Another argument in favor of the wood delivery is that it may help us foster a better relationship with the Piper, the spirit presiding over the Cathedral. They could be more grateful if the wood helps seal off the underground access or improves the site natural music affinity.
Right now we have a dark-cold sacrifice wood and the Distilled Moonsilver Bars. We would only need a core of something wind-music-dream aligned and we would be set with the principal components of our new flute.
The Piper's vessel fits that to a t. They could offer a bit of it to us if we impress them enough while completing the Cathedral of Winds' quest/development.

Do the Cloud Tribes have any prominent spirit lineages, horse or Qilin or avian or some other flying creature? I would think their path to power, their soul bonding of man and beast, would lead to such. Or is it the lineages of the mounts that benefit from the human half of the soul, that they gain in mutability, so common to humans, that beasts tend to lack?

Except that's a convergent development among most duchies we know about..... Though, I do admit I'm fuzzy on the timeline (it don't come up often)
