[] Plan Defense diplomacy
-[] Diplomacy.
-[] 1 Promethean-class Cruiser (3 Points)
-[] 7 Tiamat-class Destroyer (7 Points)
-[] 5 System Defense Monitor (5 Points)
-[] He reaches out to the Galarien Coalition.

I want to make the Galarien's our friends and with a mutual defense pact, hence why I am focused on Diplomacy and building up our fleet and system monitors.

You could just edit your previous vote. Being in the same page as the update means more people are likely to see and vote it. Though make sure to remove the X's in this post if you do

And same for me. I want to make the galariens either friends or vassals.

Good point. I'll delete it.

Cool. I'll edit my plan to yours in a few moments
I'm also editing my plan so that there are 7 monitors and 5 destroyers instead of 7 Destroyers and 5 monitors. I think we need more Monitors instead since Oshha revealed that there are none right now and we do need to defend the home system.

For now, they have mandatory military service for an indefinite amount of time. Outside of that, they have the same rights and protections as any other Federal citizens in addition to the benefits of being a serving/retired military member.
. Mandatory indefinite military service. Dunno how they could retire unless they get maimed but I suppose that's the point.

Retire only when they can't serve anymore.

I wonder if natural born humans still sign up and if the growing number of vat born are causing a cultural shift.

The Emperor coming to an Empire whose military is made entirely of vatborn that venerate his creation would be far from the strangest polity he'd encountered.

Sounds good, so long as we still have the galarien action I'm cool with it.

Have you pasted your reasoning for the allotment of ships? Giving the reasoning behind your choices can help persuade people into voting for it.

There are natborns still signing up, just not in the numbers needed to meet the needs of the military. Most of those that do sign up are sent down the officer track.

Good to know.

If Drake decides to go with Eldrad or something else, what will happen with the galariens? Will diplomacy continue, just without Drake present or will it go to war as a way to repay the Eldar by giving them an easy and renewable target?

The Federation is capable of performing its own diplomacy and it isn't interested in starting another war whilst most of its military is bogged down on Rachi and it still has other threats to worry about. What the Galariens or Eldar will do is unknown to you.

Drake's mother being a mutant will definitely cause issues once the Emperor arrives. I wonder if he'll order her death. If she hasn't passed away by that time.

It's not like he's against getting rid of the loved ones of the Primarchs if they don't fit his vision or aren't worth saving in his opinion *cough*Angron*cough*

One Gloriana-class Battleship, one Emperor-class Battleship, one Apocalypse-class Battleship, three Promethean-class Cruisers and six Tiamat-class Destroyers. It changes to rapidly for me to keep a threadmark for tracking it as it is something I would need to update with every update.
I'm willing to at least make a basic one, though I'd probably keep bothering you with double-checking to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Anyhow, now that I know...
[X] Balance
-[X] 3 Promethean-class Cruiser (9 Points)
-[X] 6 Tiamat-class Destroyer (1 Points)

We have three battleships, so let's have double the amount of cruisers and then double the number of destroyers that we have cruisers. Not sure if that's a good strategy, but it appeals to the symmetry freak inside of me. Also, I'd hold off on monitors for now. We need a strong, mobile fleet that can decisively solve our imperialistic neighbour problem and then focus on producing dedicated defensive forces. It's not like we're going to be spread out any time soon, considering we have just one planet.

[X] Diplomacy.
[X] He reaches out to the Galarien Coalition.

Drake needs to learn how to flex his diplomatic and charismatic muscles if we don't want to get sodomized by the emperor in twenty wholly unique ways.

Also, Imperial Truth more like Imperial checklist.

The Ship Allotment needs to be in plan form

Though the Diplomacy and Galarien action are good as is.

If he does try to do that:
Eldrad: Sweet, the Emperor is giving me my own personal pet Primarch with a vendetta against him and the Chaos Gods.

The warship vote needs to be done in plan format.

If you want to, go ahead. I don't mind being asked for double-checking.

Now I can't help but think of this being all part of some convoluted Eldrad plot to get exactly that.

Bladus already has AI the Emperor didn't authorize *cough*Dark Angels*cough*, is a place that had preserved a good amount of Dark Age technology while showing that the Imperium isn't the only form of government possible and that psykers can be strong and stable while having knowledge of the 4 Chaos Gods and freedom of religion, has maintained knowledge of how to make Warp Abaci, and if things [hopefully] go well with the galarien we'll establish a precedence and trend to peaceful coexistence and [hopefully] vassalage of alien species with decent military capability towards Bladus and Drake.

All this sounds exactly like the kind of rival polity that the Imperium must crush if they are to maintain the propaganda of manifest destiny. Which would play into Eldrad's hands.

Wow...I did not expect that rambling of mine to get this long lol

My reasoning for the mix of classes is because the GM informed us that our current fleet is
1. Gloriana-class Battleship
1. Emperor-class Battleship
1. Apocalypse-class Battleship
5. Promethean-class Cruisers
6. Tiamat-class Destroyers.

My mix would add
1. Promethean Class Cruiser
5. Tiamat Class Destroyers
7 System Monitors

this would bring the fleet up to 3 Battleships, 6 Promethean class cruisers, 11 Tiamat Class Destroyers and 7 system monitors. and this would give us a nice even mix and bring our numbers up well as starting on building up the home systems defense fleet which we currently have none of since we focused on rebuilding the fleet after that disaster.

This makes sense.

As seen with Mugshredda and past battles, we may have superior specs in terms of ships, but a lack of variety in ship classes and numbers has made battles harder and more costly than it needed to be.

[X] A Balanced Navy
-[X] 10 Tiamat-class Destroyer (10 Points)
-[X] 5 System Defence Monitor (5 Points)

[X] He reaches out to the Galarien Coalition.

[X] Diplomacy

Our Navy is wayyy too skewed towards capital ships, we have more of them than destroyers, which is not good. This plan leaves us with 2 destroyers per capital ship, which is not enough in my mind, but we can rectify this in the next expansion.

Meanwhile, we also start building some system defense monitors to defend our home system.

Pre-plan Navy
3 Battleships
5 Cruisers
6 Destroyers

Post-plan Navy
3 Battleships
5 Cruisers
16 Destroyers
5 Monitors
