It's telling we're more worried about Sanctus fucking us up than whatever's bullying our baby bois.
Honestly, it's kinda true, because like we jumped on this like white on rice, but it was presumably solvable in 40 years without our explicit support, while ~600 marines held out.

The problem there is probably solvable. The journey there and back though…

Anyways, for people who want All-XX, it's as I charted out. 4 Heavy Industry actions and switch ISC to Primum.

AN: Actually fell asleep while trying to write something for the Lamenters, so I am pulling rank and giving you the lore and fluff tomorrow, because my yellow bois don't deserve EeepyCooky's writing crimes. Nothing happened that requires you to take action, so no worries/doomsaying. That means you Alectai.
Gotcha. Should we expect a turn tomorrow or no? Just modeling some mental plans for after XX with the new sites. Anyways, thanks, and sleep well.

I think @BlueHelix figured out the plan for efficient dev, and it's time to crank it. Probably be like 4ish turns?
6 turns, counting this one.

4 actions for HI switch ISC, 4 Actions Med switch ISC (and a free mechandrite action since the 25% ISCs allow us to produce a 5th action which can be put in dev or elsewhere), 4 actions Mil or Food, 4 actions mil or food, then cleanup for mil and food, then Tribal Warfare get XX.

It's here, just didn't account for the free mechandrites but doesn't change the turn count, just if we want flexibility in General Actions on Dev turns or 2 free actions at the tail end before tribal warfare.

Do we have the loose actions to investige sites?
Military Installation/Military production/Industrial Yard/Manufacturing Center/Gene-King Research Laboratory
Because some of these sound very strongly like they'd have boosts to development, and we get 3 per AP.

I can't help but notice that several of these locations look like they really should help us with Dev. Not sure if we should explore now or what, but... Maybe? If we can get a pile of discounts it would be worth a turn?

In that dev cycle? No, not until the very end. The only free potential actions would be general, and these sites are military.

Shrug — I'm putting the options on the table. Any gacha takes another update too, so we'll be left with 4 free updates after all of this, 3 if Cooky wants tomorrow's update to be only fluff and lore.

We still have room, but it's an interesting amount of room left. That being said if things get really tight it's not super dire, so long as we can get that final turn and vote for All-XX I think it'll be fine, Cooky will probably auto-choose milestone perks and the anti-chaos trait, but yeah.

Will of the people, etc. Hopefully the gacha turn will be kind if people go for it, we've had huge wins, some mediocrity, and some losses.
Well two actions would be enough to investigate six sites and with Devouring Mechadendrite active that's another general action generated so...
Gacha turns are military, not general.

620.M43 had us spend four actions on exploring the Ancient's and we only get 3 actions per a turn so what gave us that fourth action? and no it was not a turn with a free extra action.
It was Heartbeat of Industry, it makes military actions 25% cheaper so in effect if we use 3 Military Actions we can get a 4th one.

To be clear everyone — I'm not opposed against delaying Dev for ancient sites again, but I am opposed to half-assing things. I will be significantly more mad if we get on the dev train, piddle around, and then not get All-XX than if we decided to not pursue All-XX.

I'm perfectly fine with one last stop before we hop on the crazy train so long as people are aware it's delaying us reaching the train destination. But once we hop on the train, that means we're committed to All-XX. I don't want complaints about the turns being boring or requests to do random shit — when we're on the train; there's no getting off until the end.

I'd prefer to start going for all-XX this turn, but I'm ok with doing one last ancient sites turn. But only if we don't half-ass it: All actions on ancient sites, immediately go into all-XX development right after. We don't have any time for anything else.

I'll put together a Dev plan. I don't think I'll go for the ancient sites. We also don't want to send off more military strength when half our forces are on the far side of the galaxy.

We had the same infantry tech for the last 1000+ years
I had to literally spend like 15 minutes to prove you wrong
-[X] [General] Research: (1 action + 1 glint of Genius action)
--[X] New Generation Ground Vehicles (0/1)
--[X] Experimental Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development II (0/1)
-[X][General] Research: (1 action + 1 glint of Genius action) (Cry for the Future action)
--[X] Novel Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development III (0/2)
It was about 200 years ago, we got the novel AND the experimental, and after that we upgraded our elites with mono molecular melee weapons and dark light, and I think upgrading our military industry makes more specialized stuff more common, like power armor now being standard and same for gravity

Our stuff is stupid good anyways, but if you want better military, MilXX is the qualitative improvement

Gacha turn then dev or dev train all the way or bust at this point my patience feels shot after I made the plan for 12 Songs last time; and the gacha turn; and also if you wanted cool shit I made the crash out plan too

What other things do people want at this point, bring it up now before I get jumpscared by random detour requests in the coming Dev train

Because all the other arguments for detours feel pretty damn unconvincing

Maybe put two actions on the gacha and two on building fleets since we're still pretty far from the cap and more fleets will be a must when the nids hit.
