[X] [Mockingbird] Yes, give support to Favreau to use Roberta 'Bobbi' Morse for Iron Man 2 (
Negotiation Roll)
Ah. Well, I suppose we screwed up a little on Gemma, which is fair enough.
Eh, physicality can be trained. It's not helpful
now, sure, but it's not guaranteed to be a doomsday scenario in the long-term. And while we're on concerns about Gemma, I'm also pretty sure she can't speak Russian. The good news is that learning foreign languages for a role is something she's willing to do (albeit, I'm reasonably sure that was French, not Russian).
There also isn't anything necessarily against this, at least as far as I know, but we will need to find the right actress. Anyone have any guesses?
And find someone with some physical acting talent, or martial arts background.
I really wish we'd have used Winnick as Widow, but maybe we could have Winnick be Morse, they are both blonde.
I'll preface this by saying I'm not too familiar with Mockingbird as a character (MCU or comics), but I'd like to throw in a few suggestions at the wall to see which one sticks.
Adrianne Palicki was the actress that portrayed her in
Agents of Shield.
There's also Katheryn Winnick as
@ComiTurtle suggests – she auditioned for Sif and BW, too.
I'd also put forward Jessica Biel – if only out of obligation, since both this and Charcolt's quest had her as an option for female roles early on and I kinda like the idea of rewarding loyalty (I'm assuming they mean
Blade by this).
If we're not tied to her being blonde, maybe Emily Blunt?
Edge of Tomorrow is still one of my favorite movies, and I can actually see Blunt playing an action hero (more so than most others, anyway).
Similarly, I'd also be down to cast Alexandra Daddario.
We could make 'dye your hair blonde' a prerequisite for the role – ScarJo did that for multiple Black Widow appearances after all.
(Also, apparently Mockingbird started off as a brunette in her first comics appearance? Got that off wikipedia, so idk how accurate that is)
Other options –
Eliza Dushku. She was in BtVS. Admittedly, this option I lifted straight from Charcolt's quest.
Jaimie Alexander? She played Sif OTL.
And longshot (because IM2 is slated for either 2010 or 2011 release afaik), but Sofia Boutella. Mostly, it's her appearance in Kingsman that makes me confident she can do the physical parts of the role – the 'problem' is that I'm pretty sure she hadn't gotten into acting yet at this time.
