@Enjou, with the omake in mind and the reward we got for it, should we switch one of the actions to the above-battleships?
Even if it's only mostly intact, it's still a powerful ship and would be extremely deadly. So long as its engines, void shields, and at least one array of its weapons are intact, it serves as a giant "I win" button.Even if it's currently mostly intact, we have no means to repair it at the moment.
And the Well of Urd has that much and more, and we can't repair it either. We need to just keep building that infrastructure up.Even if it's only mostly intact, it's still a powerful ship and would be extremely deadly. We do not need to repair the ship to use it. For a ship as intact as that super-battleship is, repairs are not required for it to be battle-worthy. It might not be 100% but it's still perfectly usable.
I doubt that. While I didn't say it in the Omake, that gun-thing was a multi-AU radius effect of "Everything is now absolute zero. EVERYTHING." Which results in physics crying in a corner over how thoroughly it just got raped. Starlight might have been on the edge, but intact is a relative term here.We do not need to repair the ship to use it. Well, hopefully we can find out whether or not "intact" means "in working condition" or not when the turn comes up and we see investigate the "intact" escorts and cruisers. You are confusing "intact" with "in working condition" - remember that this is a graveyard from a battle in which both forces managed to destroy one another. Intact here means the ship is in good condition for a ship that was disabled during a battle, but still in a state to have been disabled.
Also, even if we turn it on we do not want to send a priceless archeotech super-battleship into battle when it's not in suitable condition to fight. It's the same reason we don't want to use the Well of Urd before we've repaired it.
The omake was non-canon. It got us a bonus but the events in it didn't actually happen.I doubt that. True. But I highly doubt the ship is working right now. That would be too easy.Well, hopefully we can find out whether or not "intact" means "in working condition" or not when the turn comes up and we see investigate the "intact" escorts and cruisers.

To be fair, I think that the supercaps should be our next priority after the escorts and LCs. They may have more examples of systems similar enough to the WoU to make the examine actions easier.
I agree 100%, but between the escorts and LCs, we will be up to our head for a long time in repairs, and thats not counting the research we will have to do before we can repair them, nor the fact that we are gonna need to strip all of them of their cogitators and destroy them in order to ensure that we don't accidentally activate a MoI. so we are going to have time, and i think that we should use that time to look at the super caps next turn.Well, right now our priority is to get the intact ships we can actually repair up and running ASAP. At least until Vanaheim's out of the Warp Storm, anyways, as we need to bolster the Imperial Trust Navy with actual ships.

I imagine next turns mechanicus actions to look like this:
Build Greater Forge: All - Locked
Some Biologis action (probably more Kraken)
Reseach how to repair DAoT Escorts
Survey Ship Graveyard: Above Battleships
I liked the omake, there's just one thing:
Psykers don't drink alcohol.
I'm hoping that Ridcully can do some post-cognition on that as well. The Ancients must've done a lot of maintenance and repairs on those things.I'm pretty sure there is going to be more than one thing we need to do to "research how to repair DAoT Escorts" - we'll probably need to take a few actions, and if we can take them at the same time that would be preferable.

it does have the wedge shape of a Star Destroyer, which allows it to focus all of its big guns in the frontal arcDo we have any idea what the 13km long ship looks like?
Because for some reason in my head I'm seeing a Super Star Destroyer.... One of the EU ones that had a mini-deathstar gun on front.

Not necessarily, old Imperial ships have similar shapes as well.Hmmm, that's a rather different design philosophy compared to Imperial Ships. Interesting.

The Retired Classes have the flattened wedge thing going on.
Would they even be that superior to what we have now? The Warp Drives and GFGs of the Dark Age didn't have to handle a post-Slaanesh Warp. The Warp Drives might be faster but they may not be as reliable as the ones we have today.Though intact Warp Drives and Gellar Fields from the DAoT are something we don't currently have examples of, so if we find those we definitely need to study them.
