If the professor wins, they'll be the first Avernite civilian on the council. The fact they are the only civilian to qualify...
Dalve Sepet's stats
Age: 370, rejuved to 25
Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan would like to note that this is the skills and traits that Commissar Dalve Sepet want him to think that he possess, rather then what he actually does.
M:18+8=26 (+34 martial bonus)- Commissar Sepet is every bit as skilled a commander as Colonel Brindos, though he has not commanded any forces outside of the Phase-Tigers.
I: 17+37=54+- Commissar Sepet is the best stealth expert on Avernus by a large margin, and seems to be equally skilled at hiding aspects of himself.
A:12+7=19- Commissar Sepet is a talented administrator who can easily handle what administrative tasks his position requires of him.
L:17+13=30- Commissar Sepet is highly educated in a wide range of topics, both relevant to his duties and otherwise.
P:21+26=47- Commissar Sepet has an incredible will, strong enough to resist even determiend mental probing without flinching.
D:14+18=32- Commissar Sepet is a charismatic man, who always seems to know how to best appeal to those that he is talking to.
C:24+28=52- Commissar Sepet is one of the greatest warriors on Avernus, with only the Oakhearts being his better. Unlike most of those who reach his pinnacle of skill he seems to e equally comfortable at all ranges, using rifle, pistol and blade with equivalent skill.
What if Delve Sepet is Professor Antoni Kovac? 370 years is enough time to develop a secret identity focused on education, health, and be well respected, as a backdoor to enter the palace security. Or as a self imposed challenge.
Here is an omake based on the idea Professor Antoni Kovac is an identity Sepet has cultivated.
What if Professor Antoni Kovac is Commissar Dalve Sepet?
Dalve Sepet eyed the document with a great deal of skepticism. The last time he had come in for teaching work was fifty-four years ago. What a disaster, the class was surprised at the hike through Avernus's woods he made them do. Surprised that a teacher would drag them out to face the real world without any precautions, or were they surprised that the board review had confirmed that field trips are mandatory parts of the Avernite learning curriculum? The Avernus Board of Education was usually efficient to notice when their teachers died of natural causes, or could be infiltrators.
Dalve Sepet was not an infiltrator, or dead of natural causes. Dalve Sepet is a member of the Phase Tigers, a most respected regiment among the Avernus Elite. In his younger days he would occasionally test the defenses of the Governor's palace. In and out in under 5 hours back then. Now, Dalve Sepet can get in and out in under 1 minute. Far too easy on the best of days, which is why he handicapped himself in the early days. One way he handicapped himself, was to enter the Palace under a forged psdeo-identity.
Professor Antoni Kovac, a born and bred Avernite, far too good to be a real person. Should never have stood up against scrutiny. Never have been allowed to remain a teacher by never attending his own scheduled, paid for, lessons. Most of all, the paperwork shouldn't have iron clad contract approval for a thousand years by the Avernite Administration.
Then Mittens recently arrived to him with a message from the Avernus Board of Education to Professor Antoni Kovac, congratulating the good Professor on the nomination to become the Governor's aid.
"This is your fault," Sepet stared into the Phase-Tiger.
"Mrowwww?" tiger eyes stared back into the abyss. Mittens licked his fur.
"My class was going great until you showed up. Gave Antoni too much popularity to have you personally guard the one class he ever taught. The humans were better than you anyway. I could hear you breathing, what cat doesn't know violet bark from their ash bark?" Sepet intensified his stare into the eyes of Mittens.
"Meow," apologized Mittens.
"Worse, you've been doing Antoni's paperwork, cause I haven't. How else could I possibly have been cleared for teaching duty?"
"Mreow."
Sepet blinked at Mittens answer. The fact that the administration knew he really is Antoni, and that Antoni had written a few well-repected papers that were still treasured today. Heavily contributed to the second document Mittens pulled out from behind a carniflower. This one addressed for Commisar Dalve Sepet, stating the Administratum is understanding that if he wants to retire from the Phase Tigers to fully relax from a stressful infiltration test mission he just needs to sign.
"Meeeeeow," Mittens nodded in perfect understanding that sometimes an human takes on too much to do. Sepet would find it impossible to pull two jobs at the same time under different identitiy's. Xavier was going to owe Mittens an ocean of meat for this bet.
"Tell the Oakhearts, and the rest whom gambled. Challenge accepted," Antoni and Sepet glared into the eyes of the Phase-Tiger named Mittens.
