@durin Isn't the EM consumed in the expansion of the Psyker city to Regional way too excesive?

If you compare the proportion of the other materials consumed (and specially between AM and EM) with the other options and the previous expansions, the EM consumption should be around 3000-6000...

no, containing the Psykers power leakage becomes harder the more of them there are in a region

@durin
1. For eventually reverse engineering the Vortex Grenades, would the "Ordo Mallaus Knowledge +10 to warp related research" we have be added to the bonus for that? Also, would
2. Also, would that apply to any of the psyker research we do? I could see it maybe helping with some of them, though not all.

@durin that other spacey hulk over Aflehiem, has exploration started?
I think our current backlog of research projects is enough.
STC: 5 (1 Collegia eligible)
Arcotech Examine: 16 (3 possibly Collegia eligible)
Survey Graveyard: 5
Detailed Survey: 8
Reverse Engineer: 4
Well Subsytems: 8

And Survey graveyard unlocks more detailed survey options while detailed survey unlocks more reverse engineer and possibly more arcotech to examine. So we have enough to keep Tranth occupied for decades. Not counting the options we will unlock we have 65 turns of research, even at two actions a turn that is still 33 turns. So yeah no need to look for more stuff to research. Also I think we need to keep the free action for Tranth short of an emergency.

I'm more concerned about someone or something making off with the damn thing or the orks repopulating it and launching another attack, or making off with the damn thing. That and the things are made of rawmaterials and ship hulks so shrug, who knows what we might find. An intact STC constructor maybe :D

@durin

What are we currently doing with Fjol IV? Did we place a garrison there? Did Vanaheim start any colonization efforts prior to the warp storm separating us?

From the last war update:

Once the primary Dark Eldar forces are wiped out reinforcements from Vanaheim are shipped in to take over the task of securing Fjol IV with the aid of detachments from Vanaheim's Navy. During this period the front line forces are returned first to Vanaheim, where there are several victory parades and the armies are given some R&R while the senior officers go over the initial after action reports and tally up the casualties. During this time it is decided that Vanaheim, as both the closest of the Nine Worlds and the planet interested in setting up a colony, will be tasked with maintaining control of Fjol IV until the next High Council meeting when its fate will be properly discussed.

So I noticed Britton is down to two projects after the forges finish, one recon armor for the phase tigers and the other is a military version of mobile research. Unless if new options show up I think we can finally get the phase tigers into power armor. Also we have an STC for mobile research with weapons.

@durin is it possible for Britton to help with the STC or other research on his actions since we are almost done with his or will we be getting new options

Even if we I agree with Enjou´s plan in almost all their aspects, I´m don´t think that start with [] Expand Unseen University: Regional City this turn is a good idea, we are going to start repaireing Ships soon which is verey costly, especially in terms of Exotic Material. If we Expand the Unseen University to Regional City , it will destroy our EM stock (15,360 out of 17,568) so better start a second installation.

This plan is exactly the same as Enjou´s but changing the [] Expand Unseen University: Regional City for [] Build New Scholastia Psykana: Lindon (I took Lindon over Azure Islands because of Cthulhu)

[X] Personal Attention: Scout Regiment: Planning

[X] Peace Treaty (Spiky Basalt)
[X] Contact Trolls

[X] Reverse Engineer Component: Advanced Automation
-[X] Double Down: Reverse Engineer Component: Advanced Automation
[X] Survey Ship Graveyard: Cruisers

[X] More Witch Hunter Seminaries
-[X] Expedite: More Witch Hunter Seminaries

[X] Build New Scholastia Psykana: Lindon

[X] Spend Time With Family
[X] Tutor Syr (Administration)

A thing to note is that ship repairs is likely to still be less than our annual income for EM. The most expensive option in terms of EM we could have pursued last turn was building the Ancient Defense Cruisers, which cost 605 EM for seven of them. Repairing them will take less EM per ship since a good deal of things in them are already there.

I was also thinking in the Power Armor options, we have been delaying the Recon Armor for the Phase tiger for quite some time. And it´s surely going to be incredibly useful...

If you switch like this may I suggest expediting the new Scholasica Psykana? It seems a higher priority than the Witch Hunters.

Also, would you consider having Saint Lin tutor Syr?

I wouldn't be too sure. First, because we are repairing instead of building we will be processing a lot more ships.

Additionally, these ships are likely to use a lot more Exotic Material per a ship because of advanced DAoT technology.

Finally, the specialized technology that use the exotic material might be more likely to be broken.

I wouldn't be surprised if the cost in Exotic Materials is much higher.

Sure, but as I've also previously said this is something we're going to have to do eventually no matter what. The other options actually will be close to full by the time they are complete, and then we'll need to expand again one way or another again, and then that one will fill up quickly too.

We found 3,907 psykers last year. The year before that was 2683. The trend regarding psykers is that we're finding more of them each year, especially with minor psykers. The Adeptus Astra Telepathica currently has 24,541 psykers in total. In three years, it'll be full, which means the new location will already have occupants a year or two before it's even finished. In another seven years it'd be full and we'll either have to start the regional city expansion or we'll need to build a third location. That location will likely fill up even faster. Then we'll have to build the regional city anyways. I think it's better to just get it over with and expand to the Regional City now rather than wait to do it later.

I doubt it will be significantly more, but admittedly I could be wrong. Also even if some of the specialized tech is broken, it's unlikely that all of it is broken (otherwise we'd have an impossible time reverse engineering anything) so the cost is very likely to be less.

Worst case we might be able to buy an injection from Svartalfheim. Based on their price last year it would be something on the order of 60 credits to buy 10,000 EM, and they've got a very large stockpile.
