[X] Plan--Through the Gates of Heaven

Upon actually reading the plan, I realized that it's a lot better than what I originally voted for.

Well, now that this is sorted. @HeroCooky ! Enlighten me, are we able to schedule an Attack to happen that makes use of ships built in a turn, or do we have to wait for the start of a New Turn to benefit from that? It strongly informs the outline of my plan for next turn.

Crux, adromeda, and medical infrastructure I'm guessing?

But hey that means we can potentially achieve parity against the pirates, and if we're lucky win the void battle enough that we can secure that flank and get +3 void infrastructure to not only get cruisers but also the level X bonus…hopefully though we can eventually upgrade our candle keeper stuff to get greater levels of anti-chaos bullshit.

Anyone got a spare 9 for this post?

If we can attack right away, double Crux and attack. If we need to wait, double Crux and either Medical or the Chaos Loot before it grows legs and runs away, then we attack the turn afterwards.

But I do have to ask again, are you sure a new Light Cruiser couldn't be as effective if not moreso than 3 Frigates? With 16 DP we could design a pretty tough ship able to help draw fire.

A single light cruiser can only screen one section of our battleline. Three Crux can screen 3 sections. The Light Cruiser might be more effective in its one area, but it can only be in the one place at a given time, and more significantly, a single obvious strongpoint is considerably easier to avoid than a weaker but more consistent front line.

Cooky was pretty clear about it. "You need at least 10 more Crux to handle this". We have 3 of those. Not more Libras, not more Aries, not more Lupus, we were told we needed 10 Crux.

Uh. This is inaccurate.

2 SAGs, and at least 10 more ships. Preferably 10 Crux.
You are talking about attackng a fortified Void Station Fortification and Fleet equal to your's before you took losses here.
No mechanical benefit, only Lore.

--[] First we repeat, as always, the admonition against exclusion, against having an order of Nobles, or an Order only of Men, or Women, or those who do not fit into these categories, or only that of the Humans, though we acknowledge that an Order ministering to the Poor will predominantly have the Poor, to the Workers in the Factories thus and so, but that these restrictions cannot be absolute.
@The Laurent Maybe it is a little too late, but if for some reason orders appear that decide to pick the whole Celibacy thingy, I think we should allow them to have separation for sex for obvious practical reasons...

Okay, when you're splitting hairs and going "preferably" actually means "But not actually and we can work with something completely different actually", I think that's a bit unreasonable.

We were told "At least 10 ships, preferably a set of Cruxes", trying to say that something else would be better seems like playing silly games with words.

It's... not splitting hairs? Like I'm kinda baffled here, because the straightforward meaning of the words seems pretty clear. Preferably means it'd be best if they were all Cruxes, but that it can in fact be other things while still hitting the requirements therein.

No, I feel like their is a between a big difference between "At least 10 X" And "X more of something, Preferably Y"? That's not splitting hairs at all?

I saw that as talking about the ships we already had available and didn't include any possible ships we could design in the meantime. And it was talking about at least 10 ships since we don't actually have a cruiser type ship that is actually meant to be on the frontline since we only have a Carrier and a Pathfinder ship.
