First turn, nice update! Many interesting options...

A bit of a joke plan here; just offering something different.

EDIT - And now, a bit more seriously... Approval voting.

[X] Plan Family and Politics

Because going after Daemon at this point is going to be like: "Lol no, what do you think you're doing? Know your place, girl."

If we really are doing the Visenya lite knightly warrior queen thing we will need to be good at fighting and dragonriding both.

I'm drawn to either Family and Politics or Small Council, the choice between them essentially being whether we want to prioritize our goal of knighthood over our goal to sit on the Small Council, or vice versa. And of the two, I think I'd rather prioritize knighthood. The barriers to achieving it are higher, matters of faith and taboo and custom; by contrast, all that keeps us from being able to take a seat on the Small Council is mere politics. The more unachievable goal calls for the earlier and greater investment.

(I don't buy the idea that we can have our cake and eat it WRT the Doctrine of Exception by studying up on the Small Council. It seems too clever by half.)

While my main thing is to be a girlkisser. I'm going with this plan as it makes sense.

[X] Plan Family and Politics

the only truly foolproof plan to prevent the Dance is to seduce Otto, have a kid with him, and then marry that kid to one of Alicent's

Picking a fight with Daemon as our very first action seems very ill advised to me, and I thinkwe all know that this is where sticking our nose into his antics will lead to immediately.

And beyond that, we just got named heir at his expense. Snooping will look like us trying to permanently get rid of the competition.

Kay so if Allicent becomes a stepmom we should do an unbreakable wow or something similar and promise not to kill her kids. (Leaving the Wall and the Maesters and exile and suicide missions as our back up)

Harrold Westerling's probably going to give some proper Barristan Selmy speeches on knightly honor as wrapped around service to the Iron Throne and to westerosi patriarchy and such, and I feel like getting into a fight over that, going out flying away from her feelings, and then searching for deeper answers from the histories of her ancestor and from the different perspective of her friend, feels both really IC, and also kinda the perfect way to tee up a concrete game plan on carving out a place personally above and beyond traditional gender hierarchies and achieve knighthood, grappling with a resolution to the social and spiritual aspects that chivalry gatekeeps with now that she has skill at arms.

After all, in Rhaenyra's mother tongue, her people have the same word for prince and for princess, for dragonlord and for dragonlady, so if Rhaenyra cannot be a proper anointed knight in the Andal tradition what's stopping her from being a Valyrian champion, her female sex irrelevant in regards to her gender being dragon and king?

One thing to think of. Any war for the throne is likely going to be won by dragonriders. In canon despite Rhaenyra having five children she still had more dragons then riders, including powerful ones like Silverwing and Vermithor, which is what lead to the dragonseed disaster. Assuming we plan to win an actual war for the throne, it may be prudent to start looking for a suitable husband early with which we can have children who will be old enough to claim the many currently unclaimed dragons the Targs have. Our children can also be expected to be some of the strongest supporters of our own claim to the throne, since they need us to inherit it in order for them to remain on the line of succession.
