The Alternative action here would be to investigate Tzeentch, which does have merit.
Yes, please do Tzeentch. Tzeentch is the most influential of the Chaos Gods in our part of space, we're being attacked by a major Tzeentchian policy, and Tzeentch's forces have targeted Avernus itself on numerous very significant occasions, such as the Changeling's fight with Jane, Lord Pedobear's child-snatching activities, and the Lord of Change who possessed that Alpha Plus. We should definitely take the action that has potential to let us better fight his agents.

Sorcery maybe ? If he isn't a psyker, we might have discovered a hard to recreate method of using sorcery.
Sorcery is the most powerful known use of the Warp available to humans and by far the most dangerous. At is core it involves acquiring the assistance of Warp entities to magnify the effect of your powers, and unlike the common disciplines it does not require any innate power to use. Sorcery can either be used to amplify the uses powers with other forms of Warpcraft or for several unique effects. Among these unique effects is boosting the sorcerers psychic powers, even to the point of making non-psykers into psykers. Given the nature of most Warp Entities it is considered heretical in the Imperial Trust, and a death sentence to any who use it.

What Jacob can do looks more like the innate psychic abilities of Avernite wildlife to me. Basically a single power or narrow group of powers he can use instinctively.

1. Does Jacob get an elongated life span like an astartes as well, or is he just back to normal human levels?
2. Will he start to decrease his physical age again?

@Durin
one that have made him a target of an even greater number of Chaos Lords of all types eager to steal his secrets.
1. How have they been finding out about his studies?

can channel Warp power into attacks
2. How does this work exactly? For example can he set his sword on fire, or channel divination magic into it?
3. While creating an equivalent to Jacob's circumstances is impossible except for Lulana, could it be theoretically possible to use Alkhestry to perform a lesser process on psykers? For example we have a delta and redirect their power inwards and through their bodies? Or if they were born with souls naturally this large would this kill them/this is too complex an alteration of the relationship psykers have with their powers to be possible at the moment?
4. Are we supposed to select actions for Tranth (since the options are there) I can't tell, as last time the options for him were all gone due to Rokslide. I'm probably being dumb and not realising that his action slot is locked or something.
5. Is Lin personally going as a representative to the Primarchs or is that too risky?

1. unknown but some types of knowledge leaves traces...
2. more on the set sword on fire end of things
3. no
4. yes

Well, Avernus and the Avernite monsters will go to battle once again! Freaking raiding attacks. There is almost no way for us to defend other than either fortifying everywhere, or grinding them to dust. Hope our man Ridicully continues with his Ridicullous streak and give us enough rope to hang them with.

@Durin

1: All this knowledge of Gods and the Warp that Lin is learning is this something that the Eldar would consider valuable?
1a: Enough to give us access to the Black library of Chaos
1b: Enough for Cegorach to try and save Lin?

Already asked they're above us still. Ynnead is testament to that.

Alison I'm pretty sure Lin said he'd refuse eldar treatment, but that maybe because neither of their gods can heal him only remove the power.

Hm, here's a thought. Do you think that maybe all those Education Reviews at once might work Fred towards a Trait or Learning increase?

@Durin
1 how is our forces veterans status looking?
2 would tithing the Hellguard again so soon effect our defenses on planet severely?
3 how long does it take for the PDF to get to Hellguard experience levels?
4 will the DC be lower going to Tarascon? S'il vous plait.

  1. Will we need to use an action when Lin goes to visit Vulkan or is the visit going to so short it won't effect turn actions?
  2. Last turn Maximal said he wanted to figure out how to discover the laser implants he made with his scanners. Is this going to be an action or a background thing?
  3. Do we believe that having Aria doing the blank assistance will provide better results given what we figured out of her genetics?
  4. How bad is our spy situation, like is there a worry that since Jane is too busy to spy hunt that there will be issues?

1a. no, definitely not
1b. he can't, not without doing something that Lin would not want done to him. you are getting close to one of my annoyance buttons

Do you have a quote on that? Because now that we've got actual communications with the Eldar it seems kind of appealing to see if the Eldar gods would fix Lin. Since they're just about the only divinities around that aren't completely evil.

Removing his power so that he can live seems a reasonable enough option to me. Even without his Last Saint powers he's still a powerful unifying figure in our nation.

@Durin, will Lin be able to finish a five-year action before the meeting starts? It'd be a shame for him to miss out on it because he was busy at the time.

Well Durin just said it

1b. he can't, not without doing something that Lin would not want done to him. you are getting close to one of my annoyance buttons
But here's where the stuff can only be done by specific gods.
The only ways to cure it from what she can tell is either gain the assistance of someone able to reinforce the strength of his soul, which most gods can not achieve, or to have someone able to conduct spiritual surgery remove the power from his soul, which again is mostly limited to gods.
Can't find the original quote, but as I recall Lin refuses point blank to have the power removed from him.

It is literally his life, the last living remnant of his God and it'll let him die a peaceful, true death, he's allowed to be selfish.

Basically unless the Eldar can free Isha (they tried they didn't succeed), or Vulkan can turn his crafting mastery to divine level soul surgery so he can reinforce Lin's soul or something, Lin's dying end of story.

@Durin
1. this about sum it up?
2. Speaking of the meeting, do the Eldar have an ETA for when that'll all be ready or is it too variable depending on how stubborn the participants are. In general would they say 10-20 years?

1. Could you add in the Part 3 of Titan Designing to Explorator, whatever it is?
2. Will our reputation be hurt if we don't take Deployment?
3. Can we take Personal Attention: Deploy Fleet?
4. Can we take over Sarnow's current actions with our Personal Attention?
5. I think our Education Bonus should 301%, we took Educational Review at some point in the past.
