I'm going to say nay on the Primordial Sea if the risks are as bad as indicated. I don't see it as worth the risk to put the entire quest on track for a bad end on a single dice roll.

If we want to try for Transcendence, we could try the action of cleansing a Daemon World that will come up. That's a worthy feat for it.

why not the Well of Eternity? Its supposed to be about the same difficulty, with similar risk of Lin dying, but without any risk of the game ending.

The quest is coming to a close anyway, so it seems much more satisfying to roll the dice and possibly go out with a bang.

Sure there's going to be a sequel, but will that even be following Avernus?

Though it's not really risking the whole quest on a single dice roll anyways. It's supposed to be a bad end threatening result, not something we can't possibly beat.

Huh we've truly been lucky with Lin, if he's able to research the end game boss. I am in favor of waiting till the absolute last min and doing chaos frequencies, and building bonus's.
Narratively speaking, having Lin go on One Last Quest at the very end of his life is something to consider. Like an old king riding out one last time, even if it means his last breath. It'll be something to behold, I'd say, even if he dies then.

So I think we should at least research the Law of Narratives.

Didn't Durin specifically say that it wouldn't cause a bad end with a failure? So its not nearly as risky?
He said that it'll trigger the potential for a bad end. As in, the road traveled may lead to a bad end, but it's not 100% certain.

Unless I'm reading the numbers wrong, we don't have enough advanced material for this. The heltroopers on their own take up 1 billion advanced material. Which is very nearly our entire production plus reserves, in addition to that expanding the pdf costs another 440,000,000 which puts us about half again in the red from our reserves and 2 years worth in the red of our production. So... I just don't think this is at all possible unless we are buying way more advanced material and I'm missing that in your plan somewhere? Also, who are the Dragon people?

I was talking about the Well of Eternity, not the Primordial Sea. So can you clarify which you meant with that response?

Shit you right will do the Hellguard expansion next turn than.. The dragon's around Tarascon that have Dragonborn words.

Regardless of whether we decide to take the Primordial Sea action in the end, it would still make sense to prepare for it and get help from anyone who might be able to offer it. Doing so will allow us to reevaluate the risks and rewards of doing so at a later date.

At the same time, we should keep going with safe research options, so that we can learn useful stuff and potentially get Lin some more stat increases. Doing so will also help to increase the chance of success if we study the Primordial Sea, and might mean that Lin can become Transcendent and thus allow us to leave the Primordial Sea action for a later date.

I can think of at least one reason why we should not. Suggesting that we might mess with something so dangerous could damage our relations to our allies.

-Y3: Ship Design Investigation (Psychic Cannon Battleship)
Psychic cannons will be specialist weapons, with the whole ship build around them to protect and transport them. Battleships are massive, expensive, very hard to ward, and a complete overkill, as we do not want PC ships fighting in the line of battle, they are elite specialist snipers. All those weapons a battleship bears, useless. It would also slow the ship down a lot.

Y2: Request ( Grey Knights ask if they can help or have something to help of we do the Primordial Sea)
Really not sure why the GK would have anything on something so dangerous and tangential to Chaos hunting, much less why the small group that we have would know it.

The psyker cannon is the size of a nova canno and requires a lot of power. That is why it has to be put on a battleship.

We know about the Grey knights that are here in the Trust. We know they are good with psyker stuff and have wards.

does it actually require a battleship? Or could a grand cruiser do it? Because we can't build battleships but I think we can do the larger cruisers.
