Did @Durin say that's allowed? I thought giving human tech to xenos will cause a shitstorm no matter how low tech it is.
Yep
1. What do the admech think about trading technology up to tech level... well the Formics are at level 1 which is iron age, so level 1.5ish. Kinda the level humanity had around the renaissance period. They'd have guns and cannons, but it wouldn't be modern day stuff. Still dangerous I suppose, but in my RP experience usually the admech are usually portrayed as not caring about stuff that low tech.
There would be a few issues, it is stil human tech, but not many
There's a certain level where most admech just stop giving a ****, save for the most conservative who hate our guts already as a matter of course.

one problem is that most of that level tech does not work underwater
"We have deployed a weapon bought from the humans above the sea."

"FIRE THE CANNON!!!"

Nothing happens cause the powder is wet.

"We got ripped off."

Still can't wait to get all the runes and health potions.

@Durin
1. Assuming we accept her offer is Areatha willing to
A. Let us examine her to see if we understand what genetic nonsense they put in her body during the DAoT?
B. Let us examine her to get her character sheet?

Death Bats
Species Name: Camazotz

Name in Avernite: Death Bats.

As the Avernite Bushmasters start getting closer to the tropics and them the equator, the quantity of new and dangerous species starts creeping up. Except that for the first time the signals of a new species that even the Siren's refused to give the name made alarms blare in the heads of the explorer.

The actual reason is simple, if there's is one species that preys on Sirens, these are the Death Bats, or as they prefer to call themselves, Camazotz, as was later discovered when a Siren shouted the name of creatures before being disemboweled.

From what the exploration team could gather there are three main species of Camazotz, which by what can be inferred, is the name of only the giant humanoid-like bats who feed solely and only of Psyker active species, the other species of Giant Humanoid Bats are broadly known as "leaf-noses". These three species are as Camazotz (the basal one), Hairy Legged Camazotz (who have a double leafed nose and don't have a prominent tail like the basal one), and the species known as White Winged Camazotz, similar to basal one, but with white wings.

The difference are easy to spot, a Camazotz is a hulking monstrosity made of skin and flesh, who moves on land on a quadrupedal gait, like a gallop, their long neck mane made of brown fur, and with big canines made to pierce and hold their victim in place as the saliva makes warp energy "leak" into their mouth together with the blood. The Hairy Legged one as the name suggest have more fur on the legs, double leafed noses and no visible tail, this is because their means of locomotion on land is more bipedal than the common Camazotz, and finally the White Winged one, who have clay-colored, light brown or dark cinnamon fur, and their wings are totally white.

According to the Sirens, what's really terrifying in them is that their specialization on eating Psyker active species turned in the end giving them "unfair" tools against their prey. A auspicious ability for tracking Psyker's based on sensors on their noses, giving them something similar to Witchsight.

A saliva that when spit at prey makes the victim lose the control of their powers leaving them prone, drugged and making the warp energy leak from the prey body, and last but not least, Warpfire, a truly raw, ancient and specialized type of warp power, who "consumes" all the energy around it, leaving a Psyker vulnerable without warp energy for use by himself.

AN: Camazotz is a Mayan Bat God, who was responsible to giving humans fire, but that asked for continuous human sacrifices so that humanity could use it.

AN²: Camazotz means Death Bat.

Hah! Yeah, this was definitely written by an Avernite.

*Blink Spiders

That was definitely the intent. I had another idea for a spider living out in the deserts of Duat that turned everything within its territory into crystalline formations, but I figured that Avernus wouldn't approve of that level of wanton environmental fuckery.

Also, fixed.

*Joking*The good news is that's a relatively harmless Data-Daemon, forced to make do with base mischief, so as long as we don't give it power over any important documents, we should be fine.

I mean if you weren't joking things would go from moderately pleasant to blood cult on this planet the moment that little bastard found the youtube comments.

I don't want to think what'd happen if it found 4chan.

Probably Industrial.
Not really.

Tech level 2 is 19th century level 3 is 20th century so we can certainly give them industry. At least by a 21st century perspective, dunno what the Trust considers proper industry.

Edit: Basically if I were playing Stellaris we'd certainly get them to the point where they'd make basic factories, which are industrial.

If I were a betting man I'd say we start running into problems around tech level 4 which is when we interplanatary colonies become a possibility.

Possibly less of a problem for Avernus as all the people have made it very clear they have no interest in leaving save to beat chaos and even then only temporarily.

@Durin, there's a bit of confusion regarding the effects of Saint Lin's Aura of Truth on the Discord. Can you clarify on its powers? The description says "none may doubt his words", implying that if he told you the sky was blue, you could not doubt that the sky was blue. On the other hand, there's the interpretation that the effect is just "people believe that he believes that what he says is true".

It is the second version. As a note it also forces him to tell the truth as he knows it

@Durin, it'll be some time until the next warboss emerges, but one will eventually emerge, so is it possible to - way in advance - have Ridcully set up a plan where the future ork warboss goes after Valinor instead of the Trust?
