...okay, we'll have to do the other version of the Megafreighter action, sorry. I legitimately was trying to get a push for the 1-action version, but it lost (because the vote closed earlier than expected, among other reasons), and so it would be worse than anything to try to walk that back at this late stage.

Therefore

[] Plan: ALL IN, The River
-[] Megafreighter Action II
-[] SBG
-[] Civ Evac Fleet.

[] Plan: Upgrades People, Upgrades!
-[] [General] Research:
—[] Novel Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development
—[] Experimental Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development
-[] [Military] Fill Out Sector Battle Group
--[] Basilisk (1/2.5)x2

Please, for the love of the Star-Child, let me have this.

Give us Infantry Weapons and Armor Development and I won't say a peep about Autoloaders for an in-game century

I was actually going to maybe do some Research of the kind you mentioned, but the winning plan that I only belatedly changed from (because I could not change the plan, because someone posted my own plan, seizing control over it) basically REQUIRES a second Megafreighter action.

So I don't know about you guys but getting to know what ships enemy uses sound like good idea to me, also
-[] Mind-Machine Interface Re-Examined or -[] Ogryn Neural Cognition Enhancement Studies,
but fleets will probably be more important to finish.
Or y'know, getting our infantry better stuff b/c we have been neglecting them for centuries.

And honestly, at this point I think it would be best to just study the Duchy ships after Voxx Primus that way we can study more with a single action b/c you know we're gonna get more stuff to research from them so we might as well poke them when we get what's left of those cutter ships.

Alrighty, well I think our plan is contingent on this question: @HeroCooky How likely is it that the Lamenters can take the Megafreighters without them getting blown up, given the infiltration that happened?

If likely, I think we should:
- Civ Fleet.
- Infantry Research
- Military Fleet.

We know it's noticeably and meaningfully less likely than with the version that I was voting for but couldn't switch to because again, like, somehow literally jacked my own plan.

So I think we will be required to do the Megafreighter Action #2. It sucks, it actually does really suck, but between someone jacking the plan and the vote closing early... it is what it is.

You sure we can't just have the Frieghter Action we wanted but couldn't implement b/c some jackass stole Laurent's plan and didn't update with the more correct action?

To be fair, it's not really stealing and there's no rules/etiquette about it. It's just annoying to me because it means that if there's a typo/error I can't do anything about it. It becomes my plan but not.

It's annoying to me, but I know that that's also, like, me being in an annoyed mood.

-[] [Military] Fill Out Sector Battle Group
--[] Basilisk (1/2.5)
-[] Evacuation Fleets - (2/4)
-[] [Megafreighters] Now that the infiltration has been thorough, it should now be controlling, aiming to gain the ability to influence the mechanical systems, to keep the engines and other key components from blowing up and keeping them under control, and otherwise foment the necessary takeover as carefully as possible. We have a timeline, we have a timeframe now. Now all we need to do is prepare for the Mutiny that will save billions of lives on Voxx Primus.

Also that Song is everything I wanted and more, to be honest!

Just wanted to state that the Free Duchy Shipwreck we have might be a good research option. So it is probably wise to take a look at it before we start the war.

Honestly, I think the Civillian Fleets can wait. We have confirmation from the QM that they can wait a turn, and I REALLY, REALLY, think we'd be making a mistake if we didn't have our Infantry as prepared as possible for what's coming.

Honestly at this point I think it would be best to wait until after we take the Void of Voxx Primus. What ships we got were pretty minor and what we'll inevitably get from our next big fight will be incredibly valuable, so we might as well just save ourselves the action and study when we got a whole bunch of ships to poke at.

I mean, it feels like it's a question of... okay, like. They CAN wait, but should they? I basically asked as a desperation move, a thing where we might be able to limp along for a single turn. @HeroCooky never answered whether it was particularly GOOD for anyone involved.

People, are we really, truly going to start a war with Voxx and not take the time to study a wreck of their ship?
Really?
Like I said before, at this point and time it will likely be more worth it to take that action after we win the Void Battle around Voxx Primus where we can get the maximum value from the action. What we managed to get were a few destroyers, nothing really special and I doubt will provide some massive win-or-lose strategic insights while what we could learn from whatever those Cutter ships are would be.

And as I've been advocating, what we need is to upgrade our infantry so less of them get grinded down in the Hives.

Really.
You really think that the time to get a better idea of what the enemy ships are capable of is after the first major battle that will likely decide the shape of the war for decades to come, rather than before.
Really.

And anyway, we get two research for the price of one. We can do this ship autopsy and develop novel weapons/armor for our infantry.

I mean, the evacuation fleet is for after we take Voxx Primus and that planet is not going to fall in one turn.
Meanwhile, we're definitely going to have boots on the ground ASAP and the sooner they get their upgrades the better.

Also @HeroCooky are you absolutely sure you can't throw us a bone here? The write in was originally meant to be something for just one action and specifics instead of something more general, and pretty much everyone was in favor of the newer write in which did what we all wanted to but the vote unexpectedly closed before we could correct things.

It would be pretty cruel to effectively cost us an action due to a miscommunication…

…. Y'know what, fuck it. As long as I can get fucking SOMETHING it's worth the compromise.

And I'm just gonna say screw it either way. The odds aren't 100% but they're high enough that I'm gonna risk it

No. As soon as we've won the void battle, Duchy ships will no longer be able to provide food to Voxx Primus and the planet will starve. This is why we need the Evacuation Fleet at least on the first turn of the war.

How are we going to supply people who are actively shooting at us? Or ferry massive amounts of supplies through an active warzone?

Also, the longer the war on the ground takes, the more people will die from it. So better make the war as decisive as we can make it.
