Interesting tidbit from Discord:

3. From what Ridcully can tell, are Self-Sacrifice (traditional Heroic Sacrifice) more a function of Cost or Narration? They do seem to have a far more outsized effect than a regular sacrifice practiced by Chaos.
3. it is a mix of both. It has a higher cost as the self is, almost, always more valued and has a lot more narrative significance. The only sacrifices that match it are the worst of betrayals (beloved father, wife ect)

So when the Academy Guard made a suicidal countercharge to save Ridcully they were doing a major ritiual of their own, fulfilling their purpose as a bodyguard to protect another!
yes, actually Gatta would have just failed to make it going by rolls, but narrative won out (due to Law of Narrative) and she succeeded
I actually thought it was a function of Law of Cost, although that is probably me being influenced by Rihaku's story where creating a Magnum Opus typically required dying as part of the process.

I am late to the debate about sacrificing Rotbart to Chaos to make Lin immortal (a joke by Durin) but realistically even in th best case scenario Lin would hate that form of self sacrifice. On the other hand "religous fanatics" with a very good chance of healing another primarch...
That is terrifyingly tempting. :cry:

@Durin
1. Is there a aspect of "Deathworlder" out there? Or would we need to look for it?
2. With the most widely known deathworlder out there beeing Catachan would it gravitate to them? Or would it be to divided to belong more to a single planet?
3. Since the Emperor managed to to bind his aspect would it be theoretical possible that we bind the aspect of "Deathworlder" to Avernites? I am aware that the most likely chance is extremly small but we must always searh for ways to make Avernites more BS.
4. Would you even allow such a project or would it be to BS?
1. maybe, you would nbeed to look
2. unknown
3. no, the Emperor managed to bind several archtypes he had ties to each to a single soul. tying one archtype to a popualtion would be far harder, and givent aht the Emperors feat was a marvel from him...
4. ask me once you have better warp power skills and knowledge then the Emperor

Cool.

@Durin
1 Is worship of the Aetheric Concordat considered heretical by the Trust?
2 Have the Quartok started worshipping a god/gods? (As I recall they used to worship their now destroyed homeworld.)
3 Space Ponies or Wildlife Ponies?
1. yes
2. no they have not
@Durin
1. How likely is it that the chaos gods, know, understand and can play the laws of the warp?

EH?
unknowable
@Durin, now that the gods have been rolled for, are these two omakes now canon?
the second is

@Durin 1 how many battle fillers does Bloodbusta have?
2 does ridicully think he can steer the orks into the task force?
3 how much of the local chaos forces have been destroyed?
4 how much of the tryanids have been destroyed?
5 has Atlas been destroyed yet?

@Durin Now that my pet project god of justice and his species are dead/belong to Nurgle, could I omake a daemon prince who ascended into/stole one/some of his domains?

1.currently? mid 60s
2. he will have a chance
3. hard to say but between a quarter and a half of the mobile forces
4. wait for next turn
5. no, it will be hit next wave

stole yes. It would have to be either undivided or nurgl

So the Trust, at the moment, faces three potential distinct existential threats:

The Orks
Waaagh Bloodbusta has continued to take swathes of The More'lumix's Realm, despite the best efforts of both her anointed heir and temporary allies. Over the last five years another fifty-four worlds have fallen, for a total of ninety-nine. This is over a fifth of one of the more powerful regional powers conquered within fifteen years, and a worrying sign of how deadly the Orks can be. Even more worrying is how rapidly the rate of advance is increasing, if things continue at this rate The More'lumix's Realm will be conquered within a decade.
Suddenly Abaddon
High Grandmaster Ridcully recently spent some time divining the battleplans of the Black Imperium and passing the information contained within on to the Eldar. It seems that the Black Imperium has determined exactly how much of a threat the Tyranids are, and that Abbadon has called a Black Crusade to utterly exterminate them. From what Ridcully could see the forces of Chaos have managed to locate every Tyranid Hive Fleet is the galaxy, and are working to destroy all of those within their area of influence. Actually he saw some mention of Hive Fleet Grábakr in the Black Imperium's plans and there is a chance that a chaotic task force will be sent to destroy it within the next half century. Given that this would include having a major task force from the Black Imperium in the vicinity of the Imperial Trust you can only hope that they are delayed until after it is destroyed, or that the Eldar manage to divert them.
And of course, the Nids
Over the last few years you have been working to combat Hive Fleet Grábakr in Sub-Sector Pennsylvania within Amir-Ka. This has been little better then a disaster, with your fleet suffering major casualties to the Tyranids who are adapting for your tactics, and then being engaged by fleets from Amir-Ka while the ships were still damaged. While you have managed to keep the core of your fleet alive, over two thirds of the ships that started off in your command have either been destroyed or forced to return to your shipyards due to damage. On the upside you did destroy another two Splinter Fleets.

The Eldar must be wondering how much Tzeentch hates us (a lot). In my opinion what should happen is that the Chaos Task Force, Orks and Tyranids all meet together in glorious combat that the Trust somehow and magically avoids. Ideally the survivors are few and far in between.

This is probably... ...unlikely... but if there is was ever an Eldar specialty this would be it (Major Favor). In such an event we might simply switch gears from stopping the Nids to letting them eat everything, through the Orks at the Nids and wait for the Black Imperium Task force to arrive and hopefully solve our created clusterfuck in a suitable manner.

Hey, have we talked to the Ultramarines about this whole, 'heal Guilliman' plan?

I'd hate to go to a bunch of effort, then have them be so surprised that they delay until after Saint Lin dies.

next Helheim Void Command actions we should focus on building more ships while we repiar those damaged ones there are just to many threats and we are losing ships to fast, but at least Waaagh Bloodbusta has made sure that the local Chaos forces wont be doing anything for a while as More'lumix has pull in Princedom of Assour and a lot of Assorted Chaos and Minor Chaos Realms even Amir-Ka might have pull some of them to help against the tyranids

We have one construction option and that is filled repairing ships. We need to continue our expansion of shipyards or consider building more defenses. Maybe consider building the minefield since we may have forces from the Imperium coming to the region.

Realistically we are not fighting the Black Imperium. If it looks like they are going in our direction we have to lay down the Honorbound favor and wait for the Eldar to save us.

@Durin
1. Could we spend an Eldar favor to deflect the forces of the Black Imperium? (Mess with their paperwork, lead them astray, ruin their supply depots, assassinate their leader at a terrible moment, something else deflecting)
2. What level of favor?
3. Have we talked with the Ultramarines about the plan to heal Guilliman?
4. Could it be a problem if we don't bring it up in advance?

We have a high chance of being attacked if the region suddenly get flooded with chaos forces. Our technology alone would be worth it. Something to remember is that the Eldar Have no forces to spare right now and for the next few decades. We need to plan for the worst case scenario.

We need to deflect them in advance. Even if no combat forces are available the Eldar might have some infiltration forces available.

In that case we die or hope Avernus can bail us out, the difference in scale between that fleet and our military is so vast as to make any improvements we might make insignificant.

About the only way I could see us even having the slightest chance would be mass suicidal assassinations of the command structure with heroes. Our forces are a rounding error to the Black Imperium's task force

well, they might not show up for awhile. And so long as they fight the tyranids first, we might have a chance.
