Super Robot Quest G

[X] Reserves (Beowulf): Have the Argonauts already on the field with the Beowulf in reserve. This should confuse the Free Brothers and convince them to drip feed some additional reinforcements hopefully.

Reserve is the obvious choice to me.

Let's be honest here though. We always want to loot the Enemies Stuff. Poor Bandit hasn't been a very good Loot Pinata, so obviously his friends need to pay up for him.
Gib Drill Tank Loot.
Well we did take his blaster. And his shield. And his repair technician drone.
And him.
Edit: Also I think we ripped an arm off at some point.

Turning the drill tank into a Gaogaigar gattai component would be really funny and also give the Free Brothers the mech equivalent of heartburn.

We don't need the glider considering pterawing leather does most of the same thing anyways and we know how to manufacture/modify it already.

What I'm wondering about is Delphi's virus package that Galbinus hopes to get on the Belligerent via Bandit. How exactly will that work, and what will the virus do? And are the Free Brothers disorganized enough that they'd let Bandit in a Legion-repaired chassis plug himself into Chimaira's mainframe without checking him for any malware?
Then again, I don't know if either side has any cyberwarfare specialists other than the Oracle Matricies themselves, so maybe Delphi's Sol-based software will be foreign enough to Chimaira that she can't catch it in time?

Maybe they'll pull something like the Autobots did in Transformers Prime, where they were able to slip a virus onto the Nemesis by hiding the subtler sabotage with a more obvious one? Something like a more crude virus recognizable as Legion work, with Delphi's virus slipping by since they don't know they have an Oracle?

Last I remember, Chimaira does know something's up because she keeps trying to ping Delphi, but nothing's been let slip so far.
"What I mean," Delphi huffed, "is that I'm dealing with the Legion with all their little quirks and-oh, for goodness' sake."

<Alert! Probe detected-data breach-contain-delete. STOP THAT>

"On top of all that, now that I'm online the other Oracle knows something's up, and she won't stop sending probes this way." She sighed, and her avatar mimicked rubbing the bridge of her nose. "It's such a pain. How do you manage it all, Katarina?"

That's always the tricky bit for me writing these parts of the quest. I try to make the other factions and their conflicts as 'lived in' as possible with their own sense of continuity, but they're also not the focus so I have to imply it through character interactions and a healthy dose of invoking nostalgia via expies.

Statements like this give me improbable expectations of Galbinus flipping upside down to transform into a two headed dragon like RID Megatron via a second future alt mode.

Is there a mech equivalent of taking the shirt off his back?

🤔
I don't think there is one, Unless It's a piece of armor or another transformer that combines with the first to give him/her armor.Even then it'd be a strech since it'd be the second Transformer removing himself/herself from the first.

Galibinus: Such a move would be somewhat unlikely, yes...

As far as Mekaen is concerned? Not really. They have their own sayings and colloquialisms for a rough equivalent, but that may or may not come up at some point.
