maximum amount of Sustenance and an Avatar rank to get the biggest monster, but I know that's not prudent. Can we just spend max Sustenance for a normal beast, though? Or like, 12 Sustenance, which we can regain with the Ambrosia we have. We don't have any other use for it. (And then we can make more monsters every turn!)

I also want to Explore to see if we get another quest, or to find new and interesting animals or people! So, if a plan has Explore and Monsters, it'll have my vote.
ETA: Apparently that'll be ninjafish's plan.

Even if a child is born with tentacles with mouths on them filled with shark fangs and is faceless I would love them. The sad thing is we aren't going to be creating monster child as Firstborn since we don't have traits for it so I want the best father we can get for it to be the best it can be.

Also I want Gaerig to raise the child and since she spends alot of time underwater were a
half-mortal child would die I want Saiga as father so we can raise it full time.

Attrouska was definitely [Constellation Heart]. Someone to be extremely wary of, especially with that title (Edit: The Keeper of Secrets). [The Giver] we know nothing about. [The Imprisoned One], on the other hand... poor son-of-a-bitch. Potential leverage there, depending upon what his original traits were.

I am okay with this uphill battle. Bother about the walls, but what can you do, neh?

Demi-human race? Wait, maybe after we pick up some of the more amusing animal aspects - just need to explore the deeps more. No Ur-Beast just yet, not enough Avatar. Now is a decent time for an Ur-Child, though not a great one (I doubt there will ever be a great time for one)(Maybe when our undersea kingdom of merfolk has been established, complete with odd new species to use as mounts, guards, and 'beasts of burden' [Gonna look through my old Magic Cards for inspiration]).

Aspect of the Fish to start that, then drop it. Can't do it now, though; more's the pity.

Interesting... Going to be slightly difficult to fit all of these in, but interesting...

Blood Moon is the one during a Lunar Eclipse (Madness/insanity/prophetic effects?); Harvest is the Orange(?) one during Fall and signifies that it's time to gather resources for Winter (resource gain?); Blue is when the full moon shines twice in a single month (Double up on another Moonlight effect?); Silver Moon is probably parallel to Golden Sun (I forget what that one did); and I have no idea for Yellow. Anybody?

Anywho, that's a total of 6 traits right there.

Made more expensive because of AA - Moon, along with Rain, Waves, and Wind. Stars and Frost are unchanged for some reason.

If we have a kid with Saiga, it's gonna be a Spirit. Don't want another one of those just yet, I don't think two tiny villages can support it.

Edit: And since it'd be a Spirit, it wouldn't have a childhood.

@Powerofmind When we hit max traits do they disappear from the buy chart?
If they don't, what happens?
Traits don't disappear from the buy chart, but they do get a much smaller piece of the pie by comparison (they go down to having roughly 40-30% of the numbers from 60+). If you let yourself pick up 5/4 traits, you will explode into a cloud of energy. When I said Harzivan would explode if the rules suddenly changed, I was speaking literally.
 
Siring an Ur-Child is a major expense and gamble. If the child doesn't survive to acquire the amount of legend committed, you lose the legend you spent to make it. If it does last that long, however, you get the legend you spent back, with 75% interest (rounded up)!
So we don't get bonus legend if the child manages to earn more legend than we invested?
