I'd suggest Eliza Dushku for Natasha, but she would be mid Dollhouse in '09.

For a total unknown, we could cast aspiring actress Margot Robbie, who has done some guest appearances on TV, but has charisma and a can do attitude.

That is utterly insane, but interesting. So, I'm also going to ask about Margot Robbie as well, even if we don't cast her as Natasha, there are other roles which might be a good fit for her. I'm still sticking with Gemma, since she's relatively safe and others seem to think she is good enough for this.

Going with this as well.

I don't know Gemma's work very well, can she accomplish any of Widow's physicality? Because I'm heavily leaning Winnick as Widow.

Duquesne, all of the options would work though Penn is out because this production can't get pushed back, imo. Hamm would be interesting, and I think they would be a good face to be on promotional material but I do like Wilson or Reno better. I think I lean a bit more towards Wilson because he looks more intimidating to me, but I'd be happy with either of them ultimately.

I prefer Urban or Pine for Hawkeye, I think Pine of the pair would bring more people in, but I just prefer Urban and he sounds all-in and seems to understand the path we're going.

Ruhian for Silencer is easy, strong physicality will be cool.

I heavily agree with the idea of focusing in on this production so that we can smooth things out on our green directors, so I find myself basically in agreement with Nystical's plan. But I just think Winnick is a better and safer Widow option, and I'd rather give her a use in a likely recurring role now than maybe getting her on board later in a Thor Sequel.

Bird in hand and all that metaphor stuff.

My primary gripe with making Jensen Hawkeye is that he has a conflicting schedule, which makes sense considering he's currently starring in a TV show that will probably go on for 15 seasons. If we choose him, there is a possibility that there will be future schedule conflicts and we could very possibly not have much access to him for reasons that might involve Supernatural.

Edit: I'm okay with Jensen becoming Hawkeye, he's just not my first pick for the role.

That's what I've been feeling as well. Jensen certinally didn't seemed to be happy with how the show went over the years. If he excels in the role, it could give him a life raft if he feels the ship is starting to sink. Rather than feeling obligated to see it out or whatever his reason was to stick with the show.
 
It looks like Deanie Beanie's winning right now. Bit of a shame, personally. Although, now that I look at it, Karl Urban could possibly pass off as a believable older brother of Jensen, and thus Barney Barton.

I don't want to be stuck voting again for another day or so if Jensen negotiations fail, so I'll have to choose runner up.

It would be best to go with the runner up. It seems to me that Karl Urban seems to be that runner-up. But even so, I don't want to be stuck voting.

Precisely my thoughts on this. Also, what do you think of Karl Urban playing Clint's older brother Barney in a possible Hawkeye sequel?

Oh, definitely. I mean, while I'd love a larger role for Karl Urban, it would be fascinating. Though, this hinges on if we get a sequel, when there might be some bad rolls to make this a stinker. Or someone releases a far better movie, and we're left in the dirt, while having a somewhat less awesome movie.

Counter being that we have Karl as a backup regardless - we don't really lose anything by attempting to go Jensen and using Karl as a runner up.

Just wondering since my preference is only 1 off of you, what is the idea behind picking Gemma for Widow, I am unaware of their content really and if you think they would be good in the part that would be personally helpful for me, because I'm heavily leaning Winnick because I think she'd be good in the role.

Going with this. Arterton is the only one I'm iffy on, but that's because she's only…22-23 at this point in time.

Also conflicted on Yayan. Not because I doubt his ability, but rather because The Raid wouldn't be as great without him in it, and once you go Hollywood it's pretty unlikely you'll go back. The things we sacrifice for fight sequences…
