For what it's worth, I do think that Anti-Kaiju submarines are something to look into eventually as a long-term project.
Pile bunker shield! With a giant stake Powered by oversized revolver bullets! That way he won't have to ditch the shield and he gets an armor piercing option!Or perhaps a shield and a shield mount of some kind, so Tacit can carry it on the back Captain America style when not using it.
Tempting. Very tempting. But unfortunately, there's only so much of a reference you can cram into something before it becomes a rip-off.Paint him red and give him shoulder launchers, while you're at it.
I see what you did there.
Gundam and Guncannon? We should totally paint Tacit white and the shooty Jaeger red, though.

We'll have to settle with giving Tacit a Revolving Stake and his future Jaeger partner a giant rifle and enough mobility augments for it to almost fly.

Three rounds later...[X] Corral the Kaiju
-[X] Tanks and Choppers form a firing perimeter around Palisade, tanks round front and Choppers round back.
-[X] Move Tacit Ronin to deploy behind Palisade's position so that Tacit Ronin can move in on the Kaiju out of its direct field of vision or attack.
Alt Eisen and Wessritter, actually. I wasn't kidding when I said I had extensive knowledge of Giant Robot Engineering.
Tacit Ronin runs, circling around towards the kaiju's side. The kaiju doesn't seem to move... until Tacit begins to slow down.
Holy shit, Palisade is shooting bits of the ground at us and is actually capable of doing damage.Tacit Ronin runs, circling around towards the kaiju's side. The kaiju doesn't seem to move... until Tacit begins to slow down.
Suddenly, the stinger tail whips into action! The spike drives into the ground, throwing up a plume of dust!

Squirming, the segmented limb retracts, spike embedded in a chunk of concrete and steel! The tip wriggles, slowly twisting around.

"Eh?" Alec blinks. "What's it doing?"
Noah's eyes narrow, focusing on the tail.
"I'm not sure... What's this guy's dea-"

Noah doesn't even get a chance to finish his question. The segmented tail lashes, pitching the chunk of ceramic directly at Tacit Ronin! The chunk shatters against the jaeger's chest, leaving scratches and small dents in the plating! The jaeger stumbles, caught off guard by the attack-- but there's little beyond cosmetic damage dealt.
Glancing Wound! Tacit takes 0 Strikes!
Your turn.
Distances:
East:
- Artillery intersects with the DP.
- Tanks 37 East of the DP (8 in front of Palisade).
- Hellhounds 50 East of the DP (5 behind Palisade).
- Palisade is 45 East of the DP.
- Tacit is 40 units East of the DP (5 in front of Palisade).
Attacking the tail means a Called Shot. Statistically, your feet would be better for this. They get a really good bonus against Prone opponents (which Palisade is), and they deal more damage overall.

Damn, I'm still working with old ChernoQuest rules here. Called Shots were a flat malus to the To-Hit rolls back then, unless I'm mistaken.Attacking the tail means a Called Shot. Furthermore, you'd have to specify how many points you want to shift the shot by. You can do it a maximum of 2, and the tail's technically grouped with Arms and Hands.
Nah, the way we capture the Kaiju is dealing it a bunch of damage until we start seeing "Kiaju is losing stamina/energy or something like that. Those messages mean the Kaiju is taking penalties due to strikes. Then we grapple it and apply submission holds so Temporary Strikes take it over its limit, which basically knocks it out without actually killing it. Once it's disabled we can try taking off the tail, but that might cause enough trauma to kill it outright.Damn, I'm still working with old ChernoQuest rules here. Welp, I guess I'll leave it to someone who knows better than I do, but a called shot to the tail seems to be necessary to capture the Kaiju so we'll need to do it either way.
You can't Called Shot a Grapple. Grappling Palisade would be Tacit jumping on top of it and essentially wrestling in the dirt with it. Grapple a Prone opponent, you go Prone as well.
