Super Robot Quest G

If you want to be super specific, Perseus is sort of the tail end of the first generation super robots, having benefited from lots of the advancements Beowulf tested ahead of him. Now that you have a lot of new options (and as someone pointed out, the Thunderbolt is its own category with the Regency's classic Super Robot magical protagonist powers), the Seeker (and to an extent the Sledder) is your first foray into second generation.

Second generation super robots are going to get fairly wild (pardon the pun) if just because the satellite programs will likely develop very differently from the DFRI while still retaining some technological lineage.

@Sir Plusse

They do start a little basic. But you'll get chances and events to incrementally upgrade them as you describe (just have to workshop in my head how to go about it).

Also, Science! rolls will go up tomorrow.

...Wait a minute, just thought of a potential upgrade for the Pile Bunker already.

See, it uses explosions to propel the spike, but for now we're apparently just using gunpowder for that. Is there a way to treat K-Lung to generate explosions? If so, we could put that in there for an infinite ammo Pile Bunker.

Perseus now has a Revolving Stake. But can we give it him shoulder mounted Claymores using the Crocalisk Scale/Carrier?

Using Alte as an inspiration is perfectly valid; awesome and practical! Of course, I feel like this might lead to an alternate finisher, given the single-shot nature of Crocalisk Scales, but nothing wrong with that.

Also, it opens up the possibility of making a flying gunner super robot for Perseus to do combination attacks with.

.... At this rate we need an anti gravity generator.
Entirely possible, if we put Max on researching the emitter she accidentally stumbled onto while working on the Anti-Gravity Solution way back when. (will edit in a direct link here when I find it.)

edit: Eh, have a quote instead.
"A bit mixed," Max admits. "Anti-Gravity didn't, uh, turn out so well."

"Is that why half my samples started floating when I tried shaping more K-Class?" he demands.

"I may or may not have had something to do with that," Max says. You note she is terrible at trying to sound innocent. "I followed the plans, but most of it was incomplete. I tried bridging the gaps with steel." She shakes her head. "The apparatus didn't work. It was trying to make everything else but the metal lighter. I'm going to have to make another go of it after I clean everything up."

That sounds like something we should get a quantum physicist and will take 12 turns
What does, the anti-gravity emitter? Not really- we've already stumbled onto a lead, we just need to do a follow-up (check the quote I edited into my previous post- and if you already have, check again, I got the wrong quote at first). Only thing we need to figure out how to do is to consistently reproduce it.

...or are you referring to something else, like the flying sniper partner for Perseus (which sounds vastly more simple)?

Someone please ask Sir Plusse what flying Sniper partner he's talking about? He's got me both confused and intriged

I don't care how impractical it is, it is awesome as hell to have what is basically an explosively charged giant metal spike be used to just totally ignore enemy armor. :p

Develop rocket fist technology to truly make the most out of pilebunkers.

We already have wire guided mechanisms for Gattai so there is already an option to reel then back in.

It'll also make rocket fists in general less impractical besides rule of cool while negating one of pile bunking's greatest weaknesses of knife range.

I'm pretty sure that given our gains we can create the Grungust Type-0 if we remove Configuration.

But if we keep Configuration, we can make the Grungust-series. Grungust, Grungust Kai, Grungust 2, Grungust 3.
