And what will having a talk with her do? Most likely nothing.
Actually, as mentioned in the social option, just showing up at all would be seen as a sign of support which could definitely affect matters, perhaps even tip more support from those on the fence as mentioned, and probably send a message for loyalist parties too. Then Mara and Kesar, or rather a representative Hero, could get into a discussion of what's happening and what the latter can do to help the former.

And what will having a talk with her do? Most likely nothing. The Renegade Few is a bit more understandable but even assuming Perturabo wouldn't tell Kesar the plan unless we send someone there, we lack any means of affecting the outcome.

Admittedly that's the case for most of these, but what can ya do. And I doubt anyone presently would vote for a plan that converts a social into research.

I'm not too personally attached to the Mara social but having Maticus talk to her will give us a much better view of the human perspective by talking with the leaders of a major rebel camp as well as (as Tiny has already said), signal greater political favor for Mara's cause that might convince others to help out.

Nah I don't care about the respect angle. I really just don't want Karcer to do something stupid like try to reveal Chaos and Ori has a close enough working relationship with her that he would be able to get her to not do that. I really would like to have our social be with Karcer, but Kesar is much better equipped to keep the peace between Sang and Morty as well as debate with Fulgrim/Ferrus.
You think Kesar's refusal to meet her after the incident with Epsilon-354 wouldn't be taken as a sign of his lack of interest in listening to what she has to say, leading to her taking matters into her own hands to inform her colleagues of what she believes they need to know? Because that sounds very optimistic to me.

Edit:

So all we get is being outed as a traitor and getting even more requests for our resources... we should definitely not interact with her for as long as we can.

I mean it's not so much a refusal as a "I am absurdly busy right now." We could write a letter to her with Ori delivering it as an apology for not being able to meet her due to running around and meeting with all the Primarchs. Now that the cat's out of the bag, Oriacarius will definitely be able to explain why telling so many people about Chaos is a bad thing and she respects Ori enough that he should be able to convince her.

Karcer's main problem with the Wardens was that we were extremely tight lipped about Warp matters and now that doesn't matter so Ori will be able to tell her everything about why it's a bad idea, and I don't think she would take Kesar's inability to meet her as a lack of interest, especially with a hand written letter and our most important Hero actively explaining why sharing knowledge of Chaos is a bad idea.

After her terrible experience with Roboute and now Kesar outright fucking up then not talking with her, I'm not so sure. All the evidence seems to be pointing to "Man Primarchs are all up their own asses even if some of their Space Marines are alright." And in this case, save for the Emperor's reprisal, Karcer is basically of the same opinion as Kesar anyway, since she doesn't want to tell everyone, just the people she thinks need the info.

Given the shitfest that is the Imperium right now, I do think Karcer would still be upset but if she sees that Kesar really is doing everything he can to help deal with the problems infesting the Imperium right now, then I think she will at least understand why Kesar felt meeting with her was not the most important item on his plate.

Nick does have a point with Karcer potentially being insulted if Kesar doesn't meet her so I've made this alternate plan in case we feel dealing with Karcer personally is more important right now.

It's mostly the same as the other plan except for 3 key details.

1. Kesar will be meeting with Karcer instead of Ori

2. Ori will be handling the Sang/Mort problem instead of Kesar

3. Maticus will be meeting with Corvus and Magnus instead of Mara.

Not meeting Mara means Kesar will be less likely to be seen as openly rebel and closer to neutral and this plan also means we can deal with the Karcer problem personally rather than hoping Ori can deal with it himself as it is important that Karcer respects Kesar here.

The reason I have Maticus meeting with Corvus and Magnus instead of Mara is that in addition to the above reasoning, Maticus is very likely to work with the Eldar next turn due to them calling in a favor so having him meet with the two most Eldar-aligned Primarchs could give him a lot of insight into how to work effectively with them.

In addition, Maticus is pretty similar to Kesar overall so I imagine Maticus would be able to effectively show Kesar's thoughts on future Eldar diplomacy even if less effectively than if Kesar came personally.

Children of Ogma, the Rune World.
Hiya! Decided to make a quick omake on the Rune World, because it's hopefully gonna get done by next turn and because I had a little idea about it I wanted to write.
-----
Children of Ogma, the Rune World.

In my dreams, I burn with the stars.

Within the city of Ogma, haven of psykers that follow the teachings of the Runelord, I awaken and feel embers cling to my fingers. Gleaming against the frigid expanse.

A world of ice and snow, an empty place slowly filled by what was done on this space.

I am older than the city, its streets and passages and myriad buildings. I have watched it grow as I have grown.

I was born on Ogma, the World of Runes, my parents were some of the students there who first managed to properly channel this power. Sharing their Immaterial gift was not guaranteed even as their child, yet indeed could my hands reach out and touch the starlit ocean. For as long as I could remember, seeing the shapes made by my family and those others followers of Kesar Dorlin, I could feel it.

When I came of age, I could touch it. Delight, worry, joy and concern wreathed my parents as they taught me everything they knew to help me learn it. To fear the power yet to not hide from it, to embrace it with respect for its wild nature. It is exactly like flame to me, on this frigid world. It can burn things to ash and it can bring warmth and life.

I walk with fire. I have walked with it since this city began its construction. I carry a talisman bought by my father and carved by my mother, and it holds a Rune of Fire that is as close to me as my very heart.

I carry flame in my hands. A torch passed down by my family to me. I take up a chisel and with steady hands channel my mind into the intricate patterns. Delicate flourish, careful design, the exact depth and means. My breath is carried into the material I etch into, memories dance as cinders rising in the wind, the Rune of Fire is stoked and heated by my touch.

Without this world, without the Eleventh Primarch, I would not be here.

My very life is carved into the Runes I make. It is a gift, it is payment, it is myself reflected in countless little flames. I pass down these torches to whomever they reach.

---

In my dreams, I remember the cold nights.

Ogma is what I call my home now. The vast city is beautiful and shines as a brilliant light to the second sight I possess. It is an immaculate wonder made by two of the Emperor's sons, meant just for me and those like myself. Yet it is not where I came from.

I was born on Valhalla, the same planet that Primarch Kesar Dorlin was found and raised. My childhood was a string of moments on that beautiful land of ice and snow, until it was realised that I could call upon the Warp.

It was painful to leave, but it is an honour. The work of our saviour was a choice I was happy to have made. So many stories were told about him, about those that were raised into his Wardens. To use my curse like this, and make it into a gift? It is a blessing.

Before I left, my parents gave me their final lessons. They taught me of Chaos, the madness it inflicts and insidious nature that it had on all and especially those that could wield the Warp. Fear and respect is granted to psykers for they were both the greatest danger yet the strongest boon.

Their words are reflected by the teachers here, by the words of Kesar Dorlin, by the very design of this city to ward against them. Here there is a deeper comfort from the unwanted touch of the, the very shape carefully made against the patterns of the living nightmares.

The shapes... the greatest of them all were the Runes, the purpose of this planet and all that lived upon it. Similar to Valhalla, just emptier and wilder and untouched by the fell hand of ruin. A blank slate. A new beginning. A place to grant meaning and meditate upon the nature of everything.

For me, I was must attuned to the chill embrace of the cold. The home I left and the home I have made here now. Just as the Primarch had been raised on Valhalla, I am now raised here by the chill of Ogma.

Without this gift, without the Eleventh Primarch, I would not be here.

I crystallise this feeling into the Runes of Ice.

---

In my nightmares, I clutch the silver medal.

I awaken holding the memento from my mother. A soldier of the Imperial Army, a decorated veteran who managed to live where countless did not, who was allowed to remain garrisoned on a planet to become a colonist.

A world on the Maelstrom, where I was born.

Those born within worlds so devoured by the Warp were different than those outside. For me and many others, I awakened psychic powers at a young age and could feel a heavy weight everywhere. Feelings in the air, sorrow and disgust and anger and fear. It flooded my nightmares.

My nature was discovered almost instantly. But before that, it was already known by my mother.

She taught me of the dangers of the Warp. Told me she had fought them personally and knew that every bad story was literal. While she didn't understand or know them well, she knew more than enough including what could ward them off. A silver medal was taken, proof of veterancy against the Warp, and granted to me to soothe my dreams. I took it with me as I was delivered to Ogma while she remained.

The Eternal Wardens helped take me to the World of Runes. A place of calm and safety, cold and empty, full of others like myself. Those that understood, even if some did not feel the sheer weight that Warp could have upon everything around you and within.

The teaching of the Primarch who helped banish the Maelstrom, and lead the conquest into its abyssal depths, explained much. Showcased pathways of meaning. Artworks and stories to help frame everything. The importance of focus, purity and precision.

To ward away the influence I would never forget, reflecting the gift I always held, I channelled my power to the Runes of Silver. Memories of the Maelstrom still linger in my sleep, yet no longer does it feel so terrible.

Without this curse, without the Eleventh Primarch, I would not be here.

One day I hope that my work can help those in need of facing the Warp, to protect them as I was protected.

Alright omakes. First up we have a fun omake related to Blair and Lockcraft covering a fun bit of the lore related to what she's been up to. For your reward:

[] +10 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] Reduced chance of immediate backlash for the ritual of the Woedica
[] +10 to Blair's rolls for the turn

A Mutal Union

Next up is a fun sequal to the prior omake. This time covering the events on Ultramar. I do enjoy how things have developed, and for your reward:

[] +10 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] Slightly increases the effectiveness of response to the protest and riots
[] Guilliman gets an extra action this turn to attend the wedding

The Return of the War Hounds

An excellent omake covering the development of the War Hounds and Lhorke's rebirth. It's a fantastic omake that covers a lot of what the World Eaters went through following their reconstruction. Especially the parts with Kharn and Sanguinius, those were exceptional. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] Increased trait gain for War Hound heroes for the turn
[] Lhorke gains Welcome to the Legion - Revealed if Chosen

Five-Fold Path

And here is an excellent omake for the Shell of Woedica. It's a good look as to what's being done to ensure the God is born in a manner that works out. But things may still go wrong. As for your reward:

[] +10 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to rolls for the ritual of Woedica
[] Reduced chance of immediate backlash for the ritual

POA (Person Other than Astartes)

[] +10 to War Hound rolls for the turn
[] Reduced chance of the Imperial Army backstabbing the War Hounds this turn (~15% -> ~8%)

[] +10 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to army rolls against this Gelidanima
[] Increased trait gain for heroes deployed to Gelidanima

Not One More Name

And here we have an excellent instrospective omake covering Kesar's thoughts following the defeat against Epsilon. It's an excellent omake and extremely in character for him. As for your reward, that was already given:

*Increased effect of Kesar's newest trait

The Butcher of Men

Similarly, it's a good look at Aurelian. He's definitely traumatized from what he's done, but he isn't wasteful. I like how he attempts to reduce casualties and learn from needless waste of life. As for your reward, that was already given:

*Increased effect of Aurelian's newest trait

And Justice for All

Then we have an excellent look at Miriam, a character in a compliance that occurred quite literally decades ago in universe and years ago IRL. It's a fantastic way to tie in past events in TLP to the present whilst being fitting and I very much enjoyed it. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to rolls for the ritual of Woedica
[] Increase knowledge gained from the ritual of Woedica

Years 56-60 Worlds

Here we have an excellent informational covering the worlds that the Imperium faces this turn. I rather enjoy having all the information condensed into a single post, especially the relevant omakes. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to rolls for a selected Primarch this turn
[] Ask the GM a question and they shall answer (subject to veto)

Project BUCKLER

Next up we have a very fun omake going into detail on Project Buckler and the various vehicles it makes up. Overall it's an excellent way to fluff them out and I do like how all the vehicles have clear and defined rolls. As for your reward:

[] +10 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] -2% IA casualties for the Imperium this turn (does not apply to Civil War losses)
[] +10 to Imperial Army R&D rolls for the turn

The Burden of Responsibility

Here we have a great look at how trauma can manifest and effect one's thoughts years after such an event. It's a great read, and the introspection present is excellently written. Aengus feels quite human in this, which I approve of. As for your reward:

[] +10 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to Aengus' rolls for the turn
[] Increased trait gain for Aengus this turn

Burden of Truth

And the last of the main threadmark omakes, here we have a very good look at the Emperor's plans from a primary source. I enjoy Skullface's warnings here as well as just how unnerved he is by all of it. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to Skullface's rolls for the turn
[] Ask the GM a question and they shall answer (subject to veto)

Raven Guard/Ravenloft Tech Trees

And here is an excellent omake covering the various tech trees Corvus and Ravenloft have. It's extremely extensive and I do enjoy that considerably. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] Ravenloft gets an extra action for research this turn (Godly Manifestation)
[] Ask the GM a question and they shall answer (subject to veto)

Children of Ogma, the Rune World.

And lastly, we have a fun omake covering an individual born on the rune world. I do enjoy the culture that's developing on it, it's certainly unique. As for your reward:

[] +10 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to rune world rolls for the turn
[] +1 rune action this turn

@Daemon Hunter I'm still deciding on my other rewards, but I want to know: "Did Eldrad indeed confirm to Morty who ordered the assassination of his sons?" as one of QM question rewards. Ideally with a name that was namedropped.

Welcome to the Legion - Forced to understand what it means to rebuild a Legion from the ground up, Lhorke has confronted many tactical and strategic choices of the past. *+5 to command*

Eldrad has confirmed to Mortarion on who ordered the assassination of his sons. He told him it was Erevan.

The actual answer was Valdor.

Of freaking course the mini Golden asshole would be behind it!

We REALLY need to kick his ass into the next Era at this point and let Morty get some shots in.

[] +10 to Blair's rolls for the turn

Much as I want to do the reduce backlash, I need to get these fucking rolls higher due to the level of complexity involved in all of this

[] Guilliman gets an extra action this turn to attend the wedding

Clearly this is going to be the point where he announces his own marriage /s

[] +10 to rolls for the ritual of Woedica

Gotta increase the odds

[] Reduced chance of the Imperial Army backstabbing the War Hounds this turn (~15% -> ~8%)

Lhorke's got one ME to handle. He'll be fine with his rolls.

[] Increase knowledge gained from the ritual of Woedica

I know I want to improve the rolls, but knowledge gained is rather vital, even if this ends in a failure

[] -2% IA casualties for the Imperium this turn (does not apply to Civil War losses)

Easy choice

[] Ask the GM a question and they shall answer (subject to veto)

Done

[] Ravenloft gets an extra action for research this turn (Godly Manifestation)

More actions for research is important.

We're in for interesting times, are we not? Gotta say, love the new 'blue' system! I wonder if there's any in-universe widespread usage of blue for the Gamma rebels?

I'll pick the third option, ask the GM a question and they shall answer (subject to veto), and I'll... save it for now! (if that's okay!) Can't really think of anything I want to use this on at the moment. Or rather I do, and I dunno what to pick just yet.

Soon, very soon now, this Rune World is gonna get done. Two stages left, one turn left (unless luck is super bad).

It physically pains me, but I pick the second option, +10 to rune world rolls for the turn, to try guaranteeing that we finally get this thing.

You can in fact save the question.
