pretty much, north korea them for a few turns, then go back and conquer them (by wich point we will have even better tech and industry)

Feels like we can just wait them out and just try and find chinks in their copium to actual negotiate with sane people. We already saw that after generations that the fringes stopped being so dogmatic so chances are the mainland will also feeling that soon.

Only reason to rush for it now is if we want that infrastructure now and more intact cause I feel chances are their forges are going to degrade from lacking materials and/or conservative spite.

[] The Rewards Of Traitors
(Unto that bridge once taken by Chaos, re-taken by the Packs of War, now stormed by the Liberators of a world of industry.)

I think we have one chance to take the forge without it being a whole giant action-sink of a campaign, and it's now. We need that industrial capacity, and we owe it to the menials to free them from conditions not that much worse than what the Dark Mechanicum enforces. If we want to conquer Qulach's Forge at all, this is the best option.

[] Honor Among The Forgotten
We're not Traitors, and the writing is on the wall. We've gotten defectors and we've continually shown ourselves to be the Reasonable Ones. We're also growing stronger faster than they are. Adhere to the Deal and Kill Chaos

We never made a deal with them to go away afterwards, did we? We landed and started killing chaos and that was a good thing. Now they're weakened, and it's our only chance to take them over without dedicating an entire campaign to it. Again, we do this now or we don't do it at all.

At the end of the day, the cost--both in time and material--to force them into Compliance exceeds the level of good we could do with those resources elsewhere. So lock them in and let Reality Ensue.

This isn't going to work - it's the goddamned Imperium. Rejecting reality is their whole Schtick. The Mechanicus is even less likely to bow to reason, just calling us Hereteks and building up every scary weapon they can to make sure that any attempt to conquer them is long and bloody. I wouldn't put it past them building a self-exterminatus as a final screw-you if we give them fifty years.

At the same time, Sagat isn't that big of a deal. I'm not saying don't fight it, but it seems like we have it handled for the most part.

I agree on this. Sagat is a problem, but it's not a problem that's growing. We can sit on Sagat with existing forces for a little while, especially with new Andromedas coming online to ease out the supply situation. Our forces there are heavy units, and will be more effective as more supplies arrive.

And on the update I'm honestly leaning towards attacking the forge now that chaos is handled there and with Saget contained. Said Forge is now our biggest issue in the sub sector since I for one do not want a hostile forge in our backyard as we go about. Better then to attack while the iron is hot in my mind.

I 100% agree with this. If we don't take the forge now, then we won't do it. Or if we do decide to invade later, that means we made a mistake now. It's going to sit there as a thorn in our side, building anti-orbit weapons and turning itself into a fortress for the foreseeable future. I think we either hit them now or commit to doing the propaganda actions. That's the only way we can possibly turn them bloodlessly, and I'm not even sure it'll work.

[] These Are The Voyages Of The Starship 'Spirit Of Discovery'...
(Lose a Choir but gain a Light Cruiser Scout. Yeeni will like this.)

Lol
Lmao even
This option is so ass i genuinely don't see how anyone will end up voting for it, trade in a whole fucking Choir for a Scout ship? Because its a Star Treck reference?

Hell no.
Nkt just no, but Hell no.

There's going to be a (Light Cruiser) Scout anyway that's going to explore unknown regions. The question is whether it does so very, very slowly or very quick.

This is an obvious yes, lol. Lmao even.

Also it should be clear that the Choir still exists.

Also, the Yeeni updated, so here's what we're talking about:

[Yeeni] Spirit of Discovery Scout-Class Light Cruiser
-Length - 4.000m
-Width - 450m
-Acceleration - 3 Gravities
-Armor - Thin Double Hull
-Shields - Three Emitters
-Weapons - 2x Light Missile Turrets, 1x Small Hangars
-Equipment - Yeeni Auxiliary Engineer Division/Small On-Board Manufactory/Luxurious Crew Amenities/Ship Shrines

okay glad it not just me cause people keep menointng the deal we made with them and I don't remember making one either

Hmm the Yneei ship is bit better designed than I expected it's 2 steps better on length and 1 step better on width from our base and it only cheap out on shields on one stage. Would had expected their ship to have issues and flaws like the initial Kil ship since iirc we're not exactly sharing all our tech and DP with the Yneei what with them being protectorates and not kin.

Well, you will notice that the Big Ticket Items here are two things that you don't have a monopoly on; the Yeeni Engineering Aux and Small Manufactory. Further, the problem with the Kil'drabi ships was that they are, essentially, Flying Cities That Can Also Fight In Battles. That was their problem.

And, c'mon. If you were sending out a new ship with explorers after what happened the last time you did that, wouldn't you spend several turns and Actions to smooth out any issues and eek out any advantage you could for a one-off ship?

But yeah, right now the Yeeni have 17 DP as compared to our 24 DP for Light Cruisers. So it's significantly less amazing, but not terrible. A generation and a half behind us I think?

Keep in mind, we got extra DP b/c we have a doctrine that gives a bonus to our shields, hangers, and engines and went for quality of quantity, and that was with a Void Industry X milestone. While I personally would have stripped the Luxurious amenities and reduced the size for greater speed, shields and weapons, this is good enough for its purpose.
