The rhythmic hum of machinery filled the air, creating a constant backdrop to the bustling activity within Dr. Eggman's laboratory. Belle found herself surrounded by an array of gadgets and contraptions, her wide eyes absorbing the scene. Unlike the cozy workshop of Mr. Tinker, which exuded warmth and the comforting scent of wood and oil, this lab felt like a chaotic arena of invention, alive with eccentric machines and the the occasional whir of gears. Transported from her father's lab, she felt disoriented yet undeniably curious about this new environment.
As she wandered through the space, Belle examined the various rooms of the base, her mind racing with possibilities. The atmosphere here crackled with urgency and ambition, the air heavy with the sharp, metallic scent of oil and machinery.
Suddenly, she noticed two small robots working nearby. The first was Cubot, slightly taller than his companion. He had a black square head topped with a flattened yellow cap, giving him a quirky look. His jaw could separate from his head, revealing a light blue cover that resembled a mouth. His gray-framed, pupil-less light blue eyes sparkled with mischief. Cubot's chest was a smaller yellow cube, and he wore yellow gloves on his hands. His arms and back were made of thin gray bars, connected by black and yellow ball joints, while his lower body was an open black cube with a gray interior.
Next to him was Orbot, a bit shorter and rounder. He had a round head with a red cap on top and a smaller black semi-sphere underneath that formed his lower face. His mouth could open to reveal a cover, and his gray-framed, pupil-less eyes were a bright light blue. Orbot's arms were similar to Cubot's, with thin bars and ball joints, and he wore red gloves. His lower body was a small semi-sphere with a gray interior, connected to his back by a ball joint.
The two robots were playfully bickering as they worked, their friendly banter filling the air with laughter. Belle couldn't help but smile at their lively interaction. Intrigued, she stepped closer, eager to learn more about these two charming robots.
Cubot was the first to notice her.
"Hey, do you think she's one of the new assistants Eggman mentioned?" he asked, his voice bubbling with excitement.
"Assistants? More like potential liabilities," Orbot replied, his tone dry. "But she doesn't look like she's here against her will."
Belle approached them, her heart racing with a mix of apprehension and intrigue. "Excuse me, but who are you two?"
Cubot perked up, his enthusiasm infectious. "I'm Cubot! And this is Orbot! We're Eggman's oldest creations! Well, sort of. He hasn't gotten rid of us yet, so that's something, right?"
Orbot crossed his arms, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "We're more like his reluctant assistants. And you are…?"
"I'm Belle," she replied, her voice steadying. "I was just with my father, Mr. Tinker. I don't really understand what's happening."
Cubot tilted his head, trying to process her words. "Mr. Tinker? Is he like Eggman?"
Belle shook her head, a frown creasing her brow. "No! He's not like this. He builds things to help people, not to hurt them." The memory of her father's last moments flooded her mind, the bittersweet farewell that still stung her heart. She could still hear his voice, filled with love and sorrow, as he told her how proud he was of her, how he would always love her, no matter what he became. The thought of him being anything like Dr. Eggman felt impossible.
Orbot observed her closely, sensing the conflict within her. "You seem troubled. It's understandable. Eggman can be… unpredictable."
Belle glanced around the lab, her gaze landing on the various machines and tools scattered about. "I don't know much about Dr. Eggman. I just… I don't understand why I'm here."
Cubot's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Well, you're here now! Maybe you can help us with something! We could use a fresh perspective!"
Belle felt a flicker of hope at his words. "Help with what?"
Before Cubot could respond, she noticed a peculiar contraption in the corner—a large, clunky device with a series of spinning gears and flashing lights. It looked like a cross between a blender and a disco ball, complete with a colorful array of lights that pulsed in time with the whirring of the gears.
As Belle leaned closer to the bizarre machine, she examined the colorful stickers that adorned the buttons, each one promising a different function. The vibrant hues caught her eye, but she was still trying to wrap her head around the purpose of this peculiar machine.
"What exactly do we need this for?" she asked, curiosity piqued. "I mean, it looks fun, but how does it help us?"
Cubot bounced over, his eyes wide with excitement. "Oh, this is the Party Blaster 3000! It was invented by Dr. Eggman when he built an interstellar amusement park called Eggmanland! He created all sorts of machines to match the spirit of the park!"
Belle raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Eggmanland? What was that like?"
Orbot stepped in, his tone a mix of sarcasm and knowledge. "It was a grand spectacle, filled with various zones designed for entertainment. Each area had its own theme, and Eggman made sure his inventions reflected that. The Party Blaster 3000 is just one of many machines he created to enhance the experience."
Cubot nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! There were roller coasters, games, and all kinds of attractions! Eggman wanted everyone to have fun, even if his ultimate goal was to trap Sonic and his friends!"
Belle chuckled, imagining the chaos that must have ensued in such a place. "So, this machine is supposed to create a distraction during battles by blasting confetti and playing music?"
"Exactly!" Cubot exclaimed, his innocence shining through. "It's like it wants to have fun but doesn't know how! Kind of like me when I try to dance!"
Belle laughed, the sound brightening the atmosphere around them. "I can relate to that! Sometimes I feel like I'm just spinning in circles, trying to figure things out."
Orbot, watching the exchange, couldn't help but smirk. "Well, at least you two have something in common. A knack for chaos."
Belle laughed, feeling a connection with Cubot's childlike enthusiasm. "Maybe we can work on it together! If we can figure out how to make it work, it could be a great distraction against those invaders."
Cubot's eyes lit up with excitement. "Yes! Let's do it! We can turn this lab into a party zone! Who wouldn't want to dance their way out of danger?"
Orbot raised an eyebrow, a hint of skepticism in his voice. "And what if it malfunctions? We could end up covered in confetti while the invaders are still advancing."
Belle shrugged, her determination growing. "But what if it works? We could create a diversion that gives us time to think and plan. Plus, it would be fun! Sometimes, a little joy can go a long way in tough situations."
Cubot nodded vigorously. "I like the way you think, Belle! Let's make this happen!"
With newfound energy, the trio set to work. Belle examined the Party Blaster 3000, her mind racing with ideas. She noticed a series of buttons and levers, each labeled with colorful stickers. "What if we start by figuring out how to make it play music? That could set the mood!"
Cubot bounced around, gathering tools and parts. "I'll find the sound module! Orbot, can you help Belle with the wiring?"
"Of course," Orbot replied, his tone shifting to one of reluctant enthusiasm. "Just try not to blow anything up, okay?"
As they worked together, Belle felt a sense of camaraderie growing between them. The rhythmic clanking of tools and the occasional burst of laughter filled the lab, creating a warm atmosphere that contrasted sharply with the cold, metallic surroundings. Belle's heart swelled with hope as she realized that even in a place like this, she could find friendship and purpose.
After a while, they managed to connect the sound module to the Party Blaster 3000. Belle took a deep breath, her fingers hovering over the buttons. "Ready?"
Cubot nodded, his eyes wide with anticipation. "Let's do this!"
With a press of a button, the machine whirred to life. A catchy tune filled the air, and colorful lights began to flash in sync with the music. Belle couldn't help but dance a little, her worries momentarily forgotten. Cubot joined in, his movements clumsy yet joyful, while Orbot rolled his eyes but couldn't suppress a smile.
"This is amazing!" Belle exclaimed, her laughter ringing out. "Now, let's see if we can get the confetti working!"
They worked tirelessly, adjusting gears and tweaking settings until finally, with one last turn of a lever, the Party Blaster 3000 erupted in a shower of colorful confetti. It filled the air like a vibrant storm, swirling around them and creating a spectacle of joy amidst the chaos of the lab.
"Look at it go!" Cubot cheered, spinning in circles as confetti rained down. "This is the best day ever!"
Belle felt a warmth in her heart, a sense of belonging that she hadn't felt since her father's lab. "We did it! We really did it!"
Orbot, surprisingly, joined in the celebration, his usual dry demeanor replaced with a hint of excitement. "I must admit, this is quite impressive. Perhaps there's more to this 'fun' concept than I initially thought."
As the confetti settled, Belle looked at her new friends, her heart swelling with gratitude. "Thank you for helping me find a way to bring a little light into this place. I know we're in a tough situation, but together, we can make a difference."
Cubot nodded enthusiastically. "And who knows? Maybe we can inspire others to join us! If we can spread a little joy, maybe we can change things for the better!"
Belle smiled, her eyes shining with determination. "Yes! We can show everyone that there's always a way to fight back against darkness, even if it's with a little laughter and creativity."
As they continued to work on the machine, Belle felt a sense of clarity wash over her. She might not know what the future held, but one thing was clear: she was no longer alone. With Cubot and Orbot by her side, she was ready to tackle whatever challenges came their way, armed with creativity, friendship, and a bit of fun. Together, they would find a way to make things better, one small step at a time.
I've never read any comics featuring Belle, so I relied on the article about her in the fan wiki and my own thoughts about the character. While this may not be the most thorough approach to writing, I feel that it captures her essence fairly well.
Ah, Metal Sonic by far one of our greatest creations...and most vioatile. I actaully agree with Eggman regarding the mental blocks considering what happens without them.
Bit surpurised he doesn't think much of Starline or Stone though.
Speaking of that Faker, it seems like he still hasn't shown himself after all of this time. Logically you know that this SHOULD prove your superiority over him seeing as your still here standing and he's nowhere to be seen. but it doesn't. as a matter of fact the more you think about it, the more it Angers you. WHERE is he? It's not enough to merely show that you are better than him, It is only when he admits that you are better than him, or when he has lost so completely and utterly to you, THAT is when he has your permission to die. You won't anyone get in the way of that Not Even- [ERROR: OBEY EGGMAN]
That park in Sonic Colors was called Doctor Eggman's Incredible Interstellar Amusement Park or Doctor Eggman's Amazing Interstellar Amusement Park or just Egg Planet Park in the unnoficial way.
Hmm I wonder how far along the plot for Sonic IDW was before the Shattering? Because Mr Tinker was working on an Eggmanland* too. It was a indoor amusement park with Badnik themed rides. He was also singing a good version of the I Am The E.G.G.M.AN. song to the children there which was wholesome.
*Apparently he didn't know who Eggman was he just remembered the word one day and liked it.

From what I can tell, during the metal madness/IDW first Arc. Metal was already in his neo form when the empire destroyed him, so that means the shattering happened while sonic and the others fought metal, who was pretending to be eggman at the time.
I definitely wann pull the good old "I'm the good guy work with me card" on the various people who haven't heard of us in these other kingdoms
like what we did with knuckles but actually more genuine since compared to some of the people were dealing with we ARE a good guy
Absolutely well done, it's canon and both Starline and Stone will gain the following trait
Stoneline: They might not truly like each other but they both know that when it comes to following my orders, it's better they cover each other's weaknesses. (When Stone and Starline are on an adventure together, Stone adds his Heart to any Heart roll Starline makes and Starline adds his Brains roll to any Brains roll Stone makes. Additionally, the first time on the adventure that one of them would roll a failure, the other one covers, allowing a reroll.)
This is very good, I love when people use the colored text! It is unfortunately non-canon as of now. You have your choice between
+5 To A Heart Action Regarding The Restoration

Fair enough. I wasn't thinking too hard about making it fit while I was writing it, so I understand why it's non-canon. I'm a little curious what specifically made it non-canon but, I assume that would be a spoiler you can't explain. I'm just glad you enjoyed it
I'll be taking this one because I just don't like G.U.N. I don't want to give them the time of day. The Restoration may be annoying Mobians who get in our way, but G.U.N. has done more damage to the Robotnick family line than the Restoration ever has.
Edit: I have since been informed that we already have a +10 to talking to the Restoration. If that's going to conflict/won't stack, I'll take the bonus to G.U.N. instead.

Well we going need to speak with GUN to negotiate a alliance and I already pick the reward to give +10 to talk with the Restoration. In the Egg Memos Eggman does say he will hate every moment but he need both organizations to help him against the Black Arms.
Edit: also omakes don't stack, little annoying but it bears repeating.

Well done my man, unfortunately going to be non-canon but your choice of rewards between
+5 to a Black Arms related action
or
-5 to the next Black Arms next action

Very easily canon, poor Jewel has got a lot going on. You may choose between
+10 to the "Talk with the Restoration" Action
Or
+10 to the Raid Action of attacking the Restoration.
I love Metal, he's such a good little guy who wants to rend sonic limb from limb. Canon and your choice between
+5 to a Metal Sonic personal
or
+5 to the next National Action Metal Sonic is assigned to.
Ok Stoneline is an amazing trait. Though I'm curious what qualifys for an adenture here anyway?
Also you did say omake rewards don't stack...but what happens if you give a bonus to a certain Hero unit, who goes on an action you are appling a bonus to when you have already reduced the DC?
I've read a few villains victorious quests so I'm assuming this is the same.
Sometimes there will be mini arcs that take more then one chapter and likely multiple votes where a team of characters work together and preform multiple actions. For example I think assaulting Zavok is likely going to be one of those. That's what an adventure is.
The funniest thing is that puyopuyo is an actual thing for us too, like we did try to kill Sonic that one time on chemical plant in a contest of Puyo.
Otherwise from what I am reading his villain victorius quest doesn't really seem that conflict directly with ours so we may as well leave him alone.
On the other hand we will probably be one of his favorite entertainments to watch.
Like Eggman despite doing heinous shit here and there is still probably one of the villains with most charisma out of this bunch of misfit kings.
We also have to sooner or later make a theme park too, we gotta keep on brand, which no doubt will attract some people eyes.
And considering the blue annoyance is nowhere in sight we could make the park as an actual bussiness, just so that we can get resources to invade our neighbours.
Also you did say omake rewards don't stack...but what happens if you give a bonus to a certain Hero unit, who goes on an action you are appling a bonus to when you have already reduced the DC?
Basically, a unit can have an omake bonus to their next action and do an action that has an omake bonus on it, but you can't have two of the same bonus. You can't put two bonuses on the "Punch Satan in the Mouth" action, but you can give Metal a bonus to his next action AND have a bonus to the "Punch Satan in the Mouth" action.
Oh right! Thanks for reminding me. We didn't add the explanation about Adventures! Fixing that!
***Adventures***:
Adventures are opportunities where Eggman and his ragtag group of hero Units can embark into missions that involve several factors at play. These Adventures can vary from exploring some ruins, visiting unexplored lands, dealing with an enemy faction skulking around your territory, etc. Adventures take many shapes and forms and no one can fully prepare for what you may deal when taking one.
Questers can take up to 5 Hero Units to an Adventure, including Eggman, which will form an Egg Party!
The Egg Party will always need a leader, when Eggman is part of the team he automatically becomes the leader, no ifs or buts. In the situations where Eggman doesn't go on adventures, questers can choose who is the one leading this group.
During these special events, you can be sure that several rolls will be made. This can be for things like combat, solving puzzles, recalling some knowledge, talking with people or organizing a plan. When doing them, the following things will be taken into consideration:
1d100+The stat of the leader in the respective category + The respective stat of the hero unit with the highest Value in said category (Excluding the leader) and traits that might apply to that particular roll.
Synergy between party members is important, heroes that have beef with each other or similar things might cause situations to arise during the quests, causing further complications.
On the Other Hand, when taking Heroes that have good synergy between each other, buffs may be granted to rolls or team traits may appear. So give it some thought when choosing which hero Units to bring along please.
Another thing to mention is that there will be an opportunity to bring Bandits to Adventures, but there will be a Power Cap established, so take consideration of what set of Badniks to add to the squad. These Badniks may give their bonuses to combat rolls or to other things when appropriate.
***Combat***:
In this Quest, combat will be inevitable, Eggman will have to deal with enemies from all side, and that will be represented in Actions and Adventures that you may take. How combat will take place will be detailed right here:
Combat occurs when 2 or more parties come into conflict with one another. When this happens, talking is most likely out of the table and things might get dangerous. When a fight begins, rolls are made, one for each party that's involved in the conflict, using the following:
1d100+ Power or Mystic stat of the leader of the Party+ The Power or Mystic Stat of the hero unit with the highest Value in said category (Excluding the leader) and traits that might apply to that particular roll + Squad Bonus (Badnik or if the enemy brought something similar that applies.)
Each side rolls dice taking in consideration these factors and whoever rolls higher can be considered the victor of said bout.
One thing to take in mind is that in combat, there will be a classification regarding the opponents the Egg Party/Or someone else may face. Enemies can be classified as:
Mooks: Faceless minions/Common troops soldiers that Villains or Heroes may employ, basic fighters that don't have much going for them/don't have the same presence as your fighters. (1 HP unless said otherwise)
When the Egg Party faces Mooks in combat, the match is decided when they beat the mooks once in a combat roll, while the mooks have to beat the Egg Party 3 times to be able to actually be considered victorious.
As a side note, most Badniks that Eggman produces will be considered as Mooks unless stated otherwise, so if they ever fail a combat roll…consider that batch of badniks involved in a fight destroyed. But don't worry, Eggman can always create more as long as he has the chance!
Elites: A cut above the faceless minions. The super Badniks that Eggman produces fall into this area. For Elites, the Egg Party needs to beat them twice in combat rolls in order to get out of combat from them, while the elites have, same as the mooks, beat the Party 3 times in order to be considered the victors of the fight. (2 HP unless said otherwise)
Heroes/Villains: Referring to opponents of the same status as your own Egg Party, these guys will be a considerable threat in the battlefield, with the capacity to match easily the best you bring to the table. Be careful when facing them. (3 HP as standard, several Hero units can have traits that boost their HP and may force more combat round)
Against Heroes or Villains, the Party needs to surpass them 3 times in combat rolls to successfully defeat them and put them out of commission. The same applies to them, if they manage to beat the party 3 times, it lights out for them!
As a side note, critical success and critical failures count as victories/loses for the ones who get said roll. Which allows for things to take a turn for the better or worse quite fast!
