[X] The Young Woman

I feel Crone is about as bad idea as Ling Qi telling Zeqing she wished the snow woman was her mother and it's a genuine miracle that didn't get us eaten

I will pick the crone. Not only does she fit Ling Qi themes the best, she is also the most interesting/mysterious.
Big stretch to actually call it best fit when all three have her themes, and their own contradictions:
-Maiden - Art, communication, pride and avarice. Qi is into art and communication, and she does like the bling bling, but her pride is of a different sort.
-Matron - Mother, warrior, and passion. A warrior and a mother, but she doesn't want to accept the latter, and her passions bring discomfort.
-Crone - Maker, slayer, and devourer. She's not much of a maker, and she's still coming to terms of bringing Endings. Om nom nom goes the pills tho

She's of a different culture and different mold, none of them will fit 'properly'.

[X] The Young Woman

So after puzzling it all over again. We're claiming to be an emissary, but its clear what they call an emissary isn't the same as ours. We'd REALLY find it urgent to understand what we claim to be, lest we commit to things we don't intend in ignorance

[X] The Mature Woman

Probably not going to win, and the other two have better relevance arguments (Maiden's the obviously optimal choice). I just want Ling Qi to see the more unusual stuff that's out of her comfort zone but still possibly somewhat within her wheelhouse.

[X] The Crone

I want Ling Qi to get some ominous, non-nice, poison and secret power. Diplomacy is nice and all, but that's actually Cai Renxiang's job. I want Ling Qi to explore her darker side.
