Khem got to have a pretty amazing naval force if they can consistently make their way to the empire. Possibly they have a lot of non aggression treaties with all those other forces they pass on the way.

Likely a combination of trade agreements, non-aggression pacts, and something like Seastone from One Piece to help avoid the perception of some of the less than friendly sea beasts and spirits.

Wow great map. Thank you for sharing.
That puts things better in perspective.

Thousand lakes is more like 5 lakes.
I expected it be littered with small lakes and a big one in the middle.

I did not realise that Golden Fields is so big
The province is bigger than the rest of the empire combined.

There's also a zoomed in map of the Empire you can find in the Informational tab. Amusingly the really big lakes of Thousand Lakes are like, small seas if they were on earth.

There is a reason that for all the saber rattling people are really really cautious about angering the Bai and the Zheng. A repeat of Graves of the Sun can easily destroy the whole of the empire.

The explosion must have been felt around the world, considering how big it is.

Really wonder how the other nations felt.
I sure they sent people to find out what the loud boom was.
Especially since it cracked the freaking tectonic plate. Earthquakes in a bunch of places probably.

The explosion was heard on Sumatra island, more than 2,000 kilometres (1,200 miles) away. Heavy volcanic ash rains were observed as far away as Borneo, Sulawesi, Java and Maluku islands, and the maximum elevation of Tambora was reduced from about 4,300 metres (14,100 ft) to 2,850 metres (9,350 feet). Although estimates vary, the death toll was at least 71,000 people. The eruption caused global climate anomalies in the following years, while 1816 became known as the "year without a summer" due to the impact on North American and European weather. In the Northern Hemisphere, crops failed and livestock died, resulting in the worst famine of the century.

The pressure wave generated by the colossal third explosion radiated out from Krakatoa at 1,086 km/h (675 mph), 90% of the speed of sound. The eruption is estimated to have reached 310 dB, loud enough to be heard 5,000 kilometres (3,100 mi) away. It was so powerful that it ruptured the eardrums of sailors 64 km (40 miles) away on ships in the Sunda Strait, and caused a spike of more than 8.5 kilopascals (2.5 inHg) in pressure gauges 160 km (100 miles) away, attached to gasometers in the Batavia gasworks, sending them off the scale.

The pressure wave was recorded on barographs all over the world. Several barographs recorded the wave seven times over the course of five days: four times with the wave travelling away from the volcano to its antipodal point, and three times travelling back to the volcano. Hence, the wave rounded the globe three and a half times. Ash was propelled to an estimated height of 80 km (50 mi).

...

In the year following the eruption, average Northern Hemisphere summer temperatures fell by 0.4 °C (0.72 °F). The record rainfall that hit Southern California during the water year from July 1883 to June 1884 – Los Angeles received 970 millimetres (38.18 in) and San Diego 660 millimetres (25.97 in) – has been attributed to the Krakatoa eruption.

...

The 1883 Krakatoa eruption darkened the sky worldwide for years afterwards and produced spectacular sunsets throughout the world for many months. British artist William Ashcroft made thousands of colour sketches of the red sunsets halfway around the world from Krakatoa in the years after the eruption. The ash caused "such vivid red sunsets that fire engines were called out in New York, Poughkeepsie, and New Haven to quench the apparent conflagration." This eruption also produced a Bishop's Ring around the sun by day, and a volcanic purple light at twilight.

Yeah they are "smaller" booms, than golden fields, but our globe is also smaller. Their entire world would have noticed. Both the boom, and the decades of aftermath.

Since we now use Wind Thief and not SCS, do we no longer move like a horror movie monster, blinking around without a single step? But I thought that our advanced dodge skill, Sable Grace, is based on moving like that? I kinda missed how that works.

So, is ten thousand falling miniature suns a teasing sneak peak of what lay beyond that which lays beyond the Super Sayan Falling Stars Art?

Probably.
This said, it strongly indicates that this is an art acquired from the barbarians, not unlike the Chinese bow tactics were originally taken over from the mongols irl actually, so we probably would have had problems getting the really high end successor arts from the sect and would have to get them from the tribes. Besides, there is the whole conflict between moon and star qi, this would be an additional problem, I suspect.
