Gan desperately needs more screen time, and doubly so more quiet and private moments like this. Mostly because you're not going to get a lot of new beats while he's being public Gan.

As appealing as the second option looks, it seems prudent to take every opportunity to inject life into Renxiang all the way till she sorts out her Liming and artificial human issues. Especially with no Meizhen around to pitch in over tea while Qi is busy with stuff.

Weighing of the characters aside, the respective location alone just sounds way more interesting for this scene. Shrine of The Tree and Xiangmen lore, versus shopping.

I'm going to need at least $5million for shooting these 5 seconds on 35mm film, multiple tightly choreographed exposures of overlapping foreground actors against a festival set packed with highly coordinated and ornately dressed extras, with richly layered vocal editing over the din of the festival itself, plus makeup and color correction and subtle practical and digital vfx... make that $5.5million

Out of the two, I would be satisfied with a sentence or two summarizing Hanyi and CRX together. There are important topics they could cover, but I can imagine how it would go on my own.
We have been deprived of GG interactions for a YEAR and I want to know our right hand better... and tease him about Su Ling. Maybe a little friendly death threat just in case. He seems like he'd have a surprisingly straightforward insight on romantic feeling for us to chew on.

We have so much in common with Hanyi already so I feel it would be a waste to squander a rare opportunity to help our precious Turtleson gain insights. Dress shopping would be great time as well but I think this option has more meaning to our family.
