I really want Eggman to eventually become a better person for Belle. And any other children he might gain. A big ask, I know.

If we want to aim for that then we'll have to work on the character development and hopefully gain the memories of the chiller Eggmen* across the multiverse. And hopefully unlock Mr Tinkers memories for real.

*Off the top of my head Sonic X and Sonic Boom would be nice.

For some inexplicable reason, My mind a few hours ago jumped to a parody of "No Weenies Allowed" but with Belle trying to get into a Villains only establishment in a version of the future where she's adjusted to Eggman XD

"You're to going to want that place, tiny."

"COCONUTS' WEENIE HUT JR!? Hey!"

"Oh sorry. I meant next door."

"Oh ok tha- COCONUTS' SUPER WEENIE HUT JR!?"

Why? I haven't watched sonic prime
Can you clarify why?
Okay, so what was done to Amy to make her into Rusty Rose is very similar to the Archie comics (and SATAM Sonic's) roboticization process. Basically turning any normal creature into a subservient robot. But, there's a flaw: the mental effects can be undone, at least temporarily, with some chaos energy. Like the kind found in power rings.

Now, it's possible that the similarities are purely cosmetic. But. If they aren't, and work on similar principles, we would then have a super strong cyborg Amy trying to murder us for whatever was done to her and also whatever she happens to remember us doing. So.

Keep her away from the rings. And the emeralds.

Was her conversion made against her will?

I don't think the show ever explain nor hinted how she was converted into a cyborg. For all we know Amy may have NIDS and agree to become a cyborg to be able to live or something.

Oh yeah, Rusty does eventually get betrayed and turn on the Chaos Council in Canon, but there is no indication one way or the other whether she was forcibly transformed or not.

For all we know she was an asshole who turned for more power or something.
