[] Plan: Preparation for the Slut
-[] Economic Harmonization - (Shipwright's Grove)

Though the Families/Grove and the Federation have been economically friendly and have closer ties, it is time to bring that relationship even closer together. Sharing a single market with shared standards (Read: The Federations) for people and goods, as well as allowing for foreign investment rights to be granted to both parties will cause both states to benefit and come closer together
(Gain: Closer relations and influence with and over the Shipwright's Grove.)
-[] [General] Research:
--[] Novel Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development II (0.5)

(Gain: Infantry Weapons and Armor Upgrades.)
--[] Experimental Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development (0.5)
(Gain: New Infantry Weapons and Armors.)
--[] Noosphere Harmonized Interface and Directed Anti-Gravity Military Utilization
--[] Burner Seeker Mines and Rotary Plasma-Macro Cannons (free)

We didn't get better weapons for a long time and I want to maybe get Grove to join us so we may use the sands to help defend, defensive expansion time

I think these are all the Songs that were gained or upgraded this turn.

Edit: Powering up Glint of Genius to full will get us to 0.95 bonus research progress for every action, basically doubling it. Really powerful. Hearbeat of Industry is redundant with Unto Works Generational unless we get a ton more Choirs than we currently have. Hippity Hoppity is cool, but again, we don't have enough Choirs. Finally, we can communicate good and travel Unstable Warp Routes really well, too.

Seems like the two new songs we got this turn are going to stay unused for the foreseeable future, unfortunately.

Hypothetically I wouldn't be against powering up Glint of Genius, but practically speaking part of the point of the bonuses is to help make it attractive to actually do Research... something that clearly hasn't been happening? Like the bonuses have drastically increased at the same time as the amount of actions we spent on Research have decreased.

To be honest, now that I think about it, maybe we should rush some psychic ship weapons? I'm not sure if we could harm the Necrons at all if it came to it, but we can totally hit them with an outside context solution, or a problem from their perspective.

Or just the killing song I saw here a while ago, nova-something?

No, if we fight we die. That is what our god just told us. Hear the warning of the Star Child.

I'm pretty sure we're just going to have to let them get their ships back and hope they don't kill us. It's frustrating because as horror-show as the Necrons are, the Imperium is canonically able to... actually fight them? Like, not just strategically where the answer would be, "They're really big" but tactically as well.

Whereas in this case it seems like they so outclass us that we can't do jack shit to them.

But it is what it is.

E: Like, in the setting you're able to place down your little mans as the Imperium or the Orks and potentially win against an equivalent points Necron army.

It's worth moving our Choirs around for the greater bonus if we're doing an all-Research turn. The Devouring Mechadendrite doesn't need to be active when we're not using it.

Maybe we make some inroads with the shipwright's so that they don't get Slanneshed.

I also don't think we're done with the psykana train quite yet, this is probably a good time to sing shielding against chaos and the development song we just spent two melodies on.

And a symphony. That almost certainly gets us a free action next turn.

Also - logic would upgrade Paths without treason (Slaanesh incoming?) and the devouring mechadendrite. Perception would upgrade Hippity Hoppity (maybe to actually be feasible to sing?) Struggle and fire would do the new military action.

@HeroCooky quick question about that if you have time - it gives a 25% bonus to full actions, but only for full actions? All of our military actions are 1 action. So I'm really not sure what it does.

We should maybe give everyone a heads up. I know the Duchy won't give a rat's ass about us but the Grove would probably want to hear of the coming Slannesh crusade and, hey, the Duchy might like to hear about the Tyrranids coming their way as well

I think it's not necessarily that we wouldn't be able to win this fight, more that we would end up awakening and having to fight the entire fleet regardless. And that would kill us off.

It is a little frustrating that we spent one of the 3 holy turns we had trying to be better against necrons instead of designing holy ships and it appears to have gotten us jack squat.

If we do a research turn we should power up Glint of Genius all the way and go for it. But there is one big reason not to:
We can finally sing a symphony. And that will get us a bonus action next turn, almost certainly. So that might be a better action. Similarly, this news makes me want to sing the anti-chaos & the auto-development song, since we won't be able to dedicate energy to those anytime soon.

You forget that the Imperium typically doesn't have to fight against 80+ Necron Ships at once, led by a guy who was powerful enough to command a World Engine, while not having 5-to-1 numbers advantage.

Yeah, that's why you use it when you mass-produce stuff with your other bonuses.

We are gonna probably need to warn the Grove about the attack they will suffer so that they can prepare for it. Necron is a self-solving problem(ie let them pass) and the Duchy needs a heads up about something fucking them up(We don't know about tyrranids).

--[] Shield Us From The Influence Of The Four - Protection, Hope, Grounding, Health, Protection
--[] The prophecied song of auto-development - Progress/Community/Family/Unity
-[] Economic Harmonization - (Shipwright's Grove)
--[] Warn them through existing diplomatic channels of the suspected chaos threat to their West.

Yeah, that's why you use it when you mass-produce stuff with your other bonuses.
Sorry @HeroCooky I'm still confused. The only use-case I can currently imagine is spending 3x actions on military in one turn to get 4 military actions out of it, because we don't currently have any other bonus that reduces military actions. Do we need to get more bonuses to military actions to stack them up to do anything else?

Also - would is Progress/Community/Family/Unity the auto-development song we're looking for, now that we have all the melodies?

I was waiting for the research song to be upgraded before doing more research but now we know about a chaos invasion we should start working on upgrading our fleet(expanding would require more choirs for FTL but we can replace the frigates with grand cruisers in the existing SBG's to get around that.

--[] Ship Equipment Standardization - [1 DP Equipment] (0/1)(ship shrines)

--[] Standard Psychic Hoods

-[] [Free] Consecrate In Sacred Sand (The highest population one not yet Consecrated)
-[] move 20 choirs from The Devouring Mechadendrite to A Glint of Genius

Logic III upgrades the song boosting general actions so i hope we can do void XII next turn so we unlock grand cruisers
We unlocked Symphony so let see what singing one does(and the first might give us a bonus action)
Plasma Integrity Studies i want to do a refit that gives the Leo the longer ranged plasma guns and this research boost that and unlocks automation as well.
Standardisation is done now as we can only do one part per turn, and i like to follow this up with autoloader research.

[] [General] Terraform (Planet) - (Auto-Terraformation - 100.M43)
Do we pick a target for this or is it a random one?
If we get to pick i would take:
Yeogawa - (Target Biosphere: Flowering Abdundance) - (Maximum Population: 46 Billion) - (Terraformation Time: ~220 Years)
As i like the target Biosphere and it houses a lot.

Sorry @HeroCooky I'm still confused.
If you sing the 33% and 25% Song together, then you can turn 3 Build SBGs into 5 Build SBGs. If you have additional questions, I can't amswer them due to headache.

And you don't have Family or Community.

Also, you people need to read the update again, as you completely ignored the first three~four sentences.

5 to 1 numbers advantage is actually not that far away.

Behold, the SB-F-G (the F stands for fucking, because this thing contains over 9000 Thules (actual total is like 11 000)

210
Aries105
Lupus105
175
Taurus35
Sagittarius35
Crux35
Chamleon35
Scutum35
120
Libra40
Hydrus40
Scorpio40
80
Leo40
Pegasus40
Andromeda59
Rusbucket

It costs 4 actions to build (so 3 with the military song discount), requires 60 Choirs to move, and contains a total of 585 combat vessels.

If you sing the 33% and 25% Song together, then you can turn 3 Build SBGs into 5 Build SBGs. If you have additional questions, I can't amswer them due to headache.
Oh, those stack...

Make that 700 combat vessels then.

(Note, this is not an actual question or commentary, it's just mindless fun).

Do we have enough Choirs per turn to start turning out SBGs like there's no tomorrow? We went up 5 last turn and 4 this turn. I'm not sure where all our Choirs are going, but the drain is enough that we probably can't make like 150 ships and staff all of them.

I'm so sorry! I hope you feel better.

Oh shoot, I didn't see that they got edited out to make room for the new songs. Oh well, that's for later then.

Ok, so Slannesh cultists might be headed our way. But Tyranids are definitely headed our way. I understand @The Laurent's plan better now, though I think only
-[] Improved Medical Diagnostics
and maybe
-[] Abhuman Medical Advances
-[] A Cure For Lycanthropy

are needed. Regardless, we should instruct Cerberus to be on the lookout for "the stranger and the twisted body."

Should we warn the duchy? What are good weapons against the 'nids? I doubt fighters are great, but the carronade is probably great, as are plasma macros? Lances? I dunno.

This is a pretty nice plan that sets us up to fight. Two comments:
1. We should really grab Improved Medical Diagnostics
2
. We consecrate Grace of the Light - Nurn. 3 worlds off from consecrating the entire Irridanus Sub-sector, justification here.
