[X] Jagdhund shoots Charybdis at point blank. Full Auto. No Mercy.
[X] Tacit grapples those damn tentacles.
[X] All conventionals get in range of Grae and shoot it. We gotta try to make things easier for Tacit before he gets too close for us to shoot.
As fast as they can, the SDF closes in on Grae, the air force opening up on it with their Arges and micro missiles!

3 Arges Hits! Maximum bonus reached!

The first missiles detonate metres from the kaiju, deflecting off a series of hexagonal planes of superheated air! The barrier flashes as it catches nearly half the wave-- before the remaining warheads overtax it. With a pneumatic thump, the shield blows out, a fire igniting along Grae's spine as the rest of the missiles smash into its body!

Grae takes 2 Strikes!
Area Barrier Shield overloaded! ??? takes 3 Strikes!

As the grey-skinned kaiju staggers, hissing furiously at the air force, one of the scouts notices something; despite its back being practically alight, the kaiju only seems to have responded to the actual missile strikes-- not the overload.

And then Grae's spinal armour shifts, withdrawing its short legs and telson from underneath its shell.

??? Awakens!

It's another kaiju.

As the newly-spotted 'Kraken' chitters and squirms, venting the heat through its back, Grae gives its cables one final pull, closing the remaining distance with Tacit Ronin!

(15)

Grae wins the grapple!
Tacit Ronin is dragged 6 Units towards Grae! Tacit Ronin is Engaged with Grae!
Grae makes an attack of opportunity!

Tacit Ronin nearly falls forwards, leaving itself wide open as Grae strikes out, looking to grab onto the jaeger!

Reaction! (all defensive ones at -1-- and this penalty is already accounted for, obviously)
[ ] Block the Grapple! (1d10+2)
[ ] Parry the Grapple! (1d10+2, able to counter)
[ ] Dodge the Grapple! (1d10+3)
[ ] Accept the Grapple! (begins grapple)

Jagdhund wastes no time, and simply flips her fire selector to full auto. While her sensors may be disrupted, there's no problem blowing the monster apart this close.

Charybdis takes 5 Strikes! +1 Ongoing! -1 Agility! Eyes irritated! Bonus Head Damage! Internal haemorrhage!

The gun's aim is poor, but its effects aren't, blasting holes through Charybdis's shell all the way up its spine. The kaiju squeals, before lashing out with its tail!

Reaction!
[ ] Dodge!
[ ] Block!
[ ] Parry!

Last of all, Waltz breaks into a run, all six spikes launching off of its back!

Waltz detaches all 6 Fangs!

The kaiju's distance from the Perimeter is 38/31 (G/C). Kraken is overlapped with Grae, and has been this entire time.

Tacit is engaged with Grae and Kraken.

Jagdhund is 13/0 from kaiju, Scouts are 10/1 from kaiju (behind Charybdis), Hellhounds are 5/11 from kaiju.

Arty/AKBs are 38/31 from kaiju. Mortars/Tanks are 22/15 from kaiju. Heimdal is 29/22 from kaiju, and can fire next turn. Field Resupply Squadrons retroactively exist everywhere and nowhere until they are required. Their distance cannot be quantified.

Waltz is 18 from Perimeter, 14/20 from kaiju.

I'm going to say:
[x]Tacit - Parry
It's only -1 compared to dodging and we have the chance to damage Grae.
[x]Jadghund - Dodge

[X] Dodge the Grapple! (1d10+3)
[X] Dodge!

I'm not giving away a single bit of our advantage here, especially when the Cat III has a Cat I gattai'd to its back.

They see me rolling.

EDIT: They not hating.
ltmauve threw 1 10-faced dice. Reason: Tacit Total: 8

Against all odds, Tacit dodges, leaving Grae grasping at air. The Jaeger twists, freeing itself from the last few tendrils, and dances to one side.

Once more, Jagdhund steps back, the kaiju's strike failing to land on the jaeger.

Now it's your turn.

We're in melee with both Kaiju. We could switch to the axe and hack away, or we can back away and have everyone shoot Charybdis again.

Actually, disengaging from Charybdis would open it up to bombardment from the conventionals and Waltz, so it might be a better idea.

Edit: forgot opportunity attacks were a thing, so disengaging became much less attractive. Also, @Fyrstorm can we target Kraken directly or do we need to hit Grae's spine to damage it?

[X] Tacit Lightning Strikes Grae.
[X] Jagdhund switches to the Heat Axe and strikes Charybdis.

As Kraken is now mobile, you'll have to attack it directly. However, due to the weird nature of parasite rules, I'll rule that Grae is able to React instead of Kraken. Hitting the Spine will count Kraken as clustered, however.

Vibro-Axe. It uses oscillators to seal the wound, not superheating.

[X] Tacit Lightning Strikes Grae.
[X] Jagdhund switches to the Heat Vibro-Axe and strikes Charybdis.

Oh yes.

Now free, Tacit Ronin can finally hit back. Clasping its arms together, the jaeger extends both Fangblades, and swings!

Grae raises an arm, trying to protect itself-- only for the twinned blades to slice though the limb instead. Unfortunately, the angle is poor, and the overall cut rather substandard. Still, a wound is a wound, and Grae recoils, cradling its right arm.

Grae takes 3 Strikes! +1 Ongoing! -1 HtH, -1 Dex!

Drawing back its lips, the kaiju springs, jaws opened wide-- while the mobile shape on its back twists, a stinger on a flexible tail lashing out!

Reactions!
Grae:

-[ ] Dodge! (1d10+4)
-[ ] Block! (1d10+3)
-[ ] Parry! (1d10+3)
Kraken:

-[ ] Dodge! (1d10+3)
-[ ] Block! (1d10+2)
-[ ] Parry! (1d10+2)

Jagdhund shoves her rifle behind her back, already reaching over the other shoulder. The mechanised storage system works like a charm, taking the gun and offering the axe in quick succession. The jaeger winds up, and slashes up with the weapon, slamming it into the kaiju's chest!

Charybdis takes 1 Strike! Chest Armour destroyed!

The armour plating splinters and shatters, unfortunately robbing the blow of much of its force as it does so. Charybdis looks awful, despite not having many wounds to speak of. Clumsily, the kaiju simply throws its entire body at the autonomous mech, trying to crush her beneath its bulk!

Reaction!
[ ] Meet the Slam! (1d10+2)
[ ] Dodge! (1d10+2)

Waltz, as usual, continues to stomp forwards, the spikes darting through the air around it.

Waltz is 6/12 from kaiju (G/C)

Mortars/Tanks are 18/11 from kaiju. Heimdal has locked down and may fire at either.

Literally nothing else has changed.

Grae:
-[X] Dodge! (1d10+4)
Kraken:

-[X] Dodge! (1d10+3)

What exactly would meeting the slam do?
Edit:
[X] Meet the Slam! (1d10+2)
