I think last time we got someone with such a good start we could train her immediatly, that was Tamia.
Nope, we got her as an elite, but it was the Pink Skies that pushed her to become a Heroic candidate.

Of course Durin doesn't want more actions for that category, so she'd have to be trained into a field-leader for the battle-psykers or a crafter or some other function that doesn't get extra-actions.
She could just provide a flat bonus as well.

or we could sacrifice Tamia to start the branch that Vanaheim wanted but we didn't have the heroic to spare to found it
Neither, Tamia is our best researcher and we kinda need her to research frequencies and song weaving.

@Durin, could this be an Administratum project? It might not solve all the issues but it should make evacuation drastically easier. It's not something we'll make much use of but the kind of situation where evacuation is necessary is one where we want to minimise complications.
Evacuation protocols does sound like a good idea.

Diplomatic Relations (Alfheim)- A major reason why diplomatic offices exist is to keep relations strong between allies. Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan suggests spending some time and effort trying to improve Avernus' standing with the other leaders of the Nine Worlds.

Time: 1 year

@Durin was he last one of these supposed to be a success?

Turn Eighty-Nine Results
One Hundred and Seventy-five years since the Founding of Avernus
The sound of progress.

Major-General Viktor Mineyev, the commander of the Black Irons and one of the few founding members to be still alive. Major-General Mineyev is a grim, fatalistic man who seeks to expunge his sins by dying in battle, and has somehow survived over a hundred years on the front lines with this attitude.
Finest traditions of the dwarf Slayer Cult.
The worst Slayers are the ones with the most impressive kill-sheet.

dodge even area attacks
Improved Evasion for the win.

Alpha Psyker Ophelia has recently passed the trials
Gentlemen, we now have (arguably) the second most powerful human psyker to have ever lived.

Damn, even more Psykers dissapeared.
We have to keep investigating how that happens before we get them back as Chaos-Sorcerers leading an army against us.
You know, Avernus does have an intelligent species that can manipulate warp rifts. Perhaps we should (finally) get round to talking to the Sphinxes. They may well know what is happening to those psykers and possible be able to do something about it.

Improved Evasion for the win.
Actually I think we might have given them Iron Man Armour :).

Gentlemen, we now have (arguably) the second most powerful human psyker to have ever lived.
First being Malcador THE HERO

Still no, while they are rare Alpha + humans were being born in the 41st Mellenium.

There was an Alpha Plus Psyker that mind controlled a world when it was still a fetus.
Kinda like that one.

Sure its more once a millennium spread over the entire imperium and they probably destroyed everything in a sub-sector (at best), but they were still being born.

Pray we do not have one for a few thousand years yet and Ridcully is there to notice it or the Deep Ones decide to intervene on our behalf.

@Durin

1. Can you give a benchmark of what Ophelia is capable of doing with Pyromancy?
2. How does she compare to Xavier?

Not @Durin of course, but she's probably not as skilled from guessing.

She might be more powerful, but Xavier's a master Pyromancer and then has the bonuses granted to it by the Ash Hound and Destruction Incarnate traits, both of which boost his pyromancy.

Im pretty sure i voted for a plan wich had a forge upgrade in there aswell and it was forgotten or the plan got edited?

@Durin and others a few questions from the results of this update .

1) New navy person statsheet please - his combat and admin stats mainly tough and does he have great skills or genius level?
2) What career syr gonna do now?
3) Now that byzantium basics are done and we dont send anymore colonists i guess (the low council seat)
4) We can build a embassy now i imagine there ?
5) Whats the max range now that choirs are done ?
6) We can trade with byantium now aswell?
7) Now that most of the basics are done will space marine number growth start to rise ?
8) And the number of space marines at the moment ? I just imagine we have had more growth the last few turns.

First rude, second we do an action for that.

2) What career syr gonna do now?
What ever we pick.

4) We can build a embassy now i imagine there ?
If he decides to give us the action yes.

5) Whats the max range now that choirs are done ?
Read the update, the second Astropath adds on half his range the one after that 1/3rd and so on.

6) We can trade with byantium now aswell?
Wait for the High Council, if we can trade it'll be there.

8) And the number of space marines at the moment ? I just imagine we have had more growth the last few turns.
Guessing here, maybe 1 or 2 extra hundred, or they could be focusing on the first batch to make sure they're good and they have good help before they expand again.

@Durin
Preliminary Examination (Illusory Pine) – There are many different unusual species on Avernus and Magos Biologis Saren wishes to examine all of them. However, he is willing to let you choose what he examines next.

Time: 1 year.
Chance of Success: unknown.

Cost: 40,500 Thrones, 2,025 Material, 2,025 Metal, 810 Promethium.
Reward: Discover more about selected species, including whether or not it is possible to tame or weaponize it, and how warp-tainted it is.

year three d100=50+17(learning)+60(buildings)+20(scanner)+10(Rune Priests)-20(ocean) =137: Success

Magos Biologis Maximal spent a year examining the Illusory Pine of Lindon. He found that the illusions they project are entirely mental and that someone who fails to resist or see though them will see and hear as if the landscape was different. Interestingly enough the Illusory Pine does not seem to use this power either aggressive or defensibly, and in fact seems to be totally mindless. It is possible that with enough study of the Illusory Pine Magos Biologis Maximal will figure out a way to control what it projects, which could make them a useful tool in the right circumstances. They are also one of the few Avernite lifeforms that may be safe to take offworld.
I'm bout 90% sure the pines are not under water (its Avernus who knows), but I think you may have copied the roll of the Hellfire corral to this one as well.

There seems to be an error in void command:
Void Command
SLOT A - Year 1
-Y1: Construct: Repair
SLOT B - Year 5
-Y5: Lessons Learned: Planetary Assault
SLOT C - Year 4 (opens when new admiral selected has a year to reorg)
-Y4: Expand Shipyards: Large
There is an 'Expedite' on Repair that is not planed in year 1.

Enjou already pinged you on that but the general mechanicus action starting year 1 with 'Expedite' is missing.
AdMech
[SNIP]
SLOT C - Year 1 (Fabricator General)
-Y1: Forge-Cathedral: Nechtan
-- EXPEDITE YEAR 1
SLOT D - Year 3 (Free)
-Y3: Forge-Cathedral: Mag Mell
-- EXPEDITE YEAR 3

Yeah we need to look into that as missing psykers make me nervous.

Also guys, next turn we should start on wards against psykers for the navy, and we need to stick Lin with maybe 7 actions to try and eliminate the taint in the navy.

A very satisfying update.

Between the success with Ophelia, the much more useful Shield-Breaker Rounds and the much more agile Raider Armor.

Some things to note:

Chapter Master Julius has been convinced that stooping to converse with a human on a regular basis is a decent idea, now he expects Rotbart to converse with him fairly often.

Frederick considers the lvl 7 defenses around the Pysker cities to be "barely sufficient" so even if we can't afford upgrading all of our cities lvl 8 defenses (for now), we should upgrade the four of them to that level.

Elite Phase Tiger companies + Shield Breaker rounds = Another great unit for headhunting enemy officers.

Naval Corruption: I was surprised to find out that we have entire ship crews falling to chaos. That is very concerning (especially when its on the damn stealth frigate), we need Lin to focus on this action completely for the next 5 years.

Ophelia is great at crafting (better at pyromancy, but still): If she hits the same tier as Tamia and Xavier, then Durin may plan to make her the Crafting specialist, which would make his job easier if we were restricted on which options she can do (like with Maximal in the Mechanicus with his focus on Biologis actions).

Ophelia is amazing, Elite Alpha Primaris and even better she would have passed without any of the mentoring. Now... when can we get another Alpha instead of chaos getting their hands on it. I want an Heroic Alpha Diviner to understudy to Ridcully.

I don't think he ever thought humans were inferior, just that most of them really can't hold candles to Astartes.

Hopefully this is the birth of a magical friendship :)

Well I think he means compared to their importance.

Though yeah Lvl 8 maybe nine if we can make it.

With any luck we've quarantined the **** out of the Navy, with all of them being punted off ships and held some where secure.

Actually we still don't have any evidence it wasn't Avernus wanting nom noms (or raw materials for experimentation, remember it did kidnap a Grey Knight maybe it needs them for gene seed implantation.)

Crap that's worse SO MUCH WORSE.

We really do need to garrison some Psyker/witch hunters up there, maybe more priests and some of Jane's spies as well.

IIRC they were level 7, now 8. We could upgrade the defences of all the psyker cities to level 10, if we wanted to, though it'd be pretty expensive.

I estimate it would cost us a total of 82 Bil. Thrones, 80 Bil. Material, 76 Bil. Metal, 17.6 Bil Promethium, 34 Mil AM, 228,000 EM. As well as 80 years worth of adminstration actions.

shit.

Thats what Avernus is doing isnt it? It kidnapped a grey knight and is now kidnapping psykers for geneseed implantation.

While we were learning about the wildlife, the planet was learning about us and now its figured out how to make another form of death dealing wildlife.

Its only a matter of time till our patrols begin meeting wild grey knights.

What do the defense tiers stand for again?

Have we ever reverse engineered that one super biological scanner?

Might be the key to start reverse engineering Grey Knights.
