I understand why our adventures with Su Ling are always so costly. It's not our luck that's making them so painful, it's Su Ling's Bloody pursuit of Justice that's making it painful! Holy Heck! How often have we gone on these adventures and Su Ling has been willing to bear the cost? Cursed by plague, drawing attention to herself with her divination, trapped in a liminal space with a Nightmare and some actual foxes, now it's either Abandon the Sacrifices or Try to be Better and Pay. Bloody is the worst aunt to have lmfao what the heck?!

Really. All we're doing is adding our Talent to the pool to make these adventures EXTRA potent. And wowow what a reveal about the Present Situation.

It's easy for those that are big and strong to swear off the fox-blood, but the weak reach for power and are sacrificed. These fathers die and their children are "blessed", but the villagers reject such "blessings" nowadays and re-enact the betrayal and Sacrifice which only fuels the spirit further. Hot Damn. It utilizes Imperial Bigotry and Callousness to grow in the shadows of civilization. What a beast. Yowza.

You know how Moon Sempai was using his bound spirit to "replace" his arm after he lost it? Those shifting meridians . . .
I have a feeling I know how Su Ling will be able to continue if mauled. I don't believe she'll like it, but I also think she'll pay the cost. How about instead we just roll high, hmm? Like with Yu Nuan! Come on sister, won't you spare some dice??

. . .

anyway haha, yeah this ghost will totally survive as a lil sibling for Su Ling. Haha. No suffering on a Bloody Moon adventure. Nope

...Honestly, if this is gonna be a pattern at least it's a good one IMO.

I am sorry but it is a heist coupled with a potential new disfunctional member to the coterie and furthermore we can stick one up the foxes ass? What else can i vote for

Sorry, not sorry Su Ling, but if you keep signing up for Ling Qi Adventures, you're contractually obligated to get another spirit companion* out of them at some point. I don't make the rules.

*Speaking of, I wonder where justice bat is during this whole event. They're really missing out.

It occurs to me that stealing the sacrifices is likely to weaken the fox in the real world.

Would you mind elaborating on the costs you think Su Ling might pay if this goes wrong?

sees the vote

Really Yrs, we all know what's gonna win

[X] Run Immediately, flee before the monster Su Ling calls mother is fully roused (100% success. Base rewards for action)

This is the best kind of heist. The heist in which the child is stolen and adopted.

I wonder if the big fox mama will have a decreased initial bond with Ling Qi once we meet her again, because of this~
But yes, I am in favor of taking the child.
For one, we save someone innocent.
Two, if there is a delay, we get to see fox mama. Meeting this hungry spirit is something I don't want to miss because we left early, even if there is risk of injury.
Third, if Su Ling will be coming to kill her anyways, letting her eat the Lost One will only make her bigger.

So, for me this choice is "Do you escape safely, but let her eat and become stronger? (Harder boss-fight later on). Or, Do you confront her now and take a risk so that next time we encounter, she hasn't fed up, and as a result her power isn't as big as it could have been, shouls she have this meal? (risk now, but easier future boss-fight)

Posting because I think it really fits. A bit big though. And hey, I liked that idea of like, a clan that focuses on adopting people in.
What was it "We all organize ourselves by family, but family isn't necessarily blood" ?

Ghost child be like "Oh, I get it now! Fox sister is not the one who will be eating me! Miss Winter Mist will eat me instead, right?" :D
Su Ling: "Ling Qi, don't you dare."
