I explained why I'm not a crazy big fan/some pitfalls of the current Zhengui option in my post, and I've opposed stand-alone Zhengui opportunities in the past when I thought they were based on flawed premises too. I also described ways I thought it could be a constructive choice even assuming my skepticism is warranted. My premises haven't shifted at all, and I did put actual thought into my position on this vote. Are you actually curious about my reasoning, or is this just a snide attack?Y'know, I want to say that I'm surprised you're suddenly making an about-face and arguing that we shouldn't go for the option which aligns the closest with Ling Qi's promise to Zhengui, but I'm really not.
Weren't you arguing not that long ago that if we kept ignoring options which directly involve Zhengui, when would we ever stop, or something to that effect?
To be clearer, the crux of my concern isn't just the lack of mechanical detail, which makes sense because we don't have a mechanical context for Zhengui's growth. It's that we lack even a vague fluff/flavor/theme blurb for the price being paid by him, which we do have for ourselves.[X] Accept Zhengui's offer. [Zhengui expends B Rank qi, receives minor cultivation penalty for the next turn.]
It makes sense that we don't have specifics for how the cultivation penalty would affect him, considering it's a lot less granular for him.
