@Durin:
1) Can we buy advanced Warp travel technologies & techniques from the Eldar, preferably Eldar-grade?
2) How much Favour will it cost?
3) Will this piss off the Conservatives or alienate the newer Progressives?
4) Are the Eldar willing to teach us the principles behind these technologies?

1. yes
2. major
3. it would
4. they are. in fact they refuse to give them to you until you understand the principles. They have a belief that anyone using Warp tech should know what they are doing with it

[] Spend Eldar Minor Favour for Strike Force ( try to Kill turoq, the admech leaderships, Turoq, any lieutenants they can, Turoq, and Turoq at the time they think would casue the most confusion among there forces.)

@Enjou what do you think of this as the minor favor?

Ok I am going to use enjou plan and do two plans one with the strike force and one with the warhost.

[X] Spend Eldar Minor Favour for Strike Force

Killing the enemy leadership has knock on effects - Turoq dying would result in his treacherous lieutenants turning on one another as they vie for power, and the usual bullshit that happens when your chain of command is based primarily on "I am have killed off all who dared to oppose my leadership".

Posting this one first so the tally program doesn't count it as part of the below plan...

I basically cribbed @agumentic's plan for this. Credit goes to him.

Why?

She came out to deal with Turoq and her presence turns any strike attempt against him into a near certain success.

To add things you may have missed in discord, striking the leadership of all the raids will reduce the chance of a complete kill on Turoq though the strike force will follow up on him later. Areatha adds back and expands on the chance of success. In addition putting her with the strike group means she will be on asgard and muspelheim anyway.

@Enjou you do not have Areatha anywhere is she going to the colonies?
Again discord. If she is left unassigned she goes to the Eldar.

If no Eldar she goes after Turoq, as that is the reason she left Avernus in the first place.

This is designed to minimize our losses, maximize the political impact of Eldar assistance, and offer a good chance at killing Turoq anyway.

Not to mention that it seems like the worst possible environment for Titans to be fighting in. Like, seriously. Confined spaces and all that.
Well. certainly the worst for their intended purpose.

Great if you want to wreak a lot of stuff and don't care about collateral damage.

Kinda shitty if you want to take things intact.

But, yeah conventional fighting on a Nomad city or one of their orbital ones should be a ****ing nightmare, from venting areas, locking doors and generally turning them into death traps.

I just want to know what the secret weapon that Surt is hiding is. I do not think it is the AI.
Probably a heat based weapon. Remember they were set up originally as a research colony studing it and their Thane's "Engineering" division has been doing a lot of shit for a long time.

I wonder how many colonies we are going to lose.

Thinking back to Headcrusha's invasion- I am now slightly scared of all the innovative technological wonders the Dark Mechanicus will unleash upon us.
I mean it outside the sheer dakka they'll field. Unlike our conservatives, they probably have a number of fun pet projects just lying around.

And now I wonder- is chaos techbane a possibility?
High Grandmaster Ridcully tells you that it would probably be possible to find the counter-frequency to some of the main themes of the Chaos Gods but that this efforts would require a dangerous amount of delving into the powers of Chaos, which is the main cause of corruption among Sanctioned Psykers.
It is, and was, possible. Just very dangerous. Hmmm...

@Durin
1. Would Lin's research on nature of chaos decrease the danger of corruption from researching chaos frequencies?
2. Would Lin's discoveries increase the chance of success for this kind of research?
3. Is Ridcully capable of safely researching this topic, given his Paragon Piety and Blessing of Isha?
