In which continuities? There's at least five or six different 'reboots' (another place says 7), so there's probably an entire Scooby-Doo multiverse out there with every plausible possibility. Given its "there is no supernatural, the monster is old white men being super-greedy and following capitalist urges" ethic, it wouldn't even be that hard to set it up, and the original's been around since 1969...

I think the qm said somethign earlier about that being gradual that we dont have to worry about sudden massive job loss. But If we did the action or selves that we would have to worry because It wouldnt be gradual and have time for people to naturally adjust.
