Energy, it's a Stellaris term for a planet that's all about stocking up and producing energy supplies. So a Prometheum spot, or a plasma refining thing, or whatever the fuck the Imperium uses.

Anyway, I've gotten my answers. I think we're good to go, and I've got my . Quintura's not their Capital System, right @HeroCooky ?

And I guess we're too late to update our infantry gear at this point too, even if we were to do the research right now?
Doesn't Stellaris use Generator World?

I think the idea that, if the Chapter isn't directly helping us right this moment we should just let them take 20 years longer to get ships to be able to deploy is... short-sighted?

Consider this: we literally have Chaos next door to next door. Neon's probably going to be something we're going to be dealing with for a century or two, if not more, but so is Chaos.

So let's help the Chapter!
QM did say any DP increases we get before the action completes will improve the final product, so slow rolling it can be beneficial if we don't expect to need those frigates urgently in the next twenty years.
The Oof was using a reward to be allowed to spend AP on a Research Project, not the integration part.
In fairness at least it's somewhat decent bang for our buck?

It is, but it's still getting an Oof out of me.

Ooof.

Well, we're not spending the AP on building this turn regardless, since people will riot if I don't give the Spess Marines their dues. Still, ouch. Action Economy remains an absolute bitch.

---[ ] 1st Neumidian SAG, Order of the Blazing Sun
--[ ] OPERATION: FLASHING SABRE
---[ ] We have a rare and rapidly closing opportunity to force the Protectorate of Neon into a headlock favorable to the Glimmering Federation's strategic interests. Based on intelligence gathered from interrogation and data capture, our strategists have determined a vulnerability in the Protectorate's current force disposition. FLASHING SABRE is intended to be a high speed, high tempo operation with the intent on exploiting our strategic mobility to the utmost
----[ ] STAGE ONE: The deployment of Task Fleet Alpha to the Brotar System. It is of the utmost priority that we seize the facilities there in the highest state of repair that we can. As Brotar will serve as the gateway to Federation Space in the immediate future. As this has little to no civilian population due to the hostility of the environment, and its mobile forces should be depleted heavily by the failed attack, we anticipate few issues with this stage, and should be considered our minimal accepted goals.
----[ ] STAGE TWO: We must attempt to liberate the systems of Barbarun and Ikatun from Protectorate control and bring them to the banner of the Star-Child. Barbarun is of particular strategic concern, as it is the seizure of this system which will permit us an advantageous position, as we will be able to threaten Gathin with assault. This will effectively neutralize their defenses between the hammer that is the Enemy's presence in Valhidem and our own deployment here. Ikatun's mineral reserves will also be a great benefit to the Federation. The two in tandem will allow for the establishment of a stable, permanent foothold in Sub-Sector Amratur. If surprise can be maintained, do so, but securing these systems will be important in the future.
----[ ] STAGE THREE: Should all other steps go well, and FLASHING SABRE has completed STAGE ONE and STAGE TWO in good order, they may--at the discretion of the Commanding Officer--move to STAGE THREE--a raid on Quintura Diablo. As one of the only Civilized Worlds within the Sub-Sector, it is likely a major industrial hub--one protected even now by a formidable Void force. Your objective in STAGE THREE is to do all that is possible to disrupt the system's void industry, and eliminate any SDF forces and other void infrastructure possible before reinforcements can arrive, then withdraw to STAGE TWO territory. Be advised that we do not currently have the star-lift capacity to seize the system in the long term at present, but forcing Neon to need to replace their industrial losses and the remaining mobile force reserves will buy us the better part of a century to build our strength before they are in a position to retaliate.
---[ ] TL;DR: Liberate Brotar, Barbarun, Ikatun. Punch Quintura Diablo in the throat a few times as a stretch goal. If we can only take two systems, make it Brotar and Barbarun to get the headlock. For all the fancy words here, that's really all this comes down to, I just had fun writing this.
I like this plan. Gets more territory but probably won't get Neon to punch the panic button of deploying their big fleet that's backstopping the Chaos frontline. We deny them the resources they need to break the stalemate with Chaos forces and all the while we build ourselves up.

Don't forget standardization which gives +2 DP, doing that, and the imperial ships mind over matter along with the raid would give us +4 to frigates/destroyers and +3 DP to light cruisers.

I don't need to tell the thread how damn well that is…especially since that would net us either faster engines, better armor, or better shields in our ships.

Which would do *allot* for their survival rates against the enemy…

Maybe, but it also means that they can't move onto whatever they have next on the docket, and absolutely there is SOMETHING.

While the integration process is now automatic, I imagine we'll still lose some stats to it.

So in the following turns we should be prepared to spend AP in recovering our loses.

Almost certainly the next action is either helping with more Marines or helping them start on Vanguard Cruisers or work towards Strike Cruisers (or help the Lamenters design and build their own vehicles i.e. Rhino equivalents)

What does the Chocolate technology tree look like? White chocolate? Dark chocolate? Milkshakes? Truffles? Cocoa powder? Mochas? Syrup?

Will we encounter any Maid Marines?

Is this not only 18 ships? Also, if I remember correctly, then I do not think, that the command ships get counted as part of the 20 ship capacity.

Love it. Good balance of things with the right cut-outs. But isn't it just one action? What's the plan with the other two?

I'm quoting this:
You use: [Operation Grab These Systems] and write-in what you want done. This covers multi-system assaults and operations.

So wouldn't the plan be yours for the military action, plus mil V and the Chapter action?

I'm going to sound dumb here for a quick second, but I forgot the exact mechanics of how Hymns of the Machines worked. Does it require Celestial Choirs to actually function? If so, are they automatically assigned to the the ships that uses it like the Andromeda class? Or are they just pulled from the free Celestial Choir pool whenever they're used?

Choirs are automatically assigned to Andromedas when they are completed.

Yes, I just wanted to write the plan first because that was where the mental horsepower went.

I also unbroke the fleet distribution, somehow the Cruxs and our Gen 1 Libra weren't on the list, which messed everything up.

Here's the finalized plan with the other things people insist on doing.

Can our Taurus's shuttle back and forth to transfer more SAG's in? Or are we just limited to two for the whole campaign?
