Can we please do the Lamenter action? They've been getting pretty wrecked this campaign and I'm sure having them at full strength will be very helpful for smashing Chaos's face in

I like this except with, and I know this is a dealbreaker, the Hive Agriculture (and Anti-Ork, but that's just a bonus) Research, because I wanna be ready to pull the trigger on Voxx Primus the MOMENT we have 621 handled.

I mean, I highly doubt we'll manage to get everything in 621 handled anytime soon, so we should have plenty of time to hit that research before the situation here is resolved, and I feel like research that buffs our military would be a better investment right before a major offensive

Again, I've always been the advocate for starting the Voxx Primus stuff ASAP, not waiting until we have no other fires before leisurely doing it, because there's never going to be a time where we have no fires and so if we do so we're just going to set ourselves up for disappointment.

We are about to go into combat. I think bonus to our ships and army come before a plan that is not going to begin for several turns yet.

The thing is, that isn't going to happen for a while and we need to stay focused on the war.

[] Plan: March to the Drum
-[] [General] Research:
--[] Automechanical Augmentations, Directional Ion Shields, and Karnivore Weapon And Equipment Loadouts
-[] [Military] [Construct/Refit] A Fleet - [36 Fleet Points]
—[] 2x Aries-S Class Corvette [4 FP]
—[] 4x Crux-Secundus (S) Class Heavy Frigate [16 FP]
--[] 1x Andromeda-Class Command Ship [8FP]
--[] 1x Libra-Tertium (Libra-T) Light Carrier [8FP]

--[] [Military] Begin Military Operations (Assign SAG/s) (Choose Location/s) (Designate Objective/s)
-- TDB (The Laurent has a pretty good outline here I think)

My issue is, we really don't seem to have it handled. Between last turn and this one the enemy doesn't really appear to have been weakened, even with the additional ships. They appear to still have as many ships as they did last turn, and their shipyards are intact. I think we don't have much of a choice but to step up our naval warfare. Maybe 2 Construct Fleet rather than one, or perhaps a design action on the Leo. But we need to do more than we're doing or we're going to end up in a stalemate.

I think that a single Buildout and a clever enough military plan, especially pressing them on three fronts, will be enough to get it going, especially since we're doing multi-turn offensives now.

Which leaves one action left, and I'd rather spend it getting the Voxx Primus stuff primed so that we can literally slot its start in with a single action, because as long as it's "Two actions away" people are going to basically neglect it because that's an actually big investment.

That's a very optimistics take on the war in 621, considering that we are not even scratching the paint on the Chaos shipyards yet.

Yeah, I actually feel really optimistic, as long as we spend at least one action shipbuilding and we actually coordinate with Mashan!

We're about to start a Ground Campaign, I'd rather focus on boosting our Ground Game.

That being said, our losses are primarily coming from our front line ships, and we've lost enough that we don't need an Andromeda. I think 2 Scorpios and then replacing our lost escorts would be a better choice than an Andromeda and a Libra-T right now.

We have options. There's the big research action, or we could finally build some Karnivores, or we could help the Lamenters get to full strength.

Fine, but honestly at this point I'm increasingly cynical that people will be kicking the Voxx Primus can down the road for the next century, because HeroCooky will provide some other obvious shiny or threat, as he's literally always done.

But, if we're doing this, then this (or 2x build):

-[] Unstable Ore Deposits Exploitation, Chemical After-Burner Bottling, and Ancient Imperial Missile Studies

Might be the better choice, because at this point we have enough lift that we could send 2/3rds of our SAGs and basically just drown them in bodies if we HAD to, but we're still facing a reasonably strong enemy in space.

More than 2/3rds our SAGs, with 4 Super Tauruses and 4 of the standard in service, we can comfortably move our entire army in one go.

[] [Military] [Construct] A Fleet - [36 Fleet Points]
[] [Military] Begin Military Operations
[] [Chapter] As The Codex Demands (5.5/7)

A very barebones beginning on my plan. More ships to replenish our screening force, new operation to bite and hold, and an action towards the Lamenters to finally get them to 100%.

Broadly, this is the way to go I think.

--[] Automechanical Augmentations, Directional Ion Shields, and Karnivore Weapon And Equipment Loadouts
-[] [Military] [Construct/Refit] A Fleet - [36 Fleet Points]
-[] [Military] Begin Military Operations (Assign SAG/s) (Choose Location/s) (Designate Objective/s)

I'll figure out the details shortly.

What I meant was, what units are engaged in the a'raiding? All of them? Since obviously we want to keep whatever forces we have at Kapion's Hope there rather than having them all leave it to swing/etc?
Oh, in that case, the Lamenters are defending Kapion's Hope and would not be agreeable to being asked to go away and stop doing their job there.

Also, for those arguing for research into Ground Game and Space Stuff, please be aware that all those things you unlock with them will only be available next Turn, not this one.

[ ] Plan: GOOD NEWS everyone!
-[] [General] Research:
--[ ] Automechanical Augmentations, Directional Ion Shields, and Karnivore Weapon And Equipment Loadouts
-[] [Military] [Construct/Refit] A Fleet - [36 Fleet Points]
--[ ] 4x Scorpio, 2x Aries
-[] [Military] Begin Military Operations
--[ ] Operation GOOD NEWS
---[ ] OBJECTIVE: The Formal Entry of the Glimmering Federation into the War of 621 will involve the liberation of Lethysan and Terrore, pivoting from the raiding and disruption of DRAGON'S TOOTH to give cover for our deployment. A war against Chaos that doesn't involve the Star Child's followers?
That doesn't seem right after all...
---[ ] All Forces from Droma, Ubraka, Neumidia, Perfinda, Gnatilla, Itani, Quintura Diablo, Kriegar, Kanzura, and Gheistheim, as well as the Blazing Sun (14 SAGs), Remaining SAGs should be shuffled in the backline by ships that aren't required to ensure no major vulnerabilities in our defensive perimeter. Supply ships will be assigned temporary Choir support as needed to keep supplies topped off while DRAGON'S TOOTH continues to be a giant distraction and disruption.
----[ ] In addition, four to five Celestial Choirs should be ready to assist our SAGs with their own techniques, it would be useful to know what Melodies are most effective and which paths forward should be taken to advance this doctrine.
---[ ] Send a scout or another sneaky ship past the lines to inform the Mashan of our intentions, if they want to take advantage of Chaos' confusion... Well, it'll be a good opportunity.

EDIT: Recieved a grim reminder after posting that our dudes won't get their toys this round, anyway, nyoro~nnnn

SON OF EDIT: Actually, no, fuck that, we still need this. If we can't get it right now, we'll have it for the next throwdown.

This plan has ground force upgrades, it has Ion shields, I will be voting for it. I am once again a single issue voter in this lol

Don't forget to add in contacting the Mashan, we could have one of our scouts go talk to them and try to communicate our plans.

Ayup, looks good, though an alternate plan would be to build a pile of Knights and get the upgrades for them later. It would be nice to have a superheavy punch of our own before we run into an enemy superheavy force.

Are we holding off on the refit? 10 FP for 2 Libra-Ts, 3 Crux-S's seems worth it on its own, not to mention four Taurus-S's that will help with mobility & evacuations. That doubles our number of active Libra-Ts. We're losing frontliners, but our doctrine is built around fleet carriers. I think a build action of:
--[ ] 2x Scorpio, 2x Aries-S, refit Two Libra-S to Two Libra-T, Three Crux to Three Crux-S, and Four Taurus into Four Taurus-S
will give us more bang for our buck.

Yes, but our fleet requires front liners to function, and almost 100% of our losses have been to our front liners. I want to close that gap before we start getting breakthroughs.
