[X] Let the girl be while we try to figure the facility out. Whatever the egg is, it kept her alive and arguably well for at least half a dozen centuries, and freeing her, only to destroy the priceless healing device, would be a heinous waste. She has survived so long. She will sleep a little longer.

Remember it was a bunch of common workers that said it. Actual religious heads... Well, its a toss up on what you would get out of it. Might be heresy. Might be good.

Might just be a poor girl.

Oh, and Amity cut the cost of rebuilding the Temple by about a sixth and reduced the construction time by a fifth. Nice work!

Makes me wonder if we can find another construction foreman dumb enough to comment about Amity's whiskers - if she chucks him out the nearest window then that might save us another 50 Lien and a year of construction time. :drevil: Hey, we won't know until we try.

The funny thing is that you arn't entirely wrong, the thing about pissed of administrators is that they have an almost magical ability to drastically increase or decrease the time and cost of a project when motivated the right way.

Let's keep this under wraps for now. I guess we have an new goal or two though. Find someone trustworthy who can speak classical so we can communicate, and a way to safely get her out without destroying the device.

You know I was sure no one would vote for my idea I'm pleasantly surprised to be wrong.

@Raiu How many people on the construction site know about the girl? Is it just the work crew who entered the bunker? Or has gossip spread it to everybody on the work site? In other words if we go with Changeofheart 's idea how many workers will we have to replace, and how much gossip will replacing them generate?

There were about three work crews in the crypt at the time, but there was a period of time where the crews weren't segregated from the rest of the workers. Two of them weren't accounted for until after the girl was discovered. So the bunker is known to the rest of the workers, but not the girl.

It's been a few days since they were segregated, so you'd have to come up with a really good excuse as to how they died.

Already got it ready "your fellow workers unfortunately meet their end when they opened up a unusual door without any security present unleashing the grimm on the other side to attack them, but don't worry they have been avenged and the grimm killed so get back to work."

This also has the side benefit of making sure the workers will report any findings like the door instead of rushing in thus we don't have to keep purging them when they learn to much.

Probably doesn't work if they asked and were told that the segregated workers were alive, and given they waited several days, they likely were already told the workers were fine, just isolated. The absolute most that could be gotten away with is 'oh they all came down with the plague', but the relative freedom of movement granted certain people would put that in a questionable light.

Well there is always a complete purge or maybe send away those that only know about the bunker and remove those that went inside with a handwave explanation that they are being examined for something *dropped into the nearest ditch and buried* and then say that unfortunately the crypt has to be quarantined for an unknown amount of time.

Or, and here's a completely crazy idea, we tell the people who do know about the girl to keep quiet about what exactly was found in there, and just keep an eye on them for a while instead of trying to cover things up with murder.

To easy to get living people to talk willingly or otherwise while the dead require much more effort.

Well, this is becoming an interesting little diversion, if only to see who is bloodthirsty.

Man, the things you would learn if the readers only knew how to read Classical.

Except for the fact that murdering people draws attention - when groups of people are murdered it's usually to hide something, so it shows that there is something worth hiding. And that just encourages people to look for what is hidden.
Ah but they will not know what it is right away if we kill off those that could tell them.

The reason I'm advocating for such slaughter is that what we have is a game changer and people will burn our kingdom down to get their hands on it.

It's a game changer that nobody can use.

It's like slaughtering totally friendly aliens for their highly advanced spaceship so no other nation on earth can have it, but being completely unable to use the spaceship until people find out what you did and kill you anyway.

Ah, but they won't know there is anything at all if we don't draw tons of attention to what's happening over there.

Also, it may not be such a massive game changer, at least not a big enough deal to risk open war.

The answer to "Who kills who" will be members of your personal guard, the people you trust most.

And it looks like Gamefreak knows the Riddle of Classical. Joy oh joy. Now we just have to see if he can solve the Riddle of Steel.

Edit: Twenty minutes until the vote is called. Clear Majority here, but I need to give some warning.

These workers that we spare whats to stop them from going home and saying the right words to the wrong people because we can't be watching them 24/7, all they have to say is found a hidden bunker much less what's inside it to gain attention. Even if we make them take an oath of secrecy they may fully intend to keep only to be forced to tell anyway because some people can be "convincing".
