I'm so sorry! I hope you feel better.

Oh shoot, I didn't see that they got edited out to make room for the new songs. Oh well, that's for later then.

Ok, so Slannesh cultists might be headed our way. But Tyranids are definitely headed our way. I understand @The Laurent's plan better now, though I think only
-[] Improved Medical Diagnostics
and maybe
-[] Abhuman Medical Advances
-[] A Cure For Lycanthropy

are needed. Regardless, we should instruct Cerberus to be on the lookout for "the stranger and the twisted body."

Should we warn the duchy? What are good weapons against the 'nids? I doubt fighters are great, but the carronade is probably great, as are plasma macros? Lances? I dunno.

This is a pretty nice plan that sets us up to fight. Two comments:
1. We should really grab Improved Medical Diagnostics
2
. We consecrate Grace of the Light - Nurn. 3 worlds off from consecrating the entire Irridanus Sub-sector, justification here.

I do think we should help our Thules, though. Plus, considering, uh, Genestealers and also Thules, they're absolutely going to be a target for infiltration.

I think these Songs might be of help in dealing with the Tyranids

Let Those Harming That We Hide Keep Nothing - Grounding, Protection, Silence, Silence, Grounding

Let Me See What Sleeps Within My Kin - Perception Humanity Song Slumber

We already know one War song: Sun, Fire, Death, DEATH, DEATH!

Y'know, for when we really want something to blow the fuck up
I think we might know something better for this.
[Unlocked: The Star]
[Requirements: The Sun I-V]
Do we know if The Star is a melody or a song?

Edit:
I think these Songs might be of help in dealing with the Tyranids

Let Those Harming That We Hide Keep Nothing - Grounding, Protection, Silence, Silence, Grounding

Let Me See What Sleeps Within My Kin - Perception Humanity Song Slumber
Oh the second one there sounds excellent.

If we do research this turn we'll want to maximum military next turn. We can slam out 6(!) SBGs in a single turn and we'll want to do that *before* Chaos gits actually show up.

Military strategy is Build Strategy. We need to build shit up before the actual crisis hits.

[ ] Plan: As Expected of 40K...
-[ ] [Free] Consecrate in Sacred Sand (Grace of the Light - Nurn? I want to say that says Nurn?)
-[ ] [Free] Remove Psykana from "The Devouring Mechadendrite", raise "Glint of Genius" to 40 Choirs
-[ ] [General] Research
--[ ] Improved Medical Diagnostics
--[ ] A Cure for Lycanthropy (Free AP)
--[ ] Novel Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development II + Experimental Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development
--[ ] Abhuman Medical Advances (Free AP)
-[ ] [Psykana] Conduct Six Melodies (0.8/1 - Auto Complete) - [Choose Melodies]
--
[ ] Paths I, Growth I, Prophecy I, Community I, Perception III, Family I
--[ ] Auto Melody: Logic III
-[ ] [Free] Pass the word up the chain of whoever's busy keeping Van Zandt placated, that our diviners have identified a likely threat approaching from the northeast, whether from the Galactic Rim or Extragalactic is unclear, but to be extremely wary if any colonies in that direction start going dark, signs are saying to "Beware the Stranger and the Twisted Body", which suggests some degree of infiltration and physical modification, and that it'll attack bit by bit until it can go in one big rush. Keep your eyes peeled, both aethryic and otherwise.
-[ ] [Free] On that note, pass the word down to our neighbors in Mashan Temple Authority, the Shipwright's Grove, and the Lords of Eternity that our diviners have picked up on a likely major Chaos incursion, spearheaded by agents of the Tempter. It's not guaranteed, but if it does come, it'll likely be starting from the Galactic West and moving east across the Sector, and given our how divination picked up there being a Titan with them, a united front would probably be in our best interests if it comes to that. Keep your eyes peeled and give us the heads up if it materialized, and we'll have reinforcements on the way ASAP.

So, this is basically doing a research push to prep for the likely nids hitting from the Northeast with 4 Research projects for 2 AP, because with a full 40 Choir Glint of Genius, we've got 4 charges of "Two Research per AP", then one single AP research to recharge our pool for likely the rest of the game. We do a full court press on our med-tech in hopes it gives us a bonus to our Infrastructure growth like the Chi-kans did,

I'm tempted to adjust a bit myself, to focus on screening and fixing the Thules up a bit so we can update our ground forces--which are going to be important if fucking titans are on the way.

Tyranids aren't going to be here for the immediate future, especially since they have to punch through the Free Duchy first, but Chaos could pop in at any moment.

EDIT: Adjusted, the Thules can probably keep for another decade, we can grab that + Irritian Translation Boxes next turn hopefully In exchange, we get an upgrade for our soldiers.

Clone Creation being cheaper is something as well...not sure what the societal implications of that will be. I know it's for specialized clones but uhh one can in theory use it for normal folk.

Not sure what the rule for Cloning is in Warhammer. Chaos doesn't do fuckery for it I think

Also @HeroCooky did we roll for Psykana?

Final revision to my plan before i go sleep main change is Improved Medical Diagnostics instead of the Standard Psychic Hoods

[] A Symphony and fleet expansion preparations
-[] [Psykana] Sing a Symphony (Choose Five Songs)
--[] A Web of Song, The Devouring Mechadendrite, A Glint of Genius, Unto Works Generational, Bound to the Stars
-[] [Free] Melody (0.8/1 - Auto Complete)
--[] Logic III
-[] [General] Research: x2
--[] Ship Equipment Standardization - [1 DP Equipment] (0/1)(ship shrines)
--[] Small Automata Experiments and Plasma Integrity Studies
--[] Burner Seeker Mines and Rotary Plasma-Macro Cannons
--[] Improved Medical Diagnostics
-[ ] [Free] Consecrate in Sacred Sand (Grace of the Light - Nurn? I want to say that says Nurn?)-[] move 20 choirs from The Devouring Mechadendrite to A Glint of Genius
Logic III upgrades the song boosting general actions so i hope we can do void XII next turn so we unlock grand cruisers
We unlocked Symphony so let see what singing one does(and the first might give us a bonus action)
Plasma Integrity Studies i want to do a refit that gives the Leo the longer ranged plasma guns and this research boost that and unlocks automation as well.
Standardisation is done now as we can only do one part per turn, and i like to follow this up with autoloader research.

the Symphony designed by Neablis:
First Symphony - of aspirational progress.
1. A Web of Song - "Sing for me of better days." It's a proclamation of purpose and a good start to the symphony. Sets the tone.
2. The Devouring Mechadendrite - "Idle hands cannot exist when work abounds." Describes how we'll achieve our goals. Work unceasing.
3. A Glint of Genius - "The efforts of the many, distilled into one singular moment. A singular moment of inspiration." - Continues the theme, success will require more than hard work, but also cleverness and inspiration from everybody.
4.Unto Works Generational - "Generations upon generations toiling with only one promise. That their children may one day see the fruits of their ancestor's labors." - A dedication to continuing this effort far into the future.
5. Bound to the Stars - "So we can burn our story into the Stars Themselves!" Seems like a great way to end a potential song.

Your adjustment kicked out Growth, too. Which was part of the amended deal.
Guess the upgraded melodies are for songs important to deal with what we were warned about?
(If they are, i can live with that)

I'm not sure what I can knock out to get that, I'll take another look though.

EDIT: Grounding can wait, I think, I'll put that in.

Eight with the new song, 10 if we can activate both Unto Works Generational & Heart of Industry at the same time.
If you sing the 33% and 25% Song together, then you can turn 3 Build SBGs into 5 Build SBGs.

I want to push on the symphony here. Maybe instead of one of the research actions? Mostly because it's almost absolutely certain to get us a bonus action next turn. And - well, symphony! I want to see what it does! I have two options here (one of which has been edited). The proposed "Symphony of Aspirational Progress" is below, with justification.
-[] [Psykana] Sing a Symphony (Choose Five Songs)
--[] A Web of Song, The Devouring Mechadendrite, A Glint of Genius, Unto Works Generational, Bound to the Stars

Could I ask what Vibe you're going with in this Symphony? Just asking since this is the kind of thing we do not want to half-ass
First Symphony - of aspirational progress. Link is here.
Herocooky has said they won't weigh in on symphonies, but they did say that my interpretation of how to read the vibe is correct:

Mrrrrrrrr...

Okay, fine, FINE, we'll give it a go!

Thank you! You're being the supreme politician in balancing all the different plans here.

I'm looking forward to the next round of song ideation - a lot of cool new ideas should open up with all these melodies. There should be a lot of new & high-level songs we can sing.
