What should your focus for the rest of the Quest be?

Looks like our raiding of Quintura Diablo is paying off. Neon doesn't have any fleets to spare.

So I can now say with confidence that we should do one ship building action for the next two turns.
 
Hold on everyone I have the solution I think. The chapter is gonna auto finish their ships next turn, which is gonna get our navy back up to par. So we probably don't need to all 3 produce ships, maybe just 1-2 actions.
 
But yeah, taking the Eldar Fighter thing and the 1/2 for Ship Improvements would mean we'd get it for free next turn, which when our Action Economy is always set to "fucked" is honestly a pretty big deal even if it didn't also give us +2 DP for EVERYTHING.

Just go for it, I feel too miserable even if it wasn't so much a blunder on my part as a small mistake that just got compounded into a disaster by way of absolute dogshit rolls against a hidden foe.

I do want to ask your advice, and I actually mean to take it. Is it better to add four Cruxes, eight of some Destroyer, or two Light Cruisers to our Line of Battle for defensive purposes?
 
No, I think it means that they're unlikely to send JUST one fleet. They're either going to attack two systems simultaneously or concentrate force in one area.
Neon is still fighting Chaos though, so any fleet they send to attack us is one fleet less defending their important systems. And we destroyed the VI in Quintura so we massively reduced their ship building capacity.

So I think we should be fine for at least a couple more turns.
 
Also further good news: by next turn we'll have integrated our new gains, and so if they aren't reconquered/enslaved, that should help solidify us in the area and probably help improve their SDF and give them some troops/etc!
 
Can I just point out that people thought we were fine on the shipbuilding is because people thought we would be shutting down a growing pirate threat and would be able to pivot our entire navy to Neon? Not to mention the captured void industry helping two things. Improving our shipbuilding efficiency and helping unlock heavy cruisers to counter Neon. As oppose to finding the Dark Eldar squatting on our border and opening up a second front. So we now need two fleets to handle one front each. Which yeah, sucks, but at least they were trying to reduce the number of shipbuilding actions needed. It could have instead been "Expand the first fleet and build a second one to keep the pirates at bay".

Yes to both. Also, they just had to bunker against a Chaos attack, so that is keeping them defensive.

Hmm, I will go with Libra-S I suppose? Means we have more of them than we started with, so that should be... okayish?

Wait, VI has Milestones too? I thought they just unlocked new hull types. And "Lore Ships?"

Has that ever stopped the imperium from attacking? I mean really, they aren't caipius Cain. They will attack us because we are enemies to the imperium regardless of consequences. They literally only worked with us because the space marines were already working with us.

Now granted, their leader seemed fairly competent. So they might be smarter and just… make defenses against us while they deal with other crap.

This should get us just enough ships to defend, and hopefully the new and improved SDFs will be rolling out over the decade after as we overhaul our entire navy in terms of research and then start a major design/building phase that will probably last us until the next Constitutional Convention/whatnot.
