How do we get more pilots?
recruitment from the armed services and maybe some other places who we know we can trust. This question has been brought up before and answered in the first thread. While the other two Super Robot groups are civilian based. the DFRI is military based so we can only recruit from military personnel. We can't just grab the average joe off the street and call them a pilot. That would get Devlin relieved of command.
Well, this is at the very least a thing that somewhat coincides with one of our goals of rocket strapping mechs into hot zones.
Probably not a one to one direct comparison visualization wise but just having a picture helps greatly.
Whoever designed that just took Space Shuttle and slapped random shit on it. As bidding aeronautics enthusiast, I'm screaming.Well, this is at the very least a thing that somewhat coincides with one of our goals of rocket strapping mechs into hot zones.

It can get even worse before it gets better.
Designing a delivery mechanism that isn't too cringe inducing is a duty we must take on.
Don't forget the Gundam designs themselves. With today's cancel culture, there's no way some of the designs, let alone the names, would have been allowed in the West.
Exhibit A: The Tequila Gundam

almost makes me wonder what will happen when we start mass producing Super Robots.Or the fact that the Netherlands fielded mass produced Gundams (at least in the finale they did if I recall right)...with windmill alt-modes.
Ah, the 90s.
I agree with you but. At this point it's bound to happen now that the concept of the super robot has been so handily proven. And there are other programs spooling up now. so it might be subverted or might not be.The odds of units being subverted by one of the hostile factions goes up when we start mass producing units, I'd argue.
How many times have Mazinkaiser or Great Mazinger have to fight Mazingers that had been subverted by Dr. Hell alone?
Agreed. Mooks should be mooks; save the really good stuff for the aces. The odds of units being subverted by one of the hostile factions goes up when we start mass producing units, I'd argue.

Tyrannous is a Pilum gunship, handed over in an interlude by... I think Bandit.
Not 100% clear on who gave it to him directly (and too lazy to check right now), but I'm pretty sure PJH was involved somewhere- either selling it to him directly, or selling it to whoever gave it to him.Tyrannous is a Pilum gunship, handed over in an interlude by... I think Bandit.
...Any odds this might have 'interesting' effects on the Westphalians?Coincidentally, a lot of these industries are ones that fell on hard times awhile ago due to the rising costs of having to phase out but keep up service support of older models while workshopping new ones. I looked into Devin - he's not the type to schmooze with corpos or industry insiders, and he actively hates having to deal with anything outside of his immediate target range, so he's not an insider risk on that front. But he loves being practical, and practical in this case means making use of older and more available equipment in case the Engineers mess up or explode something. Which they do, a lot. This, along with the now increasing demand, caused some of the Districts' stock markets to make very funny shapes on the graph charts, but the short of it is that Devin now has friends he never knew about or wanted anything to do with. Fun!
He'll be so horrified if he finds out. Kind of tempted to tell him, but I'm absolutely going to be there when he finds out.
I'd rate it pretty low honestly, anyone who would qualify for recruitment to our Super Projects that instead joined the Westphalians are probably in the full "I'll show them all!" Phase or Trus Believers....Any odds this might have 'interesting' effects on the Westphalians?
Cause it seems like some possible sympathizers, stemming from their financial situation from failed designs, have likely changed their tune as our little program revitalized them, by giving those designs a second life. Completely unintentional, but I wouldn't have been surprised if we may have sunk a potential partnership or two here.
Somebody might well try, but I suspect that any 'assassination' is just going to end up with Peters disappearing for a while, then triumphantly returning at a suitably-dramatic moment, along with the shadow-army she's recruited whilst publically-dead, to back us up the in the Final Battle.I wouldn't be surprised if Peters gets assassinated later on to try to put a patsy in the seat of oversight over all the super robot programs and the various misfits and odds and ends that comprise the programs revolt en masse being supported from the shadows by the parts of the intelligence community loyal to the Earth Union.
