Tales of the Multiverse
Ever since the Calamitous Collision, two worlds have combined into one world. The shockwave from the event spread across the multiverse, making items, people, even buildings, to appear in this new world. Such things such as this:
Orbot POV
Ever since the Doctor came back from his trip, along with his wood-based badnik, he's been in a state of depression. Not surprising since he somehow managed to retain parts of his memories as Mr. Tinker or whatever. I hope he managed to bounce back s-
I heard the comms station ringing. I looked at the screen and saw it was one of the Egg Pawn assigned for patrol and press the accept button.
"What is it, 16294?" I asked, wondering why it was calling.
"Well……we found something while patrolling, sir." The voice said as I raised a metallic brow.
"What exactly was it that your squad found that you had to contact the main base?" I asked it, starting to get nervous.
The voice said nothing before an image came up: A giant mechanical turtle. Thing was, it looks like something not only designed the turtle, but also made sure it looks exactly like one. It was thankfully offline.
"……bring it back to base. This instant. The doctor will definitely want to see what it is."
Later: No POV
The giant mechanical turtle was brought to the hanger bay, with Dr. Starline looking over it, very much interested in both the function and the structural design of the machine.
Starline: My word, whoever designed and create this work of art is truly an genius of mechanical engineering, not to the likes of Eggman but definitely up there.
Rusty Rose came over, rolling in a cart full of tools.
Starline: thank you dear. Now then, let's see what make this machine tick.
Starline took hours dismantling the machine, including the four turrets on its 'shell'. Cubot accidentally used one on Rusty, and miraculously freezing her. Starline immediately had Egg Pawns bring them to the lab for further studies while he worked on its brain module. Finally, after a full 6 hours of nonstop work, he managed to remove its brain module without damaging it. Surprisingly since whoever designed it made sure that if it gets damaged significantly enough, the brain would immediately fried itself.
Starline: *Whew* That. Was. Exhausting. Now let's see what makes this thing so special.
Starline inserted the brain module into a console and immediately after, data started flowing out. Starline immediately began working, shifting through data. He was extremely impressed as he saw this mechanical turtle was part of a massive network of robots, all bases off animal. Similar to Eggman, given the design of some of his badniks, but unlike him, these machines were designed to look exactly look like the animals they mimicked.
He saw footage of humans attacking it, calling it a 'Shellsnapper' and was impressed on how the machine fought them, and smiled menacingly.
Starline: Eggman will love this. 16924, how exactly did you find this?
16924: Well we were patrolling the outer edge of our territory when a portal, multi-colored, appeared 10 feet before my squad and out came that thing. Strange thing was, the way the portal opened was like a mirror being smashed before it disappeared.
Starline was worried as he heard this. It seems that things will get hectic in the near future apparently.
