I want to point out that option 3 does not ends with them dead 100%. Option 3 means that Ling Qi is prepared to fight and expects it but doesn't provoke it and so it's up to them to start it. If they're preparing an ambush "just in case" then option 3 is the less hostile one.

I still wanna vote for both, but if forced to choose between the two of then this is what I prefer. The other one seems like it would emulate Meizhen and Renxiang which is all welp and good, but being polite in the face of ambush could be something that is uniquely Ling Qis.

My issue with the other vote is simple. It starts with the assumption that the ambush will happen no matter what we do and seeks to gain advantage by turning that ambush back on the ambushers - an excellent strategy in its own right, to be sure.
I would prefer to resolve this without violence, and as such an voting for the choice that attempts to do so.

So here's a sketch based on my impression of the current room(s)! Perspective is wonky and in retrospect the pools+brass stuff is overly bombastic

Another great piece. A comment. I think the spider chamber is far too small. There are six human sized spiders in there and the room seems built between the legs of a massive spider.Wanted to make minor changes to the previous painting but I left my file at home :/

Overall a great piece! Really showing your skill here. I do agree that the scrying room is overly bombastic though, Ling Qi mentions how everything looked excavated quickly so a rougher bare earth/stone look might be more accurate to what Ling Qi is moving through.

We've got Spirit Ken and Empathy capped and waiting upgrading and no combat skills the same so I'd rather do this.
