The Devouring Mechadendrite is a huge boost to action economy, and it's only at level one. We should get it to level 3 immediately.

Along with that, perhaps it's a good idea to spend our other actions on non-General actions this turn, like building ships in [Military], or upgrading our other songs.
 
Oh the free general actions are gonna be fun for doing general ind dev. We can get food up so fast if we do it and it applies onto itself so damn. I love this thing
 
Shouldn't be. We don't have logic lvl 2.



TBH, it's not like they're lost.

We just need to (finally) design an upgraded scout cruiser, build a special task force full of them, then decommision all the old scouts.
So, that's 2 actions over 2 turns to free up 40 Choirs.

Introduction (1 action) + Gift (2 action) is needed to potentially absorb pieces of the Clan without causing loss of relations. And the 2 actions for the Gift needs to be done in the same turn.

I'm doing Abyssal Eye for a few reasons - in part because if we want to try to consecrate an entire sub-sector, Irridanus is the easiest with only 9 planets, 1 of which is already consecrated. And there are a lot of people living on Howling Gale.

1) We get the Voxx Primus Project finally finished off, with the last habitats we need to cover the entire redistribution, if anything's worth a fourth action, that'll be it. Absorbing a Hive World without an atrocity has to qualify.
2) We get Four Songs upgraded, Bound to the Stars, A Web of Song, Break Your Chains, and the Devouring Mechadendrite
3) We use the bonus General AP we got from shaking loose 50 choirs to work on The Devouring Mechadendrite to do two ticks on diplo-annexing the Ashan, as diplomacy is a General Action. Once we've got them, we can devour Macabre whole.

Nice. Our plans are pretty similar but you're doing Habs & Economic Harmonization instead of The Grand Gift. Arguments to be made both ways - I think I'd like to get the subversion slot freed up to work on the Black Cat & have immeidate access to the 3 weird systems with the archaeo-tech warp gates connecting them.

I also like getting Paths more than Struggle. I don't know if Break Your Chains is super-relevant now, and people have made good arguments for Paths unlocking some cool song options. Either way.

Also - Sacred Sands on Droma vs. Howling Gale. Eh, I'd kind of like to cover a whole sub-sector and that's much easier in Irridanus but I could see the argument to FORTIFY our capital system.

1. If we do the Grand Gift right now, can we reassign our subversion department immediately? I'd like to get them ticking on the Black Cat.
2. Do we need to maintain 10 choirs free to maintain the auto-ticker, or direct it? How does that work?
3. How long do we have before the Habitat action becomes unavailable?
 
Personally in between those two plans - I like handling Grand Gift soon in case something alerts them to our subversion early, waiting until last decade seems dicey. But I also prefer consecrating home system first, it's the most important spiritually to us, might have effects.

I forget which planet has the Prophet's grave memorial, is that Droma III? Would be cool to sacred sand consecrate.

Love that both upgrade our communication and travel, I imagine that will be a big win.

This plan focuses on 5 things:
1. Upgrading our workhorse songs. This option really should be in every plan this turn, it's just too good.
2. Sets us up to integrate the Ashan next turn. We only need one more action!
3. Gets us out from under the ticker on the Families and yoinks Brans this turn (probably).
4. Sets us up to do a 6-planet colonization next turn, which will be the 3 gigachads & the newly unlocked planets in Where Dreams Bloom, Where Gods Die and Where Iron Screams. There's something interesting out there, let's figure out what it is!
5. Gets us started on subverting the Black Cat Company. It's possible this will be more involved than just pointing the ticker at them, but the Black Cat is a major regional power with one primary planet, we should at least try.

I'd say delay the grand gift. If you look at our knight houses, they're nearly ready finishing an upgrade to our gear. So, wait for that, and we can gift better mechs for greater honor duels.

That's an amazing point. Probably better to delay until next turn so our friendly neighborhood catspaws are more likely to win their duels.

Alright, I'm on board with @Alectai's plan, with mild opinions that Paths would be better than Struggle and that we should ensure we have 10x free Choirs to keep the auto-ticker going (dependent on QMs answer to my question).

Then next turn we can do another 2x general actions to do the poison pill & integrate the Ashan (which is hopefully only a single action if we do both of the diplomacy actions this turn). Then we can do all of the swapping ISCs and pivoting the subversion slot that's in my plan above.

If only we didn't have ominous necron sounds in the background...

Struggle upgrades our revolution Song, and is generally really good with a lot of Songs too.

Also…maybe we should build the duchy ships? I know it's a Cold War but like…we are just open to getting jumped still?

I feel like they're not going to want to pull the trigger before the NAP runs out, because that's useful for them in that they don't need to further reinforce the front. But it's on deck next turn, I just want to upgrade a bunch of Songs this turn.

Especially since if Mechadendrite scales like Spark of Genius did, we'll hit the point of getting 2 General AP for every one we spend, which is wonderful

Also, the Hungering Mechadendrites Song actually makes the Giant Mining Ship feasible to make which is awesome.

Incidentally, that evacuation is still ongoing, right? But once we get this, we officially have Enough Space for everyone? So the project is officially "Done" save for the execution?
 
The downside of the Grand Gift is that we could, in theory, lose but honestly...price worth paying. Though I will rag on our "Elite Knights" if they fuck this up

Yeah, definitely. And... I think the ISC discount might scale with the mega-ship.

@HeroCooky Is making an ISC a general action? Does the discount scale with the mega-ship? It feels like a way we possibly get to all-15, if we can use both ISCs & the planet-cracker at the same time.

As there are 10 Celestial Choirs free to pursue research, the High Council can ask them to pursue a target instead of what comes close. This will, naturally, be lost once they dip below 10 Choirs.

Completely off-topic, but I just had a thought.

If we researched the Starlance and Shatterprow, it might give us more research options for using PsyTech in our ships. We also have a Song dedicated purely to stealth, Turn Their Eyes Away.

Ergo we could probably upgrade our scouts significantly in the future with new stealth psytech, pump up that scouting efficiency, and save more on Choirs.
