Yeah, I'd say getting Gene Seed Partial Mutation Prevention should be a high priority.

So much so that we should reserve a research slot every turn/second turn to progressing the Gene Seed tree. Would be nice if we became the premier expert on Gene Seeds outside of Emps

by the way, can you update this plan, since gene-seed basic is already in the process of being researched?

I just got back, but yeah. Updated the plan.

Sure, I'll add those tomorrow when I get time.

Was going to ask if you minded doing feedback about the Omakes posted, but you just studied for a Midterm and will be doing it tomorrow. So tomorrow after classes and the Mid-term when you call the vote to a close I guess, mind giving your opinion about them?

Our Cousins Did Fall, But We Will Not
Our Cousins Did Fall, But We Will Not
Across the 11th legion and Kesar's domain, a new tradition was being enacted. Reports were provided, plans drawn up and stories were told, all in the interest of integrating the Primarch's newest custom into the culture of his people. Missives were received by hundreds of thousands, containing their new orders and the words that they would take to heart.

Our Cousins Did Fall, But We Will Not.

In the dimly lit barracks, between deployments, Captain Julian Hectus read his own package. He marvelled at the reports detailing the resources engaged in moving remains and constructing monuments to their cousins long thought lost to time. The time spent locating all their fallen cousins, let along learning their stories must have taken a colossal amount of effort and coordination. His own missive contained the story of a marine, so much like his own. Recruited from a backwater planet that fought for survival, having barely the capacity of a post-agricultural society. He had faced many trials before and after receiving the gene seed that exalted him so highly that he could barely be called human. He had made mistakes. His name was Mathius Arl.

Captain Julian entered the forge closest to his quarters, Forge B3-1, to find it as bustling as expected. Techpriests and Astartes alike were working away at various projects, most huddled over some equipment to execute the Rite of Remembrance. Julian retreated to one of the few stations left unused to fulfil his own duty by engraving the tale he had read, the name we had learned and the decree he would ensure.

Our Cousins Did Fall, But We Will Not.

While the neophytes did rest between gruelling training sessions, their Drill Sargent however would not allow their lessons to cease for a moment. He often dictated to them the histories of their legion, the stories of the fallen and the customs that had resulted from dearly paid experience. The tale of a long deceased Primarch and his sons, he argued, were no less important than the those of their own legion. He recited the story of the 2nd Primarch, the accounts he had already memorised and expected the neophytes to replicate. Of the great heights and devastating lows that he had experienced before his ultimate end. Of the sons that stood with him, and those that stood against. Of the lessons the Drill Sargent intended to engrave into his charge's heads, even physically if he must. The recruits must learn the burden of their duty and the consequences of failure that he would not allow. They were given their orders, the most important before all others. They would never fall.

Our Cousins Did Fall, But We Will Not.

All across Valhalla, immense amounts of resources were transported and consumed in the efforts to revitalise the Primarch's home. Most went to laying down infrastructure and building the factories required to feed the war machine of the growing Imperium, but a small fraction was diverted to cultural efforts. Arguably the grandest of all was a monument, newly constructed in an unassuming corner of the Capital Hive which looked upon the frosty plains of their home world. Many from within the Legion, and from across the Imperium, would make the pilgrimage to bear witness and to remember.

Imposing metal urns stood upon pedestals, numbering in the tens of thousands and arranged as if an army standing at attention. Contained within each urn we the ashes of Astartes that had been retrieved from the far corners of the known galaxy, often from sectors still embroiled in war. Engraved upon each urn was the name of the deceased, the legend they had lived, the lessons they so dearly learned but could only teach in death.

Towards the back of the square lay a wall that wrapped around the urns. It too was made of the ashes of the fallen and engraved with their names in alignment to the formation, mimicking the urns before it. At the very centre of the wall stood engraved the name of the 2nd Primarch, Abel Simeon, and the words of his brother Primarch:

HERE IN THE PRESENCE OF VALHALLA IN THE SEVENTH YEAR SINCE REUNION WITH HUMANITY, WE HONOR THE PRIMARCH AND SONS OF THE SECOND LEGION WHO TOOK UP THE STRUGGLE DURING THE GREAT CRUSADE AND MADE THE SACRIFICES TO PERPETUATE THE GIFT OUR SOVEREIGN ENTRUSTED TO US:

AN IMPERIUM CONCEIVED IN ENLIGHTENMENT AND UNITY.

OUR COUSINS DID FALL, BUT WE WILL NOT.

Imagine Tzeentch's reaction when Magnus decks out Prospero in anti-Chaos Runes. And then somehow manages to make an alternative cure for the Flesh-Change on accident so when Tzeentch tries pulling that shit and returning the curse to the Thousand Sons his plan gets fucked up again.

If the Runes can be Tattoed on the body of the Astrates(or even Gaurdsmen or Navigators) then they possibly could not only stop the Flesh change in Thousynd Sons Legion but propably even make them more powerfull by making their connection to the Warp much safier and easier. Not to mention they would have baddass Tattos.

I'm curious thought, if symbols can have effect from belief of people then what kind of effect the Imperial Eagle have on Warp and Chaos? After all its a symbol known to Trilions of humans(and Xenos now to) that represents the very Empire and its might, if somehow Runes are added to it it could make the most popular symbol in Empire that is practicaly everywhere a threath to the Chaos.

I've really enjoyed the series so far.

A few questions:
What's the average lifespan like? It seems to fluctuate between 1000-4000. Is that just with the empiress' or is that representative of the average Ruoult?

It's been mentioned that they have a lot of daemon experience, is that going to be expanded upon later. Is there minor daemon events that have occurred so far that are either footnotes or just incomprehensible until later?

What do you rate their tech level like at their peak? Low imperial, high imperial, higher still?

Is the Xenofact warptech? Do they have warptech?
The average lifespan is 1000 to 1500, empress and warseers generally live 2000-2500, but there are very very rare people who live beyond that.

Not decided

Low imperial on civilian tech, middle imperial in case of war-related tech, however, they have some unique tech which I will expand later.

Those are webway, sorta special kind as this kinda work like a pylon but rather make demon summoning hard in such planets and boost untainted Psykers who came in contact. Veiled region was one of the place where in the past daemon incursion happened, so old ones tried to replicate something their enemies already created but it was too late, they died before they can replicate the technology large scale, xenofects are the prototype of that project. They do not have warptech.

Just noticed this omake reward was not placed with the primarch bonuses
Gifts from Mars - There are many aspects of Kesar's armour that are impressive. Like all of the Primarch's personal wargear, there are thousands if not millions of interconnected components. Kesar's armour somehow has more thanks to the respect of the Martian Fabricator General. This has led to his armour performing slightly better than expected. *armour has an additional +5 bonus to combat*

Currently +2 from it

No that's a different one this was a reward for doomwombats primarch gift from Vulcan.
while the currently +2 thing is a mass produced armour among the legion from a different omake.
these ones

We're looking at this, correct?

+7 to combat rolls (+5 Superior Equipment, +(5*30774/66500) = +2 Mark IIB Power Armor - Omake Reward)

If so, the thing is regarding the Armor, a combat bonus does not apply until part of the Legion big enough to get that fractional part of the bonus is supplied with the Armor. One of those Omakes got us the bonus, but no armor. The second one got us 30000 suits of it which gave us the bonus. That is still part of the Armor Bonus, and does not have its own particular bonus.

Nevermind, just went at looked at it further and I saw what you meant. So... uh, I mean our Astartes are always armored so we went from +57 a combat roll, to +62 and then +67 when we get outnumbered. So, damn. That's all based on the assumption of fighting Daemons only.

I'm sorry I misread again, that was for Kesar not the Astartes. So it reads +105 now? And that's before adding bonuses that are non-Primarch that he would benefit from.

Motherfucker got some decent bonuses, I can definitely seeing him be up there in terms of combat. Not to mention he gets +5 to the first Round of Combat I'm assuming and +5 when defending, so if that can be argued for Personal Combat Defense it's even better. He also likely gets that +7 to Combat Rolls, and if outnumbered a +5. I'd argued he'd also should get the +5 for suffering losses if he has any sons near him when fighting. Also, didn't his armor give him a +100 if he was die that turn allowing him to fight that turn then die afterwards. Oh, and +35 to Last Stands.

Also, another thing. He's one of the smartest Primarchs too I believe and he has the entire anti-Daemon Shtick. Pretty cool.

DC halved for Warp Genetics Research (Biologis Connections – Omake reward)
DC halved for Gellar Field Research (Gellar Expert - Omake reward)
DCs for void shield research halved (Magos Averenth - Omake Reward)

Narratively the assumption is these bonuses make him rather smart/intelligent concerning technology and the such.

Edit: Just looked at Attachments Bonuses and the Imperial Valhallan Army gives us +10 to Combat Rolls vs Daemons. So we're actually at +55 (against Daemons) before factoring in +5 First Round of Combat, +5 When Outnumbered, +5 When suffering Losses, +7 from other Combat Bonuses for Attacking. Then we have to add in either +20 for being Astartes, and then the rest of Kesar's Bonuses which are... +20, and a situational +40 which gets halved if he's leading from the back. So assuming that's all true.

We have +132 through +152 for overall Bonuses against Daemons. Welp.... Goodbye Daemons, hello purged world.

And on the first round of combat we get to roll twice and pick best roll, top kek for our opening strikes.

Only geller expert is due to his own knowledge/intelligence. The other two are because he's got help. Also, we don't have the armor Vulkan gave us yet.

Fucking armor we shall get you yet, well, Gellar Expert means he's pretty good at that, Narratively you could swing it as him learning from those people to further his knowledge. But yeah I understand.

Looking at Spreadsheet, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Assuming we only add the changes of the two Planets we upped on the next turn we're looking at 8,713.49 PP.

From there, we plan on spending that in these ways:

Upgrade the New T15 to T16, costs 500 PP gains us another 5000 PP for having another T16 Planet. Leaves us at 8,213.49 PP. Then we'll upgrade our 28 T9 Planets to T10 for 1,400 PP, which gives us 700 PP altogether from those 28. That leaves us at 6,813.49 PP. Then we upgrade all of our T10 up to T11 for 3,600 PP, which gives well, a new 1,800 PP. Leaves us at 3,312.49 PP. With that said, that allows us to take 3 planets from T11 to T15 for 2,100 PP. Essentially T11 to T12 costs 100 PP so that's 300 PP from that, and then assuming it costs 200 PP to get up to 13, and we know it costs 200 PP to move from 13 to 14 and then another 200 P to get to 15 from 14, altogether for 3 Planets gets us that -2,100 PP. Which leaves us at 1,212.49. That allows us to take two planets from T15 to T16, and gives us another 10000 PP while leaving us 212.49 leftover to us for the turn after that.

That should give us, 20000 PP from the 4 T16s, 1000 PP from the T15, 1650 PP from the T11s, and then the rest from the T8s and everything below that. So ultimately something around 22650 PP.

That is NOT how that works. Infrastructure upgrades give us IP, or Infrastructure Points. Technology gives us TP or Technology Points, PP are production points, which are calculated by taking the square root of the product of IP and TP and multiplying that by the various multipliers we have. A tier 16 world gives us 5000 IP. not PP.

Fuck my life. Thanks for correcting that. So I just massively fucked up... Oof.

Now I don't even wanna try doing the Math, lol.

I'm sorry. :( Didn't mean to make you hate the math.

It's cool, I just went and grabbed my TI-83 and started doing it again. Since I'm not even going to bother using my phone's calculator. So, how is the Omake Bonus and Guilliman's Note bonus affecting PP again? 1.01 % of total PP added?

Edit: I'm honestly unsure of how the Percentages Bonuses are effecting the Raw PP. Which I got to be 1801.66 for the next turn assuming the only changes are the two we made.

I would like to get these eventually but we are in the build up stage at the moment
*Valhallan Defensive Network can be constructed for 1200PP. Doubles enemy casualties*
*Supreme Defensive Network available. 12k PP triples enemy casualties.*

Guilliman's Note multiplies our total by 1.001, while the omake multiplies by 1.01. The spreadsheet has all the multipliers listed, though for Guilliman's Note you have to actually check what function its running by clicking on the box.

It is definitely the plan to get that. Or at least the first one before too long.

I would get those after we get like 3 or 4 T16 Planets?

So 2.011 is our overall multiplier?

@jjffjhjf Mind doing the break down of the multiplier affecting the Raw PP? And showing the work here, because honestly doing math early in the morning is not my strong suit.

Edit: I may have figured it out finally on my own after banging my head against a wall a few times

sorry about the slow reply, got distracted by writing an omake.

Alright so, the base PP we currently have on the spreadsheet is 1192.69 (truncated to 2 digits because I don't really want to deal with more). That gets multiplied multiple different times. By 1.001 for the Notes. Giving 1193.88. That value is multiplied again by the Infrastructure Modifier, which is currently 1 because we haven't built any infrastructure modifying buildings. So we are still at 1193.88. We multiply by 1.01 for the omake bonus. Giving us 1205.82. Then by another 1.025 for the Tech Bonuses we got from Hearth IV, giving us 1235.97. Which is just .01 PP off from what the Spreadsheet has because I truncated the values. Still, that's how that math works. Trying to get a total multiplier would involve a hell of a lot of decimal places, and seems like it'd be a bigger pain that just multiplying it a bunch of times. But if done would give 1.03628525 for total multiplier.
