I was actually thinking about 2 Andromedas, 2 Chameleons, and 3 Tauruses, but I think I can settle for just 1 Andromeda, 1 Scorpio, 2 Chameleons and 3 Cruxes
Nah, Libras are still one of our best ship designs in circulation, and for once, we're not fighting the dregs of Chaos.

We should be good on spacelift for the operation, given how this is a raid, not a full out invasion. We've got 9 SAGs worth of potential carrying space in our fleet at present.
Agreed, we need fleet striking power more in the upcoming turn (we are unlikely to be able to press major invasions that'll require more than 9 SAGs in the next turn). We'll build more Taurus-S next turn. But we need to be able to use the Chameleons and other ships more than the Taurus.

@Alectai at some point should we come back to make a Lupus S? Or are we mainly banking on the now substantially cheaper cost to make more of the Destroyers? I was looking at the current design and the choices we made with the size of the ship and the hull strength give us 21 DP after which we only spend 8 DP. Should we consider upgrading?

Probably. It's on the List, somewhere, behind the production model Leo anyway.

God, I hope we get a chance to see it in action so I can actually make adjustments.

It Should be good, but it's our first Heavy Cruiser and I've yet to see it put through its paces to see where adjustments are needed.

I think next turn we should definitely spare an AP to get new bombers. Our strikecraft is already insenely good so be should keep pushing them further.

[] [General] Propaganda For The Foreign Masses - [0/4]
We really should get around to doing this and integrating the worlds we have.

[] [Military] [Construct/Refit] A Fleet - [36 Fleet Points]
another thing we should do this to get this finished BEFORE any combat happens.

-[] 12x Free Celestial Choirs
I... I think we have enough Andromedas for movement so I think we can start going for more planets again or doing another ship that requires Choirs. either way we now have a surplus and don't have to worry about taking planets with having this many choirs and our trait for integration and bringing developments up to 5.

[] [Psykana] Uncover The Designs For The Sacrifices
While it is not unusual for those under the thrall of Chaos, willingly or not, to gather sacrifices for perverse rituals, the numbers being gathered by Chaos Lord Ssli'sazarl are concerning in the extreme. The number of potential uses such a mass sacrifice could yield for them are many, and the fact that some of those ships are being sent to their frontlines is extremely unsettling in its implications. We must uncover what they intend to do with these sacrifices or be prepared to find out first-hand with our forces at the end of the rituals they would fuel.
(Gain: Information about the ships filled with sacrifices being gathered by the United Cults.)
Yahhhh, this is going to have to be done soon. We know how Chaos gains power and what they use the Slaves for, I think it'd be for the best to know where they are going so we have an idea where to punch to once we go on the offensive.

[] [Faith] The Great Heresies
MOTHERFUCKER! it makes sense it would start now but damn. that many right away and some being worst then others.... joy. AP HELL never ends.

[] [Faith] Prevent The Schismatic Colonies
Due to the recent opening of the shipyards to the civilian sector, alongside the rush by hundreds to set down orders for non-military ships, and it is painful to admit this, a trio of vessels had been constructed and given over to what had been believed to be an ordinary corporation before Cerberus realized that these ships had been given over to adherents to the Order of the Nurenor Roses and Supplicants of the Aetherical Cog, which set out into the Amratur Sub-Sector before contact was lost. If a fleet is sent fast enough, these ships could be caught and forced to return rather than continue their plans to settle new worlds with their heresies, potentially forcing blood upon our hands once they are found and asked to return to the fold.
(Gain: Prevent the Schismatic Colonies Event Chain.)
this needs to be done now. No pushing it off, the last thing we need is this and dealing with them in ten or so turns and being another thorn in our side. Also keeping this from making more factions that can muddle the waters about our StarChild worship.

*Sigh* Missed the entire plan making and voting session again because of work. I actually wanted to put some input into that one too...

Hey @Alectai since I seem to be having trouble getting here on time to make much impact in discussions, do you mind taking a look at some of my ship work and seeing if there's anything worth picking up/tweaking for the coming turns?

I think there is some really really good synergy to be had from launching a raiding campgain that including multipe ghost carriers who purpose is to cause dissent/revoltuion on chaos worlds while also making a revolution/missionary school at the same time

The difficulty is a lack of room. Like, we could have the Monument held off for a bit IG? But I don't trust that.

I hope we will get a chance to send missionaries to the traders because I don't know about you guys, but I do want to minimise the possibility of them falling to chaos and having to fight 2 front war

Technically 10 SAGs if you count the Chameleon. Which I do think we could use more of for some behind the scenes insertions, but we'll see What happens. And even disregarding the Trooplift, Tauruses are pretty nice as mini strike craft carriers due to their compliment.
I think next turn we should definitely spare an AP to get new bombers. Our strikecraft is already insenely good so be should keep pushing them further.
Actually, our strike craft isn't that great. Our stuff started about 70% as effective as the Imperial standard and our new Fighter design is just about as effective as the standard Imperial Navy Thunderbolt. Our Strike Craft was only so effective due to our Thules being fucking badasses with the ones attached to the Libras being on par with Space Marine pilots.

The heresies are probably first to address. But thanks to...war footing the action economy is taken up once again lol.

Next turn probably looks something like "More production of ships, hit a heresy and maybe a research action"

okay wow, I finished posting it and check again to see it updated again. Alright lets see if anything I said is now void.

But there would be concerning news from the United Cults. The only silver lining during the decade was that the Mashan Temple Authority managed to defeat the push into their territory. All other news were bleak. The Terraward Front saw the doom of the local defenders, while those forces settling in to defend against any incursion by the Glimmering Federation began with more fortifications of void and planetary natures. Likewise did the potential uses of the rituals, as far as the Celestial Choirs could determine, concern the Admiralcy, as the most likely outcome and use of the enslaved people and their souls is to be a summoning ritual done during or before any battles. Those summonings seem restricted to be either in pulling in prepared reinforcements or allowing the very "terrain" of the Warp to breach into the Materium.

To prevent such a thing from being enacted, and to weaken the enemy, the Admiralcy strongly urges the High Council to give the order for a Raiding Campaign to deny those souls to Chaos and to damage their shipyards and vessels wherever possible, possibly even aiding those holding against them.
Yup, that checks out. We need to do SOMETHING and looks like we are doing a raid into the territory to buy us time. We really should keep this in mind for next time but at the same time it costs an AP and might not get the support. Still raiding over in 621 and destroying the ship building and void defenses will let us probe them and make the breach point easier when we do invade.

And shit, its getting close to deamon world if that's any indication.

On the topic of ships; scouts of New Dawn R&D have recently uncovered a unique blend of highly unstable ores within an isolated system, which, if the preliminary data is correct, could be used to improve the damage causes by our missile systems once exploited.
Oh sweet, seriously next turn we should spend an action on this as we are expecting to fight Chaos seriously soon and this would help us considering Missiles are a main weapon in our fleet.

Ey! Surprise Late Night Update from Cooky!

I'll take it though!

But just looking at this real quick...

[ ] Plan: Spoke the Devil's Wheels
-[ ] [Military] Begin Military Operations
--[ ] Operation: DRAGON TOOTH
---[ ] All Readily Available Mobile Forces ready for a Smash and Grab
---[ ] Any Ground Forces Command thinks we'll need
----[ ] It is of the utmost importance that the Chaos Regime in Sub-Sector 621 be denied heavy infrastructure restricting our activities, and this moment when they have exhausted their mobile forces striking against the MTA is as good an opportunity as any other to disrupt their operations. The goal of Operation: DRAGON TOOTH is an aggressive raid to set Chaos Lord Ssli'sazarl's timeline back and buy any surviving defenders some breathing space. To that end, an assault on enemy Void Infrastructure and assets is authorized, as well as the denial of prisoners to their altars. Ideally through extraction, but whatever we can do, will be done. Bear in mind, this is a Raid in Force, not an attempt to occupy territory, we still have not identified the source of enemy ship production and it apparently outweighs all but our most focused efforts. Do everything within your power, but get out alive
-----[ ] Assign up to 7 Celestial Choirs to key independent fleet elements, such as the Lamenters Fleet, but especially to the Chameleon-class Stealth Insertion Frigates, and offer them for their use for the operation, I'm quite confident that transhuman super heroes can make excellent use of the mobility and surprise these options allow them to cause all manner of Problems to the enemy in a guerilla campaign.
-[] [Faith] Mausoleum of the Prophet
-[] [Military] [Construct/Refit] Task Force Delta: (1x Andromeda, 1x Libra-T, 1x Scorpio), Independent Operations (2x Chameleon)

Looks like a good framework to me! Love the chance for the Lamenters to pull some shit with a chameleon. Like a decap strike on the chaos lord.

Some small suggestions, none dependent on each other.
1. Do we want a few Tauruses instead of a Libra? It might be necessary to have that trooplift and bombardment power to extract/interdict the sacrifices successfully. We also need those Tauruses in general for future invasions.
Nevermind. 9 SAGs of trooplift should be enough.
2. Can we task the Chameleons to go in before the main fleet with the goal of disrupting the sacrifices? Raiding to stop sacrifices doesn't work if they can sacrifice in response.
3. Do we want to set a level of 'scorched earth' here? Like destroy everything, nuke every city, or leave basic infrastructure behind?

Edit: I wonder if there's another breakpoint above 20 free choirs. It would be fun to start auto-researching songs.

Hey Alectai how about adding into the operation for the Lamenters a request to aid the remaining defenders as best possible without getting bogged down? We need those holdouts to stay alive for at least another turn, preferably two or three turns. The Lamenters are likely to be our deepest ranging forces given they are space marines.

I'm going to be asleep by vote opening time, but the point is giving them free reign and access to Choirs and stealth ships to coordinate and travel with to spoke the enemy's wheels, I'd like to assume they know how to use those tools well.

I wonder if giving the Lamenters the Chameleon will give them Ideas on building stealth frigates for their own fleet? A company of Space Marines in a stealth frigate would be a nasty surprise for anyone.

Hell. Maybe a vanguard/strike cruiser with stealth built in

Glimmering Fed: *Gives them a stealth ship*
Lamenters: Thank you but what do you want us to do with this?
Glimmering Fed: ...Violence.
